We found this little gem on our way home. Arrived at 7:30 ish and we phoned ahead to make sure food was still on the menu. We only had a few of the side orders but they were cooked to perfection and good portion sizes. The staff are friendly and happy to help, top notch customer service (It’s refreshing to get good customer service in the age we live in but The Crown Inn have is mastered). Great selection of Beers, Ales, Spirits, Wine. We will be back to try out more of the food and possibly the rooms in the near future as well. Will update when we have experiences more of this little gem.

Went to The Crown for a Father’s Day dinner with my daughter and her family. I had the mixed carvery of pork n turkey with roast potatoes and most of the veggies that were available I also had the mini delicious sausages which were very tasty, a must to try if you make a visit here and if they are on the menu! It was very busy due to the day but I felt that as we didn’t sit down down for the meal until 3:00pm it seemed that some of items had run out especially on the dessert menu with only, I think ‘sticky toffee pudding’ left. Other than that it was a good reasonably priced and tasty meal and well worth a visit, just get an earlier time to sit for your meal to try and ensure you get the offer of all available options you can have there! Will defiantly go back some other time to try some of the other menu options! Cannot comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay there.

Came for food. Based in an easy to locate place with good parking. The food was fantastic. Prices are in line with similar venues but the food was so nice. Got the Arnold burger and fries and was very happy. Exactly what I was craving. Classic country pub. Bring your close friends and let the experience cater to you. Had a great time.

Went here for lunch, absolutely lovely food and service, my husband had the fish and chips, he said the batter was the best he’d ever had!! I had the homemade steak and ale pie, wow, the meat was so tender, and the gravy so delicious! Definitely going here again! The young lady that served us, was delightful! Can’t wait to try the Sunday carvery!!

We booked Milton Manor for our wedding reception in July 2022. We couldn’t have asked for a better house and accommodation. We had a large marquee in the garden which worked really well. The owners were very accommodating with letting us visit to plan and map out the marquee before our stay. We filled the rooms with wedding guests and family members. A wonderful house with wonderful gardens.

Beautiful house and grounds with plenty of activities provided to keep you entertained like pool, darts, table tennis to name a few, there's a hot tub also available which I'm assured was very hot...... loads of rooms to spread out in should you be in need of some quiet time, the only couple of downsides I could see were our shower seemed to take forever before running hot (warm) enough to get under.... and even with the two separate wi-fi routers provided in the property coverage is sketchy to say the least, I imagine the thick walls of this old manor house are a major factor. That said for mass gatherings you should certainly check this place out....

We visited today, Sunday without a booking and were grateful to be seated next to the window in the main bar. The Sunday lunches were excellent; we had two.meals, beef and pork. The choice and portions of veg were excellent and the meats on both of our plates were succulent and tender. The front of house team was kept busy but were polite, attentive and efficient throughout. A most enjoyable visit, we will return in due course. We did return and we were delighted that our first visit wasn't a "one-off". The food and service were again excellent, we highly recommend the Coppleridge Inn.

We had a family Sunday roast here the weekend before last. The staff were perfect! Attentive but not too much, the food was lovely by far the best roast we have had put in a long time and we eat out most Sundays.

Went in for food at the bar, and we really enjoyed it!!! The food was simple but delicious and we will 100% be going back. The waitress was also very knowledgeable with information regarding what could be eaten by a celiac in our group. It also had an amazing country pub feel that felt so welcoming and cozy x ❤️

Our first time visit to Shaftesbury and the Grosvenor Arms hotel. Very impressed with both – for the same reasons …... relaxed, welcoming and informal. In the hotel specifically it seemed that the staff were always wanting to “go the extra mile” to make sure we felt at home. The furnishings – and the bedrooms – are all comfortable, well chosen and empathetic to the age of the building. The only meals we had were breakfasts – and these were excellent. Our one concern before arrival – its location right in the centre of a potentially-noisy town – was completely unnecessary. We had a room overlooking the street and it was sufficiently quiet for us to have the window open at night. So, thank you Grosvenor Arms – and Shaftesbury! A great visit.

Had a lovely 1 night stay recently. I stayed on a Monday during the restaurant closing times and as expected was very peaceful. The lady on reception was fantastic and very helpful. The continental breakfast was huge and well worth the extra. Ideal location, very short walk to the beach front.

Had a lovely lunch today. Great food, clean and pretty restaurant. The staff were all excellent but I would particularly like to mention Megan who was friendly, efficient and incredibly polite. She is an asset to your team. This was my first visit to your establishment but it won’t be my last. Thank you

Recently attended a 'tribute' evening here. The atmosphere is amazing. Everyone had a really great time. Staff were busy but there were plenty of staff on shift and very friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and came out hot and looked very appetising. We shared a cheeseboard for pudding and enjoyed some spirits. We were offered coffee and drinks orders were taken regularly. Had such a great evening we rebooked for the next 'event' evening. We come regularly and eat off both menu choices and always have had great service and delicious food. The staff are all friendly and polite and work hard to make sure you have everything you need. Thank you

Set in its own grounds, very pretty building. Is a little old fashioned, but is very quaint. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is everything you could hope for, cereal, fruit, yogurt and then a cooked breakfast with roles or coffee.
