Had a full breakfast and a French toast. Quality food not usually found in other local eateries. Excellent environment and service.

Food was amazing, atmosphere was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. We attended in a large group and the food was amazing. I never usually order steak as I am fussy with how it's cooked, but hats off to the chefs! Also, those truffle fries ...devine!

Popped in unplanned today and so glad I did. Had late lunch, the food was delicious, fresh and well presented. Not been in here for years, but will definitely come back another time for dinner one evening, the menu looks fabulous. Beautiful decor and attentive staff.

Can't recommend enough; one of the best meals that I've had. We went for the Butcher's Block evening where you can choose the meat from the butchers below. Excellent value, cooked to perfection and our waiter Jamie made the whole experience.

Really kind and helpful staff and a great, superb value for money Sunday roast. The fact you can take the dog after walking around Walker Fold is a massive plus point. Only one negative was the roast potatoes need to be improved. 3 times I have had a roast here and every time they were hard, dry and almost inedible. Everything else on the roast was perfect though and the beef and pork was to die for. Definitely worth a visit, I just hope the roasties improve :)

Great pub/restaurant with great choice of beers and lovely food. Proper cooked food, none of the usual frozen rubbish some places churn out! Pet friendly area, too, for dining or just calling in for a pint or two!

Veg pie and mash was okay. Mash was a bit bland with extra charge for gravy. Desserts were good and seemed to be freshly made. We felt a bit rushed even though we'd been given a time slot, but then moved to another table

Went for Sunday lunch but I couldn’t resist the suet pudding, chips and seasonal veg. It was amazing. Not the traditional shaped pudding, came in an oval dish and it was just the best. Loads of soft beef and rich gravy. The chips are homemade chunky chips and are fantastic and the veg was well cooked. Everything piping hot. My husband had the beef Sunday lunch and enjoyed it but I do not regret my choice. I keep thinking about that pudding!!

*Authentic Italian home cooking* Second time here. But, this was the first time dining - in. Really nice authentic pizza, very family orientated difficult to find a seat so make sure you book in a table in advance. Nicely priced and all ingredients fresh. The service was incredible staff very attentive they have a very hard working team. Could not have provided any better service. We will definitely return.

Haven't been for years so thought we'd give it a try, and so glad we did ! We both had specials for our starters Scallops and hubby had prawns. Both were beautiful and extremely tasty. I love pasta but always struggling to eat a full portion, however they did a half portion which was just enough. Hubby had a chicken dish and enjoyed it. Will definitely be going again !

This is our local Italian. Whether it is for lunch or for special occasions this is where we come for great Italian food. The takeaway menu is great as well. Try the Porcini garlic bread. You don’t need to reserve a table for lunch during the week but I would recommend it for evening and weekends.

Cocktails 2 for £14 what's not to love. ;-) Expresso martinis are very nice...

The food was delightful I had been advised by a few friends that the food was very well presented and I was not disappointed, I couldn't decide what to have so I ordered 3 different dishes and a portion of fries and dips ... salt and pepper prawns ... Moroccan spiced lamb cutlets ... sticky Thai chicken wings ... fries and dips and the chicken kiev skewer platter the portions are generous and very tasty the menu says small plates but they are certainly a good portion , we will certainly visit the Absolute bar and Bistro again

I think with the buffet breakfast you get good value for what is on offer and how much you can have. Once you've handed the slip over you can serve yourself and can make as much toast as you like. You can upgrade your meal to include unlimited tea and coffee which is always easy on hand. A pleasant experience as it wasn't too busy for a Sunday morning and had nice chilled music in the background.

Went for food with my kids 18, 14 and I'm 53, initially walking through the main front door such a charming very inviting warming clean and friendly atmosphere we had 3 drinks which are faily priced we had mains which where Farmhouse Chicken Tikka Masala/10.99 came with rice chips nan bread poppadom mango chuckney, Curried Chicken Skewer 9.79 chips curry sauce rice nan bread Fully Loaded Chicken Strips 9.49 chips sweet and sour sauce naco sauce The meal came in under 20 mins Plates where fully loaded with piping hot food and friendly staff. My daughter had the chicken tikka masala the only thing she mentioned that the chicken was a little dry and stringymy son had fully loaded chicken strips he cleared the plate so quickly and he said definitely have that again, I had the curry chicken skewers fantastic flavours crispy moist chicken and plenty of curry sauce fantastic value for money we was all full and satisfied didn't need deserts, the cakes are all shown in a inviting cabinet so is the ice cream, all in all think a return visit would be in order, their are plenty of choices on the menus and a good selection vegetarian food well done superb meal

We go regularly for the Carvery which is really good value for money with top class produce. We have been today for Christmas dinner and i can honestly say the food from start to finish was great as usual. The staff are always friendly and helpful plus the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing.

A superb festive meal with work colleagues, king prawns are delicious and for anyone who likes christmas pud you need to try the Royal Oaks it's delicious the best i have ever tasted. Well done team Donna and the team

What a wonderful welcome from Donna and all the staff for our Christmas day lunch. Matched only by the superb quality of all the food and service. Highly recommend to anyone. They also do carveries daily. Fantastic.

Food was absolutely amazing, loved every bit of it. The carvery dinner was plentiful and very fresh. Highlights for me were the turnips and the beef. Carvery server was very generous with the meat and was a friendly chap. Bar staff were a little gloomy and charged us the wrong prices based on a type-o on their menu but it was refunded. Maybe they had just had a hard day? Will definitely come back again if only for the amazing food. Cheer up guys you have a lovely establishment and great food!

We have visited Ewe twice and both times really enjoyed the food. Last night was particularly good and we couldn’t fault anything. We were really happy to see our favourite dessert sticky toffee pudding still on the menu as we had it last year and it’s honestly the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever tried. (Please do not remove this off the menu we will be very sad) The steak was cooked to perfection, cabbage and bacon was lovely and the cauliflower cheese was to die for. Staff all lovely and friendly looking forward to visit again :)

🎄CHRISTMAS DAY AT EWE🎄 I celebrated Christmas with my family at Ewe for my first ever Christmas dinner out, and it was perfect! The team welcomed us warmly, with exceptional service throughout our visit. The venue looked magical, fully decked with festive decor and a stunning Christmas tree. The food was nothing short of amazing. From the fresh prawn cocktail and perfectly prepared beetroot carpaccio to a juicy turkey dinner served with generous portions, every bite impressed. Desserts were an absolute dream, with my chocolate and cherry delice being the perfect sweet finale, creamy and rich. With Santa hats, crackers, and coffee served with homemade mince pies, the festive touches were endless. We rounded out our day sipping Prosecco by the tree after our meal, which was everything I could’ve hoped for. The food is good. We have been coming here for our special dates for over a year. After we got married we came here with our immediate family for a meal. And it was an obvious choice for our anniversary. The staff are great and it's a nice atmosphere.

Went today with my partner food was amazing, steak cooked perfectly and large potions, everything from the chips to the onion rings were home made and very fresh. The staff were amazing and the place was very clean defo going again

Called in today for the senior citizen menu and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff are great, the place is spotless and a chilled atmosphere with local history depicted on the stained glass windows. The food is homemade and very tasty, the senior menu is Monday before 6.30 pm. We had cheese and onion pie with chips and cabbage X2, cheese cake with ice cream X1, sticky toffee pudding with ice cream X1, coffee X2, 1 pint diet coke, 1 and a half pints of Guinness. .... A grand total of £22.20...Its great value!. Unfortunately I have just learned that it is closing down from September but the staff are being kept on at other venues. It's such a shame to see so many places closing and the trend continues

went here today for an early tea with my partner and it was fabulous. staff were so attentive and kind and the food was delish. i ordered the ‘Beer Food’ board for myself not realising how large it was😂 but we were truly stuffed afterwards😂 the patê starter was so yummy and the brie wedges were incredible. massive compliments to the chefs. we will be recommending and we will definitely be back!

What a great find. Turned up on spec on a Friday night with the kids in tow. Firstly, stunning period building with original features, a real cosy olden days hostelry. Stained glass windows, lots of wood everywhere. If you were given licence to imagine a cosy country inn - this is pretty close. The food, nice simple menu with a few flourishes, plenty veggie/vegan options and enough options to satisfy the little peeps. Whilst there was no menu for kids or dessert the waitress easily and patiently explained (and weren't long. At around £50 we had a decent meal for 2 adults and 2 children with drinks and puddings. And the staff - compared to those at more up market and expensive venues; patient, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. A great venue and a real hidden gem.
