I wrote Rebecca a personal testimonial to thank her for her help with our wedding, yet I have not expressed my thanks to her in public. A year after our wedding, we received a very thoughtful gift from Rebecca to wish us a happy Anniversary. This is such a previous personal bond that we have formed from the event of my wedding. I cherish this relationship with Rebecca and now want to praise her, for all the happy memories she helped to create on our wedding day are still so vividly in my mind. We reached out to Rebecca based on a recommendation from 10-11 Carlton House Terrace, as we planned our wedding at the British Academy. Initially, we thought we could handle the planning ourselves with some occasional help, but looking back, we are incredibly grateful that Rebecca took the helm. Having her lead our wedding planning was the best decision we made. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Rebecca is a true professional who treats her work with respect and dedication. She insisted on being with us from the start of our journey, ensuring that every detail was carefully considered. Even when we felt overwhelmed because of the complexity of the logistics, Rebecca remained so patient and supportive. We felt encouraged. On the day of our wedding, Rebecca's presence gave us complete peace of mind. She orchestrated everything flawlessly, ensuring that every aspect of the day was perfect. From organizing the setup to guiding our guests, she made sure everything ran smoothly. The transformation of the venue was magical, and she brought our romantic vision to life. This lady did not rest any minute as she had to make sure every stage follows the next, collecting wandering guests and making sure her bride and groom are all looked after. Even when the midnight has come and the feast has ended, Rebecca was the last one to leave the venue. She was busy packing all our gifts and even leaving us with a personal, heartwarming gift. Rebecca made our dream wedding come true. We think of the day and feel this life is worth living. Our beautiful big day was only possible with Rebecca's dedicated work that lasted days and nights, weeks and months. Rebecca demonstrated professionalism, resourcefulness, and endearing personality made her not just an incredible wedding planner, but a truly wonderful person to work with. We cannot recommend Rebecca highly enough. She made our wedding day the most special and unforgettable day of our lives. Rebecca is one of the hardest working, most passionate people within the wedding industry and everything is always seamless and easy with her on board. From a venue perspective, Rebecca’s extensive knowledge of working in similar historic and unique venues (both as a supplier and in-house) is invaluable and gives us complete reassurance that all venue hire rules will be followed and the conservation of the building will never be jeopardised. Nice spot to visit some local history. It is somewhat more engaging compared to some other places of this type as you can interact with a lot of the artifacts that are kept there. There are some interesting rooms to explore and are accessible too. Not open on many days in the week, just twice in fact, but they do seem to hold regular events. I still would’ve liked to read more about the Valentines’ impact on a more national and global level and the impact on both the local and global community.

This lovely hidden gem is worth a visit. The Mansion House is open Sundays and Mondays. Each room reflects the time period of one of the owners and the area where kitchen staff worked recreates the time and how a mansion house would have been run perfectly. Valentines Park is lovely with interesting formal gardens, a haw haw and an unusual bridge with a seat c 18th century. Visiting in May, my granddaughter and I were delighted to see cygnets. The cafe is reasonably priced and good quality. We had a lovely afternoon out!

Choosing Valentine's Mansion as the venue for our wedding turned out to be a splendid decision. The historic charm of the building added a timeless elegance to our special day. The registrars who conducted the ceremony were not only professional but also remarkably friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for us and our guests. The combination of the beautiful venue and the amiable registrars made our wedding a truly memorable and magical experience.

Joined a small group of people for a guided tour of the garden, led by Simon. He was interesting and informative and very passionate about the gardens. If you are able to join a garden tour at a later date, please do so.
