A good and honest independent garage are hard to find. I found KMK through RAC approved. Joseph was very helpful, informative and easy to deal with. I had my car serviced and brake pads changed and will be taking other cars to KMK for servicing.

Absolutely outstanding customer service from Joseph and Michael at KMK Walton on the Hill. They were happy to take on a 1968 Mini Cooper S with unknown and troubling transmission noise, carried out a thorough appraisal and patiently worked through a full clutch replacement, not easy on a '68 S due to having to remove the brake servo and numerous other components. Their enthusiasm for the car and the job was extraordinary - I'm now intending to be a customer for life!

I always have my car's service and MOT at Ashley MOT Service Centre and recently took her in because of a leak of some sort. A test was undertaken - the cost having been given to me beforehand - and when they rang with the result I was told what was wrong but that it wasn't necessarily a serious issue and may even fix itself. However, to fix what it was would entail a huge amount of work and cost so they suggested monitoring it and if it got worse to go back. Well it has more or less resolved itself and as my car is due for her service and MOT next month I am happy with their advice. Many garages might have insisted the work was necessary but because of the expense Ashley advised monitoring. They are always up front about costs and will advise of additional costs before carrying out any work. Ashley MOT and Service is a great place with friendly staff and I'm very happy with them. My husband also has his car looked after there and has always been happy with what they've done.

I recommend Ashley MOT to all my friends and family. Ever since the first time I took my daughter’s car there a few years ago, they were the absolute best. They are polite, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and best of all, honest! I now take my son’s car there and of course mine. I would happily recommend them hands down as your garage of choice.

I can’t recommend enough. In my 20 years of driving I’ve only had previous experiences with garages - including national chains, Ford main dealerships and local ones - that ranged from neutral to pure rip-off territory, so this time I did my research and went with the local consensus of online reviews, and I can 100% agree. K&T are very helpful, transparent, go out of their way to help you minimise costs, and really helped me out when my car’s alternator decided to throw a fit at the worst possible time. As other people have mentioned, you may have to wait just a bit to get booked in but don’t let that bother you as that’s a testament to how good and honest the service is here hence the popularity, and it’s worth the wait. A thoroughly reliable garage. Over the past several years we have taken various cars we have owned to them for any work that was needed. Best garage around! We started using Hersham Service Station last year when our car developed a fault with the engine. After 4/5 unsuccessful visits to our previous garage we decided we needed to change. Our car was spending more time in the other garage than on our drive! From the start, we felt we were in safe hands with Greg and his team. Sarah-Jane chatted through what was happening with our car and with the help of Greg, his team and the brilliant facilities at Hersham they were able to diagnose and fix our car. New parts were ordered and replaced, and our car was back on the road. Greg came to the rescue again when a friend’s dog chewed through the seat belt in the boot! Within 48 hours, the seatbelt was repaired and refitted. Thank you Greg and Sarah-Jane. Keep up the hard work… we all need a knowledgeable, trustworthy garage. Highly recommend.

First time I'd been in touch with this company but would absolutely use them again. I had a puncture and the RAC didn't have a spare wheel so I called The Garage and they sprung into action! I called at 12pm and they had picked up the tyre from the supplier, driven to me roadside and replaced my tyre within an hour. Super happy with the service (both from the office and Dan, the guy who did the work) and would certainly recommend.

Highly recommend this garage. I rang them about a flat tyre at 10.30am and they had ordered in a new one and sent someone round to change it in 2 hours, even though they were busy!

Absolutely fantastic service given by the guys at Sandy Lane/MD Racing. I got a rear puncture on my motorbike at 1730 on Walton Bridge & desperately phoned around however everywhere, including Sandy Lane, had shut at 1700. No way of getting home. By chance I found a mobile number for MD Racing & they offered to stay late so I could at least get the bike to them for it to be fixed the next day. When I arrived I was greeted with smiles & welcomes & they wheeled the bike straight in for secure storage over night. Incredibly they offered to repair the punctures (turns out there was two) there & then. I was given tea/coffee whilst I waited although there was barely time - 20 mins for the wheel to come off, repair 2 punctures & get me back on the road. One of the gentlemen even stopped to check everything was okay when he saw me pulled over on the side of the road making a phone call before heading home. Exceptional service, truly above & beyond. Very grateful for such a great experience for what could have been a really arduous evening. Thank you.

The usual garage I use wasn’t able to do an MOT for the next 2 weeks - phoned these guys at midday today as my MOT had run out and they told me to bring the car down and they’ll try their best to squeeze me in.. by 3pm I’d received a phone call saying it had passed. I've spent years searching for a decent garage, I've found a few before but they very rapidly start overcharging or lower the quality of their work. I've been going to chequers lane for a few years now, and every single time they've provided me with fast, friendly, high quality and price efficient work. They've even gone out of their way to help find alternative solutions when the repair cost has outweighed the benefits (such as creating a bracket to hold my loose exhaust connection together). I definitely recommend taking your car there if you have an issue.

I had the timing belt changed on my Mini Cooper towards the end of last year and while it was a major job the team did a good job of keeping me informed all the way as due to the age of my car there were unexpected findings! Recently the engine management light came on and I took it in. They investigated the faults, found nothing wrong and cleared them at no charge. At the same time they also noted that I had a slow puncture in the off-side front wheel. They quoted me a good price for a top end tyre and I booked the car in at short notice to have it fixed. All sorted. Great customer service, really good information along the way and reasonable pricing - everything you want from a local garage!
