Tudor Rose

Chestnut St, Sittingbourne ME9 8BT, UK | Pub

Rating: 4.4 (1005) Price Level:

I visited here for a staff Christmas meal. There was a lovely atmosphere, the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. The apple crumble was THE best I've ever tasted; I would score it 10/10 for both flavour and consistency. My salmon was succulent and cooked to perfection. The only reason why I haven't scored 5 stars is because they did not have any form of soya milk available, despite offering a vegan menu. In this day and age, that came as a complete surprise to me. There should be vegan alternative milks available for customers.

Came here tonight (19/12/24) for a meal with friends before Christmas! What a lovely evening we all had! Friendly, attentive staff; lovely food with huge portions, and such a cosy, warm atmosphere to be sat in. I have some allergies and everything was dealt with to cater for my needs. Definitely worth the 5 stars, if not more! See you after Christmas for another meal Tudor Rose!

Once again we had a lovely meal and excellent experience at the Tudor Rose. We were slightly surprised at how busy the pub became during the early evening that we were there. I'm glad that we had booked a table or we would have been disappointed. The food was excellently cooked and very well presented. We have decided to become regulars as it has given us an excellent experience everytime we have visited.

Rating: 4.2 (2024) Price Level:

We were part of a large group of 12 who had an afternoon here last Sunday. The menu had a lot of choice and the food was really good, offering great value. They also offer a 20% discount for Blue Card holders, just let the staff know before you start to order. The staff were friendly and efficient, making it a positive experience. A special mention goes to Jez for calmly processing a couple of large orders with great care.

Came for a visit from America and this was my most FAVORITE place that we ate at! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was to die for! Kelly was the best and treated us like family. 10/10 would recommend! We will be back in the country in a few weeks, and this is the first place I’m coming to!

Gotta say it was much better than I expected. Electric car charging in the car park. A very friendly greeting. We were seated very quickly. You have to order from the bar, but there is a table number on each table. Drinks reasonably priced. The starters came quickly. Nicely presented too. Mains came in good time and really well cooked. All to often pub good can be a bit samey but we found the menu interesting and the food had a good taste. Staff were attentative and went out of thier way to make sure everything was OK. It did get a bit busy so it may be worth making a reservation. Good for families and small groups.

Overall was nice, we had starters, mains and drinks. The food came out a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. The steak portion was a bit small for the price, but was tasty. The servers were friendly enough and asked how everything was. We would visit again

Lang's Bar & Cocktail Lounge

St Michael's Rd, Sittingbourne ME10 3DW, UK | Bar
P: 01795 477531

Rating: 4.2 (234) Price Level:

We booked a large group brunch and had a fantastic time at Langs. This was the 80s,90s,00s Bingo Brunch and Amy the entertainer was simply amazing. The unlimited cocktails were served fast (which is a huge plus compared to other brunches we've done in the past) compliments to the staff keeping the drinks flowing faster than we could drink them! Everyone had a fantastic time! We go out together as a group every 6 months or more and we wouldn't hesitate to book Langs again in the future. We chose the Charcuterie brunch, and if I have to find anything to improve, I'd have liked to see a bit more on offer on the plate (we had crackers, olives, cheese and salami)-perhaps sausage rolls, pork pies, more meats and salad or fruit? Overall, it was a brilliant brunch and positive feedback is well-deserved! Thank you Langs!

Great atmosphere, would definitely recommend 10/10. Can’t wait for the next one.

We were very impressed by our recent visit to The Woolpack. Although we only had a couple of drinks, we did see some of the food being brought out and it looked very appetising. Therefore, we planned to come back another time (hopefully soon) to try it. The pub inside looked good enough, but we decided to sit in the beer garden as it was a sunny afternoon. The garden was very pleasant, it was well looked after with plenty of good quality seating and tables, a really good variety of flowers and plants and it had a good relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

A nice, comfortable, chilled out place near Albany Park. It's usually pretty quiet during the day, but the evenings can get more lively with different events and entertainment in the main hall. There is nice food and drink on offer which is reasonably priced and it is also nicely decorated. You can also hire out parts of the building for your own parties and celebrations. There are also a few parking spaces available around the outside of the building and disabled access.

A huge thank you to The Barnyard and their incredible staff for the most perfect wedding day ♥️ Thank you for walking me through each step, fluffing my dress, helping me decorate the venue, creating beautiful scenes for our photos, being so incredibly attentive to our needs (even saving a plate each for me and my husband from the bbq!), keeping us informed where needed, making us a beautiful welcome sign on entry, managing our music playlist for our entrance and exits! I could really go on and on. Nothing was a bother, you reassured me, answered all of my questions and helped our day run so smoothly and perfectly. I have always wanted a Barnyard wedding, and I finally got it. Thank you all ♥️ Love from The Piggott’s x

I recently had a twilight wedding in the Apple Barn at The barnyard, it was such a beautiful venue that perfectly fit our “rustic, whimsical, cozy” vibes for our special day, we used autumnal decor and everything tied in so perfectly, the staff were welcoming and helped us make our special day come to life! Our guests still haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful the venue was and we honestly couldn’t have picked a better place! The food was also to die for! Thank you for everything, we couldn’t recommend you guys enough! - Mr & Mrs Weedon

Had breakfast here, which was pretty average. Bacon that I got served hasn't seen much heat and was really unappetizing. Cafetiere coffee was under brewed or they just didn't add enough of it. On the upside, the location is beautiful and service was good. Don't think we'll be coming back for breakfast, but might try their lunch at some point.

Wow wow wow. I can’t put into words how much you guys absolutely took my breath away. Everything was so perfect, and I genuinely could not have asked for more from you all! Belle, beautiful Belle. Nothing was ever too much. No task too big or too small. From calming my nerves to fluffing my train, Belle was there with her shining smile, reassuring me every second of the way. Belle you were nothing short of an angel on my wedding day, what a blessing you are! And Tee, bless her heart! Running back to the dressing room to get my perfume when I was seconds from walking down the aisle as I had completely forgotten to spray it! You absolute angels!!! Nothing I can do will be thanks enough for you guys, from Grace being our port of call when planning, to Kirstie and Jo answering my never-ending questions, to Belle and Tee on the day, walking me into my married life with such elegance! The catering team watching me walk down the aisle and singing to my song (I loved it) and of course providing the most beautiful wedding breakfast that got so many compliments. You all made me feel like I was in some sort of fairytale! If you’re not already the proudest people on earth, you absolutely should be because I cannot fault you at all! I feel absolutely blessed with the best 💖

First point, didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms. However, did have a great breakfast there this morning. The sausages and bacon are always very good. You get plenty of food for your money, you really can't complain! Sat in one of the converted holding cells from its previous life. Which, incidentally, I was present for during a murder hearing (sounds worse than it was, I was on work experience as a reporter!) Service is always speedy and friendly. A bit rough around the edges inside, but it's a 'spoons. You know what to expect.

Had breakfast this morning at the Golden Hope. Really impressed with the quality of food, venue and service given. When ordering on the app, turns out a mistake was made on our behalf involving the coffee and toast order. Dealing with this issue, the Team Leader was very helpful and kind, eventually realising our mistake when ordering and was able to settle the bill correctly (sorry about that 🤦😊). Will be back again soon 👍😊

What a quirky unique pub. Never thought we would be having a beer & lunch in a converted police cell. Pub is in a great location in Sittingbourne. Outside seating front & rear is plentiful. Lots of nooks with tables & chairs in. Staff were nice but overrun at times with only one girl behind the bar. Ultimate burger was really poor. Room for the night was lovely (£63.80 for a Sunday). Pillows are awfully hard. Freedom breakfast was really tasty. Good value for money. Loved the overall experience here. Number 71 for us. Won't come back as there are still 800 Spoons still to visit.
