Booked the Plough for my daughter’s 21st Birthday. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We had a variety of dishes cod and chips, mixed grill, steak, wellington and Jamaican Christmas Cake. The food was fantastic. Served quickly and efficiently. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas, such a warm and welcoming atmosphere all round. Would definitely highly recommend.

Good pub food, well priced. Used to go to this pub 50 years ago and it’s nearly as good again now as it was then. Took my 10 year old grandson and he was treated like an adult, which was nice! Had the rib eye steak, but we will be going back to try other things on the menu. 👍

I had a lovely meal at this hidden gem which had been recommended by friends. The portion sizes were more than adequate! Home made burger & chips. Luscious Eton mess.

The Plough hosted my small running group for Sunday lunch today. It was our first time and we were absolutely delighted. A really lovely and atmospheric pub with excellent food and great service. They could not have been more welcoming. The Chocolate Orange cheese cake was particularly good. Many thanks and will definitely be back. Lex

Barrie & Ilze were wonderful! They made our stay perfect and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend this very friendly pub.

Had a family meal between Xmas and new year, we were all very happy with our meals and the young lady that served us was very friendly and helpful. No issues with any aspect of our meal, the food was delicious, we will be going back :)

A great find today in the middle of a long car journey with the dog. We ordered the chicken supreme off the specials board and it was hands down the best meal we’ve had in a restaurant in a long while. Succulent chicken, delicious creamy sauce, crisp broccoli, and perfectly sautéed cherry tomatoes on (cooked twice?) roasted new potatoes ( I think 🤔) 😋 Worth every penny ✌🏼😎 Thanks

Thursday dinner, one chef was off ill so they had reduced the menu, however they had not reduced the welcome or the service. The staff are very welcoming, happy and helpful. Food was well priced and excellent. Wine was also a good price and excellent. We booked again for tomorrow night.

Great pub experience. Fabulous meal. Everything was excellent and tasted just perfect. Very friendly staff who looked after us with professionalism.

Dined solo here and was given a nice cosy spot in the corner of the dining area, It felt comfortable and appropriate, especially as I was dining alone. Whilst the food tasted superb, the speed at which the food took was considerable. I saw larger parties be seated and order much later than me to be served before me. This was disappointing. Like previously said the food tasted great, and the staff did try to remedy the wait times without need for prompting by offering a coffee I ordered as free of charge. A good experience all in all and I will likely return, I just hope service can be quicker next time.

This place is located at the top of Gold Hill with beautiful views over the valley. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the benches outside to soak in the beautiful views. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The menu had plenty of of options and the food was really tasty. If you’re a tourist looking for the feel of England, then definitely come here!

My wife and I, Visited Shaftesbury on Saturday. To do some shopping and check out Gold Hill (Featured in the Hovis advert from the 70's) when we got to the top of Gold Hill we came apon this lovely restaurant. All the staff were lovely. So lovely my wife and I cried. Xx. We have had a lot going on recently. Jo was very kind. The food was amazing. We went for the tuna ciabatta. Lovely.. And then there's the view. Amazing.. Todber Manor has now opened a most welcoming Restaurant. Lovely place, delicious food. Friendly staff. A great bonus for dog walkers, it's dog friendly! Excellent addition. Everyone made to feel very welcome at venue. Highly recommend a visit.

Went to the Lakeside Kitchen. They had only been open a couple of weeks and had breakfast, which was lovely. They have a bar and skittles alley, a lovely menu with plenty of choice and open all day, the place is very nice too, the staff were also very friendly will certainly go back again. Went and had an evening playing Skittles, which was a lovely night.

Great venue, great staff, great fishing. John helped me out yesterday...so thanks for that. I am new to fishing and caught the biggest carp I have ever caught plus numerous others of a good size. Well stocked lakes that are well maintained. Well done 👍

Beyond excellent. Lunch menu superb. Delicious, beautifully presented, and the best value for money possible. We are always looking for good places to eat and felt this time we had hit the jackpot. Will visit again very soon.

Excellent lunch with different options and not your usual choices either. They do a set menu with 2 or 3 courses as an option. I chose off the normal menu and had aubergine stuffed with a side of fries very good portion and very flavoursome. The other person did the same and had a fishcake, which was much enjoyed. We shared a pudding of poached figs, which again was delicious. Would recommend it and I will return

We visited today, Sunday without a booking and were grateful to be seated next to the window in the main bar. The Sunday lunches were excellent; we had two.meals, beef and pork. The choice and portions of veg were excellent and the meats on both of our plates were succulent and tender. The front of house team was kept busy but were polite, attentive and efficient throughout. A most enjoyable visit, we will return in due course. We did return and we were delighted that our first visit wasn't a "one-off". The food and service were again excellent, we highly recommend the Coppleridge Inn.

We had a wonderful day for our wedding and reception in September 2023. The venue, marquee, staff, food and service were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us. So many of our guests have commented on the lovely location and marvellous food. Thank you all for such a special day with a loud shout out for Michael who was brilliant!! We would not hesitate to recommend heart ♥️

We had a family Sunday roast here the weekend before last. The staff were perfect! Attentive but not too much, the food was lovely by far the best roast we have had put in a long time and we eat out most Sundays.

We sat outside in the garden on Sunday.I ate the Tavern stack which was all home made ,absolutely Delicious. My wife had Home made Vegetable Lasagne which was also Terrific .For pudding I had a piece of Tiffen with cream which was also to die for.All of which was expertly cooked and reasonably priced.The Service is incredible at all times even though they were short staffed at the time. We had no long waiting time as I expected because of the short staff problem.The Bull Tavern is a Family Run pub and other larger concerns could learn a lot from them.Welk Done Bull Tavern .The very next day we tried 1 of their charcuterie boards ,very very good.Also fantastic value for money

An adorable pub in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside. Lovely host, fabulous food, great local beer.

This is a classic country pub. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. As a Hall and Woodhouse owned pub, the real ales are great and served in good condition. The staff are just wonderful and make the visit that all more special. The venue is cosy in the winter with numerous fire places to keep you warm.

Delighted that this establishment has re opened. Visited today for lunch. Their pies are advertised as award winning and I can see why. First class food and very friendly and efficient service.

Came for a Sunday roast and it was amazing! Food beautifully prepared and the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Will be returning and look forward to trying the nut roast next time 😊
