Excellent friendly service. Nothing too much trouble. Delicious food sensibly priced. We had Pork schnitzel with a creamy freshly made mushroom sauce. Lovely. Our friends had sea bass and grilled salmon nicoise and very much enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

My husband and I ate at the Golden Fox after reading great reviews on the food, the staff and the facilities. We were not disappointed. Absolutely fantastic food. Wonderful staff and spotlessly clean facilities. The whole place had a wonderful ambiance which only enhanced the whole experience. They were also very welcoming of our dog Max.

We picked the Golden Fox after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. I felt the bar area was a little dark, but we were soon accommodated in the restaurant. Really good to see that the restaurant is a no dog zone. The menu is not extensive but with the daily specials there should be something for everyone. It's worth noting they do not have a children's menu but modify some of the menu items to make a child's portion. Our 11 year old Granddaughter made short work of the adult 8 oz steak! The food was very well cooked and presented and portions were generous. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices were good A great new find to add to our list of "must returns"

The welcome, service, food and presentation were all of the very best. We had dinner here last time and this was a lunch visit. Our friends were obliged to bring their very difficult and antisocial dog. Nothing was too much trouble with the staff. . Everything was very good indeed

The service was great and the guys are friendly and polite. The coffee was very good, the cafe is very clean and the loo is spotless, I did see the kitchen as someone came out, spotless (yes I’m nosey!) I had the Welsh rarebit I like a stronger cheese and my toast was cold, this is a personal thing, they did ask if it was ok and I said yes! Would I go back yes, would I recommend yes . Would I have Welsh rarebit again no ! The ice cream is delicious and would definitely have again.

Amazing wedding venue and I've seen a few as a photographer! I knew Cat the coordinator from a previous venue and she has bought her own sense of relaxed control with her. The team work tirelesly behind the scenes without the couple ever seeing it, as it should be. The venue itself is an amazing secluded place that you'd never knew existed. Nestled in the Dorset contryside behine a farm the views are outstanding and the house grounds are manicured perfectly. I hope to visit many times in the future.

A truly wonderful retreat, set in gorgeous countryside. The decor of the house is tasteful and calming. Lots of different spaces for people to enjoy - great kitchen, dinning room and lounge for larger groups & snug bar for hiding away in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Christina and the team were very welcoming and helpful. I Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We got married at Abbots Court in September 2023 and want to do it all over again! Cat was so helpful both the day before and on the wedding day setting everything up. We wouldn't have known where to start but she coordinated us all very well. Cat also kept our stress and nerves as low as she could on Wednesday which definitely got us through the ceremony!! The venue was absolutely stunning and the gardens were beautiful. You made it possible for us to have the relaxed and fun day we wanted. It was noted by guests that the wedding was different to any wedding they had been to before, but one of the best! It means so much to us that our friends and family had such an amazing time. Thanks to everyone at Abbots Court for everything!

We booked Abbots Court after a chance viewing and what felt like fate with our dream date becoming free the coming year. We knew the venue suited our vision of the wedding day, but it was the way that the staff saw the whole wedding weekend that filled us with the confidence to book (even with a lot of the venue still CGI drawings!) We were not disappointed when it came to our last planning meeting and seeing everything in its full glory and on the day it was perfect. The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team. Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples. We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future! We want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to answer the questions (no matter how big or small) and for all the thought and advice that went into making our day truly about us, and not just a carbon copy or a template that couldn’t be veered from. We had drinks, dinner and then stayed over in our motorhome and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was exceptional, the service was excellent and the pub and beer garden are great. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely recommend!

The pubs staff were friendly and funny, not just robots and also not too cheeky it becomes weird. The portions were the size youd give yourself at a buffet. The price was fine. And the menu had a decent selection. I had the pie and it almost had more stake than my girlfriends ribeye. Highly recommend.

We went there yesterday as a group of 15 and they were absolutely brilliant. We had the skittle alley to ourselves so the kids could play with the selection of toys in there which worked perfectly. We had a variety of meals across the table and everyone said how delicious it was. The pork belly bites as a starter were a definite stand out. Thank you to all the lovely team who served us.

A Dorset gem. I've only ever had the Sunday Carvery here because it's fantastic value (£14.50) and absolutely delicious. I always end up asking for a box so there is bubble and squeak to go home with! The staff are great and friendly. I'd say this is a proper pub and Sunday lunch experience! Booking very much recommended they are popular.

Delicious cream teas served by Jenny. The shop & tea room is on a working farm just off the main rd. Lovely views over the fields. Well worth a visit if you are near by.

Delightful little farm shop and tea room, perfect for a pit stop if you're travelling through. Friendly and helpful owners who have been going for 18 years, well stocked shop with local produce and essentials, home made cakes and good coffees.

I can honestly say my partner and I have just had the best roast dinner we’ve ever had. Being vegetarian we don’t usually bother to go out for dinner in Dorset as we’re often given bland boiled veg. The chef, Adam, and staff at the Stour Inn went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could possible want (crispy potatoes, garlic greens, cauliflower cheese, HUGE yorkshires…). Staff were so friendly and the pub has a wonderful atmosphere. We’ve already booked again for next weekend. Thank you!!

This is a treasure of a pub. The staff are really friendly and the local's are happy to chat. What marks this pub out from others is the great selection or beers and tasty wines. They also cater for those who are not drinking alchol or are driving with a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks that actually taste great. The chef here is unbelivably good. We have dined during one of his Thai evenings and the food is beyond belief. This pub is doing things right when it comes to Roasts as well. A Big sharing veg (bowl after bowl keeps coming out) along with a great selection of meats. The sharing roast is brilliant and the quality of ingredients is top notch. They also have an excellent menu on offer during the week as well, in the pictures we had the Breakfast Scotch Egg, Pig Croquettes, Steak and the Sticky Biscoffee pudding. All amazing. - Wednesday is steak night which is 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £40 which is brilliant value.

What a little gem of a pub!! Sadly no photos, but I can attest to the food being fabulous. I loved the creativity of the chef. Incredible scotch eggs, and his quirky Indian chocolate orange with a curry anglaise - whilst it sounds wrong on paper - was one of the best things I’ve had in yonks!!! Great local pub with cosmopolitan content. We loved it! 😍

I love this pub. Friendly bar staff. I have found Locals are friendly and open to chat. The chef is amazing and always happy to accommodate people's needs and tastes. I enjoy the selection of ale which changes reg ( always have London pride on tap though) so this is my favorite pub.

What a hidden gem of a place, always liked Badger beers but had the chance to do a brewery tour for my 40th Birthday and had a great time. The tour guide Carl was brilliant, learnt all about the brewery and the history of the brewery and then entered the wonderful industrial area where all the magic happens, fascinating place and great beer samples after the tour. So would I recommend this place for a good day out? Absolutely, O, and the restaurant is brilliant too serving great food and fresh beer. The only thing that was lacking was the shop, for such a unique brewery the shop seemed a little bare and lack of choice, no beer towels for instance but still not the end of the world and a great day out, highly recommended.

We had an incredible tour of the Hall & Woodhouse brewery by Trevor. He was really knowledgeable and went over and above what we expected. He answered all our questions really well and we loved hearing all the history of this family-owned brewery. The brewery wasn't running on the day we went, but we didn't mind. We still got to look around and have a tasting afterwards. We finished the tour with a visit to the Tap Room for some lunch. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and you got a discount because we had been on the tour.

Booked the Brewery Experience for £25 which was a brewery tour that came with beer tasting! Andy was amazing, he was very knowledgable of the drinks and the whole brewery process! Would recommend going on a Saturday as he's only available every Saturday! Ended up going home with some drinks we've tried during the tasting and everything was amazing! Definitely recommended if you're heading to Dorset!

Great tour led by Emily. Knowledgable and helpful. Obviously passionate about the brand and business. Loads of beer to taste at the end of the tour. Would highly recommend. We didn’t stay but a great discount if you take the tour and stay for lunch . Did make a few cheeky purchases in the shop. With the online offering I’ll probably become a loyal customer.

We just had breakfast on a rainy Saturday morning. The service was excellent, prompt and accommodating. But the food! The kings breakfast was huge, delicious and fantastic quality. Eggs royal had plenty of salmon and perfectly poached eggs. Would definitely recommend!

We stopped for some quick lunch and had jacket potato and avacado on toast. The owner/manager was great and a special thanks to him for remembering my hat!

What a fantastic evening at The Three King's last night! The food was amazing, freshly cooked to order, succulent meat, char grilled veg and a banging home made hot sauce. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming and chatted with us which made the evening all the more enjoyable. Great value for money and somewhere we will definitely return too.

Very cheap to hire out but you get an awful lot for you money. There is a good little kitchen. The bar isn't bad at all. Toilets available. There is a pretty good little sound system and even a small stage with some lights. Room is in very good condition and you can use the fold out tables which are modern and sturdy.

COVID & flu jabs. Very well organised by Milton Abbas surgery. The Hall is ideal. Well done to all the doctors and staff.

We go here once a month for our group meeting. Good menu, great food somethings on the menu can be a bit more money but worth it for the atmosphere. Parking to the side and rear of the pub.

Driving around looking for somewhere to have a spot of lunch, and we happened on this picturesque inn. Staff are welcoming and friendly. I opted for hunters chicken from the specials board, and my wife had the chicken and bacon salad. Food was served in a timely manner, was well presented, and tasted divine. Thoroughly recommended we'll definitely be back.

My wife and I booked a room for three nights , the room was spacious with office room and en suite , tea and coffee making facilities,lovely friendly and very helpful staff and food was very good ,a lot of hand made items on menu

We were there this weekend for a family birthday, absolutely fantastic welcoming staff who prior to the date provided all the info we needed. On arrival the staff were great and helpful, we had young children and a disabled guest and all needs were catered for. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced.
