What a fantastic place to play golf, the course was in immaculate condition and played very well. Greens were fast and consistent. The course provided a good challenge but there’s plenty of options to score well if you are on top of your game!

Breathtaking course in incredible condition. We played in September 2024 and was certainly the highlights of our golfing year. An absolute gem of a golf course nestled in the middle of Poole. Can't wait to return.

Played Parkstone yesterday after some of the worst rain I've seen, i couldn't believe the condition the course was in, it was immaculate! The course layout is by far the best I've played with each hole offering something different and lot to think about. The views from the golf course are just simply stunning! The marshal Nick had fantastic knowledge of the course which really helped when navigating the course. All staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much bother. Cant wait to come back and would highly recommend this course to anyone!

Amazing course, in fantastic condition. Lucky enough to be invited as a guest to Parkstone. What a day. The course is a good length, a mix of parkland and heathland with a woodland section as well. Very varied, which makes it even more fun. Greens were fast and also true. Fairways in great condition. Tee boxes are good and flat, I've putted on worse condition green's. I would recommend you take the opportunity to play here if it presents itself.

I have been having lessons with Steve for 2 years now and he has undoubtedly improved all aspects of my game. Steve has a friendly and professional approach to every lesson and his knowledge of golf and coaching is second to none. He has a great ability to teach the intricate technicalities of golf swings in a relatable and easy to understand manner. He has also fitted me into a set of irons and driver which has proved to be the correct clubs for me. Couldn’t recommend Steve enough!

Steve and I have worked on my swing over the winter and the changes and advancement speaks for itself. Steve strives to stay upto date with the latest coaching techniques and this has proved invaluable for me. The Trackman hardware , software and large TV screen gives instant feedback on your shots which allows steve to give advice and recommend changes in order for his pupil to achieve better results. I would highly recommend 'Stephen Packer Golf' to anyone!! From a complete beginner to a pro who wants to fine tune their game - steve has it covered!!

Steve is a top class coach. I am fairly new to golf and Steve has really helped with my approach to the game. I have also used the coaching that Steve has given in other aspects of my life. At work I lead IT teams and there is an element of coaching I have to do in the workplace. I have brought aspects, especially in the mental approach that Steve applies to golf, into my my day job. Steve is a very friendly person and his coaching lessons are fun, so learning is an enjoyable experience. I would recommend Steve if you want to take your game to the next level.

I have been having lessons with Steve for over 3 years and I highly recommend him. He is very well qualified and experienced but the stand out thing for me is his genuine interest in improving my game. I have played and studied golf for over 40 years and had my fair share of lessons, Steve is without doubt the best coach I have had. I researched well to find a coach and I now travel 3hrs to see Steve and have video lessons in between. We work on all aspects of my game and I thoroughly enjoy it. Top class coach and person.

Since working with Steve both my game & understanding of golf has improved vastly. Steve not only explains the technique, but also the impact and most importantly the why. This is further underpinned by the quality video recording that Steve utilises within the lesson, later sent through with his commentary and analysis as explained during the lesson itself. I really like how Steve is incredibly flexible with his approach; that there’s not just a one size fits all swing. This is something really constructive as it doesn’t feel generic and is much more personalised - particularly helpful as I’m left handed playing right handed. I have really enjoyed the detailed analysis and explanation, as well as the “feelings” that Steve helps you to understand.

Lovely course, well prices, friendly staff and members. When taking all into account I am giving this 5 stars. The course itself is good quality with a proper length to the par 4 and 5 holes. Greens are immaculate and quick. It's not quite a championship course but given it's £13 for a twilight round if you prebook on the website it's great value. Even peak time rounds come in at under £30. The clubhouse is nice. Good selection of drinks and a nice area to sit a chill after a round. There is an outside patio nearly completed right by the 18th green which will be superb on a warm day/evening. Staff and members are very friendly and helpful. I will play here time and time again.

Teriffic round at Crane Valley GC. Played like a donkey, but that wasn't down to the course, which wasn't long, but was technical in places. Hit some good shots, but also some shockers, think I should have left the putter in the car too ! Enjoyable course, even in the drizzle !

We have had our annual group members (for 80 members, though we could easily fill more places) afternoon cream tea at Crane Valley for the past 3 years. Every year they provide the same superb food and service. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff, the facilities are top notch with the 80 place function room with bar and lounge area with views over the scenic golf course down to the lake. Highly recommended.

Such a cosy place for 7 of us to stay, we booked because of the sauna and loved it! The only thing I’d say is to have bigger pans in the kitchen but we still made do.

The location is absolutely stunning, with cottages that have a distinctly Nordic charm, surrounded by tall trees that enhance the serene atmosphere. Everything about the place was fantastic – the spacious rooms, spotless cleanliness, effective heating, and the thoughtful architecture. The balconies and private saunas in each cottage were the icing on the cake. It truly felt like a holiday in a Nordic country, without actually traveling there.

Just returned from a one night and two round stay. We had an enjoyable time and the golf course was in superb condition. All three 9’s were a challenge in their own way. All staff were very helpful and the bar staff in particular kept the bar open late in the evening for us, thanks for that. Only negative was the Halfway House was shut both days and during peak times when a lot of golfers wanted a mid round snack.

Lovely golf venue with 3 9 hole courses, all 3 are a good challenge and normally in really good condition. Pro shop is well stocked and the staff are friendly. The clubhouse is large and has ample seating inside and out, good range of beers and Cider, food is also spot on. Across the road they have a large trackman equipped driving range which is great for warming up before a round.

Played today on their Christmas Golf Special, what a great deal!!! Staff are brilliant, very welcoming and helpful. Course in unbelievable condition after all the storms we have had. Thank you Dorset Golf & Country Club, look forward to returning soon.

We stayed in a lodge which was spacious and well equipped. Just a short walk to the restaurant and facilities at the clubhouse. Indoor short mat bowls,and what looked like a good golf course although we didn't use it

Had a great day out at Bulbury today. The course is tight in places and very unforgiving if you stray off the fairway. It was in excellent condition. The staff made you feel very welcome and were very friendly.

A lovely golf course, well worth the visit. This course is not the longest if courses, but is nonetheless quite challenging. Researching the layout before attending will help you. Really nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Also a well stocked little shop. A couple of driving nets to warm up, or if you want, a driving range to practice at. If the weather has been very wet, there will be standing water, although the drainage is very good, it can be overwhelmed. I will 100% play here again.

We played a Dorset past captains match versus Hampshire past captains ⛳️ The course was in excellent condition very well manicured, the greens were very fast and true. The catering was also good and all the staff were very friendly. The club captain was in our first group out and he set a high standard with his course knowledge,well played Rob ⛳️ if you are in the area I would recommend a visit for a good challenging game and the bar is just the job on a hot day sitting on the patio 🏖️ or just pop in for a bit to eat and a drink🍹

We try to play a different course each week. This was delightful to play !! Beautiful tree-lined fairways...very narrow in places...lots of par 4's and 5 in the 1st 9. Many undulations, sloping fairways, hills, and doglegs left and right gets you golf fit pushing your cart. Tricky approaches coming in to some "fast & foxy" greens. This 18 hole course has a great layout. Extremely friendly members and staff. The facilities are modern and inviting. We will definitely be back as it was only 20 min from home. What a find. ⛳😁🏌️♀️

Specifically a review on the coaching and Pro Shop. Had lessons with Bailey Birch since the beginning of this year. Couldn’t have imagined such a big change in my swing and my enjoyment of the game since having lessons with him. Lessons in particular are very good. Lots of important information and always a positive outcome with a specific working point to work on inbetween lessons. This always led to a visible solid improvement without overloading me on too many issues with my swing at once. Couldn’t recommend him enough if considering lessons whether it’s a playing lesson, range session or in the simulator.

Lovely 9 holes of golf. Easy to book via website we were advised pro shop would be shut that day and to check in at clubhouse. Warm welcome on arrival and purchased range tokens and rental trollies. Other players/members chatty and welcoming, and nice round. Uncle hadn’t played for about 10 years so nice course for him to get his swing back. Wasn’t rushed about on the course. nice course and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful round of golf at a fair price.

What a little gem of a golf course! We visited on a lovely day and I had a lesson with Charlie, who was an excellent teacher, and made me feel at ease. The course has a family atmosphere to it, not intimidating like other places. The little cafe has a beautiful setting and a nice selection of dishes. Shame you're an hour away from is, hopefully we can visit soon!

Tricky little golf course, plays 18, designed around a 9 hole. No par 5's but lots of par 4's (and long ones). T Boxes were difficult to get T pegs into the ground. Lovely and flat course. Such a pretty course to play. Very enjoyable. This was the first time in 20 years of my golfing experiences (and I have played many courses)...that I have ever seen steps into a bunker !! Luckily I didn't have to use them 🙃

Mike Dodd and all the junior coaches are fantastic. So welcoming and friendly. My son really enjoys going. They have a workbook with targets to aim for. It helps with focus and strives them to always move forward. It's a beautiful 9-hole course tucked away in Sturminster Marshall. It's definitely worth a visit for a coffee in the club house and chat with Mike.

Visited the clubhouse restaurant for a Sunday roast. Lovely friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service. The food was really good and arrived quickly to our table. Generous portion sizes and waitress looked after us throughout our meal. I would recommend booking a table in advance as it gets quite busy as very popular!! I'm definitely visiting again as I heard their full English breakfast is amazing. Highly Recommend.

We had originally planned to meet at a pub just down the Road, but it was closed . Another person in the car park recommended the golf club and we weren't disappointed. The menu was limited but sufficient. We were made very welcome by the person serving. The food was freshly prepared and jolly good, the others had a pudding which was also reported to be very good. We will be sure to visit again

Well well what can I say about Ashley wood the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow its the first time I've played here and probably the best course in Dorset that doesn't require a handicap to attend. Had a quick bite before we started pleasantly surprised booked a buggy as I knew slope index would be high and man in pro shop matched the hot deal price as it's cheaper so value for money was great. Didn't get my best score but got a few pars thanks to the tattooed golf coach Harry shaws lessons at parley and the views here at blandford were picturesque and course is well looked after and we play quick with the buggy and slower group in front let us through pretty quick which was great only wished I lived closer to the course as I'd loved to be a member here but we'll worth the 45 minute drive so we'll be visiting again very soon.

Even though the weather was against us , the wind was howling helping soak us we had a great day ! The course was in excellent condition. Some very difficult holes especially with the conditions I would definitely recommend having a round of golf here. The staff and members were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely will be back for another round soon, hopefully without the sad weather.

Pins changed once a week, bunkers raked everyday, greens mowed everyday. Can get windy on top of ridgeway with lovely views over Weymouth to the south and Dorchester and north Dorset to the north. Friendly and welcoming members and staff. Home of the Ryder cup, go and have a great game of golf
