Breathtaking course in incredible condition. We played in September 2024 and was certainly the highlights of our golfing year. An absolute gem of a golf course nestled in the middle of Poole. Can't wait to return.

What a fantastic place to play golf, the course was in immaculate condition and played very well. Greens were fast and consistent. The course provided a good challenge but there’s plenty of options to score well if you are on top of your game!

Amazing course, in fantastic condition. Lucky enough to be invited as a guest to Parkstone. What a day. The course is a good length, a mix of parkland and heathland with a woodland section as well. Very varied, which makes it even more fun. Greens were fast and also true. Fairways in great condition. Tee boxes are good and flat, I've putted on worse condition green's. I would recommend you take the opportunity to play here if it presents itself.

Played Parkstone yesterday after some of the worst rain I've seen, i couldn't believe the condition the course was in, it was immaculate! The course layout is by far the best I've played with each hole offering something different and lot to think about. The views from the golf course are just simply stunning! The marshal Nick had fantastic knowledge of the course which really helped when navigating the course. All staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much bother. Cant wait to come back and would highly recommend this course to anyone!

Being both complete beginners to golf, myself and my Grandson were looking for someone who would coach us together, and having contacted Tony he said he would be delighted to take on the task. In the first 90 minute pre-assessment lesson within the All Weather Indoor Facility, we had an initial video analysis of our golf swing, where Tony was able to identify our foot position, weight distribution, swing, head position and follow through. By being able to break each of these elements down, Tony was able to show and explain how these could be improved. We then had a further video analysis, and by taking Tony's comments onboard definitely improved our swing and hitting of the ball. We have since had further lessons on the outside pitching and putting greens, which have added to the overall learning experience. Tony's teaching technique have made the lessons fun and enjoyable, as well as providing us with his vast experience and knowledge of the game. Although still a lot to learn, I would definitely recommend Tony to anyone thinking of taking lessons or for those wanting to improve their game.

So far I have had 5 lessons with Tony and I’m so happy with his tuition that I’ve booked another 10. He has shown me where I was going wrong and given me drills and pointers to improve. He is patient and thoughtful and is happy to cover any aspect of your golf that needs help. I would highly recommend him.

I have been having lessons with Tony Hand at the Golf Swing Co. for several weeks now and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I’ve learnt a lot about the mechanics of the various swings required for driving, primarily, irons and my chipping game. Tony is a very amiable fella, who explains everything in layman’s terms, so you can eventually self analyse your own shots. Tony’s studio is well equipped and the golf swing analysis is great to see what you’re doing wrong and then the improved swing. He’s got his work cut out when we do bunker shots!

I’m beginner at golf and Tony welcomed me into the game with a great pace and understanding with it. Golf is tough but with my time with Tony I made massive improvements to my game. For a figures standpoint I took 3 strokes off of my handicap 36 to 33, still a long way to go I know but I have no doubt Tony was a big part to play in that. Cheers

We have had our annual group members (for 80 members, though we could easily fill more places) afternoon cream tea at Crane Valley for the past 3 years. Every year they provide the same superb food and service. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff, the facilities are top notch with the 80 place function room with bar and lounge area with views over the scenic golf course down to the lake. Highly recommended.

Lovely course, well prices, friendly staff and members. When taking all into account I am giving this 5 stars. The course itself is good quality with a proper length to the par 4 and 5 holes. Greens are immaculate and quick. It's not quite a championship course but given it's £13 for a twilight round if you prebook on the website it's great value. Even peak time rounds come in at under £30. The clubhouse is nice. Good selection of drinks and a nice area to sit a chill after a round. There is an outside patio nearly completed right by the 18th green which will be superb on a warm day/evening. Staff and members are very friendly and helpful. I will play here time and time again.

Teriffic round at Crane Valley GC. Played like a donkey, but that wasn't down to the course, which wasn't long, but was technical in places. Hit some good shots, but also some shockers, think I should have left the putter in the car too ! Enjoyable course, even in the drizzle !

Lovely 9 holes of golf. Easy to book via website we were advised pro shop would be shut that day and to check in at clubhouse. Warm welcome on arrival and purchased range tokens and rental trollies. Other players/members chatty and welcoming, and nice round. Uncle hadn’t played for about 10 years so nice course for him to get his swing back. Wasn’t rushed about on the course. nice course and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful round of golf at a fair price.

Tricky little golf course, plays 18, designed around a 9 hole. No par 5's but lots of par 4's (and long ones). T Boxes were difficult to get T pegs into the ground. Lovely and flat course. Such a pretty course to play. Very enjoyable. This was the first time in 20 years of my golfing experiences (and I have played many courses)...that I have ever seen steps into a bunker !! Luckily I didn't have to use them 🙃

What a little gem of a golf course! We visited on a lovely day and I had a lesson with Charlie, who was an excellent teacher, and made me feel at ease. The course has a family atmosphere to it, not intimidating like other places. The little cafe has a beautiful setting and a nice selection of dishes. Shame you're an hour away from is, hopefully we can visit soon!

Mike Dodd and all the junior coaches are fantastic. So welcoming and friendly. My son really enjoys going. They have a workbook with targets to aim for. It helps with focus and strives them to always move forward. It's a beautiful 9-hole course tucked away in Sturminster Marshall. It's definitely worth a visit for a coffee in the club house and chat with Mike.

Such a lovely golf club, came here to practice our swing (not very experienced golfers). The range is beautiful and you can hit off real grass, a useful experience when you're a beginner. The putting/pitching course is amazing. Visited the gold shop to look around and the service was really friendly, didn't feel out of place. Wish I was good enough to go out on the green, must be amazing.

A good friend and I travelled to play an open competition at Sherborne recently. Not only was the course in good condition, but the staff made us feel very welcome and appreciated. Even the captain made time to introduce himself and make us feel at home. This course will ask questions of anyones game, regardless of ability. If you’re thinking about visiting, then book yourself in, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all concerned.

A very friendly welcome from the pro shop on arrival with a good hearty breakfast in the clubhouse with a warm welcome. Weather conditions were overcast with a good downpour after 15 holes,but this did not stop us having a good days golf ⛳️. The course was heavy under foot from the previous day’s ☔️ rain but the fairways were nice to play off if played clean off the preferred lies, as for the greens they are very fast for November and very true. All in all a good away day worth a trip 👍

Lovely golf venue with 3 9 hole courses, all 3 are a good challenge and normally in really good condition. Pro shop is well stocked and the staff are friendly. The clubhouse is large and has ample seating inside and out, good range of beers and Cider, food is also spot on. Across the road they have a large trackman equipped driving range which is great for warming up before a round.

Played today on their Christmas Golf Special, what a great deal!!! Staff are brilliant, very welcoming and helpful. Course in unbelievable condition after all the storms we have had. Thank you Dorset Golf & Country Club, look forward to returning soon.

Just returned from a one night and two round stay. We had an enjoyable time and the golf course was in superb condition. All three 9’s were a challenge in their own way. All staff were very helpful and the bar staff in particular kept the bar open late in the evening for us, thanks for that. Only negative was the Halfway House was shut both days and during peak times when a lot of golfers wanted a mid round snack.

Well well what can I say about Ashley wood the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow its the first time I've played here and probably the best course in Dorset that doesn't require a handicap to attend. Had a quick bite before we started pleasantly surprised booked a buggy as I knew slope index would be high and man in pro shop matched the hot deal price as it's cheaper so value for money was great. Didn't get my best score but got a few pars thanks to the tattooed golf coach Harry shaws lessons at parley and the views here at blandford were picturesque and course is well looked after and we play quick with the buggy and slower group in front let us through pretty quick which was great only wished I lived closer to the course as I'd loved to be a member here but we'll worth the 45 minute drive so we'll be visiting again very soon.

We had originally planned to meet at a pub just down the Road, but it was closed . Another person in the car park recommended the golf club and we weren't disappointed. The menu was limited but sufficient. We were made very welcome by the person serving. The food was freshly prepared and jolly good, the others had a pudding which was also reported to be very good. We will be sure to visit again

Visited the clubhouse restaurant for a Sunday roast. Lovely friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service. The food was really good and arrived quickly to our table. Generous portion sizes and waitress looked after us throughout our meal. I would recommend booking a table in advance as it gets quite busy as very popular!! I'm definitely visiting again as I heard their full English breakfast is amazing. Highly Recommend.

Even though the weather was against us , the wind was howling helping soak us we had a great day ! The course was in excellent condition. Some very difficult holes especially with the conditions I would definitely recommend having a round of golf here. The staff and members were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely will be back for another round soon, hopefully without the sad weather.
