Chantry Vets, Brindley Way Veterinary Hospital

Chantry Vets have been exceptional both with us and our dog from the minute I made my enquiry with them. We met with Lisa who performed a TPLO on our golden retriever. Our consultation was so informative, and I left feeling much less anxious than when I walked in. Leaving our dog with them overnight was not an issue as I knew she was receiving the best care. Every member of staff I’ve spoken to has been lovely and happy to help (especially Storm!), even post procedure if I’ve had any questions or concerns. I cannot recommend them enough.

We've got quite a few pets, and over time we needed to take some of our cats and dogs to get checked up or due to any other reasons. Each time the staff was helpful, professional and kind. We never needed to keep coming back what was administered was always good. If You are looking for a place where if need be your pet will get good care, this is the one!

Chantry Vets, Brindley way is a lovely, caring and friendly veterinary hospital. It is scrupulously clean and very well maintained. The staff are really kind and understanding and they are so lovely with my little Jasper. The care received is second to none, they are so helpful and take the time to explain procedures or after care. I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

My dog was so unwell that she was shivering/physically shaking, she had diarrhea, she was whining, and clearly very uncomfortable. The veterinarian very kindly interrupted her lunch break to see my dog more immediately on a Sunday when I rushed her to the hospital. She had high sodium levels, her gut was inflamed and full of gas, she was nauseous, not eating properly and dehydrated. The anti sickness injection, new probiotic, and diet plan have done wonders for her and she’s now out and about again - no whining on the bus because she isn’t nauseous anymore/getting any travel sickness because her gut health is generally better (no more diarrhea or sickness), and she is more focused and has more energy for games and agility. Please avoid communal water bowls folks, as gastroenteritis is going around. Thank you Chantry Vets! ❤️

Our pets are new to vets4pets and right from the initial telephone call to make appointments for vaccinations and spaying the staff were amazing. Julie with the dark hair and the young lady with dark hair and glasses are so professional, friendly and polite. The nursing staff are polite, friendly and very informative. All staff very supportive. My daughter is autistic and I asked staff to reassure her about the spaying operations that her kittens were having. They were very reassuring as they could see my daughter was visibly upset. Very happy with their services. This is the only vets in the area that offer the kitten pack too, which saves ££££, includes vaccinations, health check, microchip, 3 months of flea and worm treatment.

Nice female vetinary surgeon. Clean and calm waiting area. Lovely reception staff. Pain killers are majorly expensive since vets are no longer allowed to prescriptions cheaper human drugs.

Looked after our cat incredibly well during and after an operation. The staff genuinely feel as though they care about animals and are not just profiteering. Treatment is still expensive but we were looked after with care and consideration.

Used this vets for years having dogs . Now having lost my last dogs due to old age, now have a cat 17 years old and becoming concerning. The lady vet we saw was absolutely spot on . Listened and discussed the problem which was heartwarming. The lady in question was called iris and was one of the best we have ever seen. Could have gone down the road of blood tests and xrays but at 17 years old is too much. Cats have 9 lives, maybe he's on his ninth.

A very friendly and helpful vets. They took us on when our vet in Dewsbury said they didn’t have enough vets to help us. We rang every vet in the Wakefield area to get Milly her booster and her nails cut under sedation (she won’t let anyone near her paws) and they were all full. Yorkshire Vets said they could help. Really happy with them.

From start to finish the visit to the vets was top notch. The reception staff were lovely and friendly and happy to make conversation, which often seems to ba a skill that many lack these days. The vet was also very friendly took her time to listen to our concerns . She was very gentle with our cat and involved the nurse to administer the medication, taking time to explain to her abouy our cats issues. If you want a professional business, that clearly puts customer satisfaction very high on their list, I would definitely recommend using this vets.

I love this vet practise - i’ve had some negative experiences elsewhere, but Churchfield are always spot on. We have multiple pets and they are all treated with the same kindness and enthusiasm, no matter which member of staff we see. The communication is excellent and the practise just has a really good energy!

Churchfield vets are one of the longer operating and trusting vets in Barnsley. The veterinary nurses are always thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. The prices aren't the cheapest, but they have different pet plans that can be beneficial. Tip! If parking outside the vets, nip in and ask for a temporary parking permit from the reception to save having to pay at the ticket machine. The traffic wardens patrol the area, too.

These vets are absolutely the best . They have looked after my dogs for 40 years . Recently my puppy was ill and Sue the vet quickly diagnosed a heart murmer , she quickly got a cardiologist to check him over. The cardiologist sue Roberts diagnosed a heart murmer and reassured me it was mild sue roberts and suethe vet are the nicest vets you could wish to meet . My 11 dogs have all been cared for so much . My other two boxer dogs had a life expectancy of 2 years , they lived until 12 under the care of Alistair brown sue and all the other vets nurses and receptionists. A great big thank you from us and the old and new boxers

Thank you to the entire team here. My cat Orla was very very sick and the vets here did everything for us and looked after her so wonderfully. Thank you especially to Kasia who really looked after Orla and treat her with such dignity. Sadly, she deteriorated significantly and we had to put her to sleep on Tuesday. The vets in at the time were absolutely amazing. They looked after me and my family and were incredibly supportive. They let me spend time with her and didn’t rush me at all as I was completely inconsolable. I cannot thank you all enough. You’ve made this whole horrible process that little bit easier for me and my family.

I visited Chantry vets yesterday for a routine appointment for my Dog, it was a lovely experience, the lady on reception was very welcoming and gave my dog lots of fuss and attention which he appreciated, she was very knowledgable and was able to answer all of my queries and offer advice. I was the last appointment of the day, I wasn’t rushed at all, the vet was really good, spent time to make my dog feel at ease before performing his health check and annual booster (he didn’t want to leave and appreciated the good boy treats!). To say it was the end of day, it was extremely clean. Great vets, I would highly recommend them

We brought a lost/stray cat to this vet clinic, and the experience was outstanding. The nurse Zalatia at the reception was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely helpful, going above and beyond to explore all possible ways to support both the cat and us. The difference in care and dedication here compared to other clinics, like Vets4Pets, is truly noticeable. Highly recommend!
