“Highly recommended, everything was excellent. A great deal of effort, thought and finesse has been put into both the food and the restaurant itself. I found the prices to be just right for the quality and quantity of food ordered. Definitely one of the best places I've eaten this year. We also met Jerry and he was lovely to talk to, please keep doing what you're doing as it is working really well!”

“This was our third time eating here and once again it didn't disappoint. There were 4 of us and we shared a number of dishes, all of which were delicious. The restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our waitress was brilliant and very patient with us as we tried to decide what to order. The manager was also very friendly, chatting to everyone and making sure we were all enjoying our meal. We will definitely be back.”

“A previous frequent and regular stop for us on our way West. Now returned after a few years since moving to Dorset. We love the location and the ambience hasn't changed at all. A hearty and friendly welcome by Tim, but entirely appropriate and not overfriendly. Excellent and a credit to the pub. Served by Shannon who was equally superb and dealt with our difficult friends very well indeed. We will definitely return soon, but on our own........... Thank you for an excellent lunch and superb service.”

“What a little gem of a pub!! Sadly no photos, but I can attest to the food being fabulous. I loved the creativity of the chef. Incredible scotch eggs, and his quirky Indian chocolate orange with a curry anglaise - whilst it sounds wrong on paper - was one of the best things I’ve had in yonks!!! Great local pub with cosmopolitan content. We loved it! 😍”

“This pub is the perfect balance of upmarket/boutique and having a homely feel. The food is outstanding quality, and our waiting staff (Minty) was excellently attentive. It was our first time there, for a romantic Saturday night date. This place did not disappoint. Plenty of car parking space. The finer details were beautiful - candles and fairy lights everywhere, water jug filled at every table, salt and pepper holders filled, a fluffy throw behind my chair, heating on, music on but not too loud. Our bill was £78, for two courses and a bottle of wine. Overall, a really fantastic pub!”
