I had a VW Transporter with an ignition barrel that needed replacing to allow me to start the van. Dave was top notch, great communication, turned up, debugged, sourced a used part, came back 3 days later and replaced the part in less than an hour. probably saved me a grand if I had gone to VW. Thanks Dave, hope to see you on the water sometime.

If I could give Dave 10 stars I would!!! My car key completely broke and my car was stranded at work. My key was an absolutely pain to program, and Dave worked tirelessly for hours to get my key working and engine turned on again. I can’t thank him enough for his hard work. Highly highly highly recommend!!

Outstanding service and highly recommended. We had just arrived at our campsite and I managed to break the locker key in the lock whilst unpacking. Arrived 15 minutes after calling and managed to free the lock and cut us a new key. Couldn’t be happier with the service!

Left my key with them, and, Having heard nothing for 4 days, returned to the centre, to be told that no one had looked at it yet. It was still on the desk where he had put it when I gave it to him. To be fair, he came back to me later that day, and the issues were resolved within 24 hours. Poor start, got better. Left another key with him to be fixed over the weekend. Good price. I agree that you responded quickly, and I was just as quick to edit the original review. Best Regards.

Tim is brilliant, swift to respond and very professional. He fitted a Simpled UK’ Smart lock’ for me and was kind enough to offer advice about the pros and cons of the different brands before I chose that lock. Tim was very quick to fit it , dealing with a couple of curved balls during the fitting. He even helped me set the app up on my phone and showed me the different functions. Thoroughly nice gentleman. Made me feel safe and secure.

An excellent and efficient service at a very reasonable price. Was having some issues with a couple of UPVC doors at my house. When you warn your hub that he will break a lock from using it too heavily. .Then he manages to break it pulling it and locking himself outside and these guys come to the rescue. Quick efficient service . Here in the wilderness in 25 mins with all the tools to sort it immediately.

Great service. Had issue with bifold door that broke while locked. Had one person out initially who couldn’t figure it out, but Collins and son got it open on first visit and fixed it sooner after and even improved the smoothness of the opening and closing. Fast reliable service! Would use again.

Was about to go to one of these corporates. Then Changed my mind to support local shops and tried Collins &sons Tbh these people are best at what they do. Great customer service. Great pricing. Did 2 copies of front and back door keys. Total of 4 copies. Charged me 8 pounds. Which i think is good bargain. Will visit again for my car keys ❤️

A Lifesaver! I was in a complete state of panic when I realized one of my twins had locked herself in the car with the keys inside. As luck would have it, someone from Collins & Sons showed up at the nursery, likely to pick up their own children. They immediately came to my aid and quickly and efficiently unlocked the car door. Absolutely fabulous service. Arrived quickly, which was I was so grateful for as I was stuck outside with a small dog. He sorted the lock on the door really efficiently and for a great price. Shaun was friendly, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. Brilliant! His number is now in my phone in case of any future lock emergencies.

Had to call a locksmith urgently today. An elderley lady was on the floor in her home, had been there hours and none of the emergency services were able to help ! An ambulance would be 2 or 3 hours. Rang Shaun and he came to our rescue so quickly. He helped us get into the property with great skill and expertise, he was fantastic. He fitted a new lock with a much better mechanism. I cannot recommend Shaun enough, an absolute hero. An honest tradesman with a heart.

I cannot rate Shaun high enough! He was literally on the job within 40 mins of calling him, bearing in mind 25 mins in travel time. He had me and my puppy safely back inside within minutes, with no damage to my lock! Can be completely trusted not to rip you off too, such a genuine and honest man. I would 💯 recommend!

My daughter was stuck at college with my car which had a flat battery. Our key fob had no manual key in so breakdown were called to tow her back to local garage. I was recommended to try Dan and I’m so glad I was as he managed to make a key to get in then proceeded to jump start the car. So very grateful for all his help and would definitely recommend him. The service we received from Kevin during a power outage was outstanding! Kevin had to get us back into our garage (keys in the lock on the inside of the pedestrian door - doh! - and no power to the up and over garage door). This was a really tricky and urgent job so that our electrician could access our mains supply and restore the power to our house and garage. Kevin's skill and perseverance meant that the electrician was in very quickly and we had new locks immediately with no damage to either door - superb!

Super friendly, realistic pricing. What's not to like. I needed a second key for my motorhome. Fiat wanted in excess of £300. Martin wanted £60. This is for a key with a chip embedded in it and is not something all key cutting places can do. Well Wessex can do it because it is not just a key cutting place though that is certainly on the menu. No, this is a proper locksmiths, the like of which are few and far between. If you are in this part of the world and need keys cut, door locks, safes etc etc. This is where you should head. So grateful to Martin.

I'm so glad I used this company to install locks in my new house. Sam assessed my house so he could order the correct size locks and he was very polite and informative when explaining the difference between 1, 2 and 3 star locks. I chose the 3 star locks as I wanted to make sure my insurance company couldn't refuse a claim if someone ever broke in. A few days later Lee visited and installed the locks. Lee was also amazing! He was super nice and installed the locks quickly. He even adjusted the hinges on a set of double doors that rubbed together when they closed. I could see that the locks Lee installed were much thicker and higher quality than the originals and the new keys were also a lot thicker. All of the locks work so much more smoothly than the originals. They turn very easily and there's no movement on any of the doors if you jostle the doorknobs when the doors are closed and locked. It's also so much easier to luck and unlock the new cylinders. And the adjustment of the double doors is incredible - I no longer have to lift the door to lock it :-) If I had purchased some cheap locks from a hardware shop they would have been cheaper, but they would never have worked as smoothly (or been as secure) as the '3 star' locks I purchased from Wessex Locksmiths. And these locks will last the entire time I own the house. Highly recommended.

Brilliant service. I needed a new key cut and coded for my car. Quote was a third of what the main dealer wanted and the service was second to none. I like the fact that my new key is actually better than the original. I would highly recommend this business for all your lock and security needs. Well stocked shop as well. Independent businesses like this should be supported.
