From the moment Chelsea took my phone call, I immediately relaxed. I was so worried about being ripped off, and she put me at ease and was able to fit me in the next day. However, having dropped my car off on the same day, the garage actually completed the work on the same day. I believe they were reasonable and I was really happy with the service I received.

I called Approved to ask if they’d take a look at my car re’ a knocking noise. They said I could bring it straight to them. Shortly after leaving the car I received a text to say they’d found a broken coil spring and gave a very reasonable quote to replace. I received a text when the work was done. All done in one day for a good price and with great comms. Would use again.

Have been with this garage for a number of years but they surpassed their customers service today, they helped my son get his car going this morning but also came out again when we broke down again while we were out (they did say it could happen again battery problem) and got us going again by bringing a new battery for us. I can't recommend this garage highly enough! I found myself in a bind with a faulty thermostat just before heading to work, and they came through for me. The staff (specifically Sean) was incredibly friendly and accommodating, fitting me in at the last minute later that day. They diagnosed the issue quickly and had it sorted in no time. As a woman, taking my car to a garage can sometimes feel intimidating, but MOT City is completely different. All the team ( but specifically Sean) and Kerry who I met for the first time today, is warm, welcoming, and always takes the time to explain things clearly. They do a fantastic job at the best price, and I never feel pressured into unnecessary work. It’s so refreshing to find a garage I can truly trust. Because of this, I introduced my daughter, who would never go to any garage on her own because she didn’t feel comfortable, until she experienced MOT City - now we won’t go anywhere else!

I've always used "cheap" garages. MOT City is not a cheap garage, but that's not to say overcharge either. They are courteous, professional and clear about their service. The car gets done on time and they call you throughout if anything changes. They give you an itemised invoice where you can see the labour per hour cost, which is reasonable. Use them if you are short on time, want to get something done in a reliable manner and to avoid traipsing all over Reading for cheaper garages looking to save a quick buck.

Really like going here, really friendly staff, not made to feel stupid being a woman which a lot of garages do! Fair prices and trust that the work is done properly.

I cannot recommend Field’s highly enough. They replaced a clutch on my car and did some other work last week and were friendly, knowledgeable and called me up during the day to discuss some potential things they found and gave me clear guidance and their opinion. They updated me during the day and when I collected it the next day, they had cleaned it! I felt they were good value for money and I would recommend and will use again

Really efficient, informative, friendly service. I had a weird sound coming from the front axle area of my car, which was hard to describe. They sent a technician with me on a drive to see if he could hear it. We managed to replicate the sound and they told me same day that they could fix it, which was also very reasonably priced. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Last minute issue with my wife’s car before a long trip - on a Friday afternoon - and they sorted it out within 15 minutes and saved me a huge amount of money. Additionally, I spent the 15 minutes sitting in their waiting room and I heard three separate conversations during which the staff could have ripped the customers off BUT they were excellent with them all. Offering sound advice, being open and honest and not trying to fleece anyone. Have restored my faith in mechanics - will use them for everything from now on. Brilliant brilliant brilliant.
