I have 2 very difficult cats and a small baby. The staff could not be more helpful. They handle my insurance claims for me and can always be guaranteed to have a smile for us... even as they reach for the plasters lol! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my cats care and can't recommend them highly enough.

So glad we signed up to Abbey House when shopping around for vets for our two kittens. The staff are always warm and welcoming and we've never had trouble getting appointments. The Pet Health for Life Plan is also a fantastic bonus. Highly recommend to all pet parents in Batley!

Had my dogs registered here for over 2 years now, and i have to say i not disappointed at all so far. Both my American xl bullies and my french bulldog are in the pet health club, so all the fleaing and wormimg medication is included. Recently, I had my xl bullies neutered and spayed. The procedures were done with precision and minimal scarring, and they both received 25% off the total amounts due to the pet health club. The majority of staff are lovely and took a shine to my babies straight away. They received 5* service hands down,i only wish it was closer to me, lol.

After waking up to find my 23 year old African Grey very weak and in respiratory distress I rang round trying to find an emergency avian vet appointment. After being advised he needed to go into hospital we made the trip to Holly House. Everybody was amazing, explaining everything, keeping us informed about his progress and the cost at all times. I was happy he was in good hands. He made a rapid recovery and I would like to thank everyone for taking care of him.

My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

We had to take our cat, Nectar, to Holly House out of hours, and the care we received was exceptional. The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. They explained everything clearly and treated Nectar with such kindness and respect. It’s reassuring to know that such great care is available when you need it most. We’ve been with Abbey House Halton (and its previous incarnation Calder Vets) for 5+ years and they’ve always provided amazing care for our two dogs and two cats. One of our dogs is very difficult to handle, and they’re always very supportive and helpful in treating him.

The service at Horsforth vets is always exceptional. It’s clear that their highly skilled and personable team are true animal lovers. We continue to go here even after moving from the area.

I required an emergency appointment for my gorgeous but very poorly cat. They were the only emergency vets around when we needed one. My boy had to be put down but I was so impressed by the staff's kindness, efficiency, communication and knowledge and understanding that I have now registered my two new furbabies with them and taken the pet care plan. Thank you so much to vets Jenny and Emma for giving my boy such good quality care. You were there when he needed you and all your staff were there for me too. Excellent, bright clean, well equipped facility. I definitely recomend.

Very kind. Everyone was very polite. The staff answered my every question. And when it came to putting my pet to sleep they were very considerate and sympathetic I new she was given the best care up to the end and after.

Popped in a spoke to them about our Nervous and Reactive Mali. He'd had a very bad experience at another vets while quite young which makes regular boosters etc difficult. Got to say that the vet and vet nursing staff were fantastic with him. Spending time to put him at ease. Even treating him in an open area rather than the confines of a consultation room. Very positive experience for both him and us.

Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my cat’s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

Can’t recommend enough, the vets/nurses and reception staff genuinely care about your pet and you. My pup needed emergency wound care and she was loved like she was their own. It made the whole experience so much less stressful and we could leave her in very safe hands. You are all amazing, thank you x

We lost our little staffy 'Stella' in August. Even though it was busy, the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I personally want to thank the vet who looked after Stella and the family that day. Truly passionate about her work, cared for us (the owners), and a true support through one of the worst days of my life. Thank you all. We will forever be greatfull 👍

We have our precious girl Bella at Swifts, where she is being treated for cancer. The vet, Bethan, all the nurses and the front of house staff are just amazing. We know how this jounery will eventually end with Bella but the care and treatment that Bella is receiving to prolong her life is just incredible. The loving care for Bella and us as a family is the best anyone could ever wish for. Such an incredible team. ❤️

Mine is a sad story that I couldn’t give a review on immediately - my previous dog got ill suddenly on NYE 2023 - Swift are the linked emergency vet to mine in Thirsk. Obviously I didn’t know what was wrong but I took her straight down and the team there were fantastic. They were compassionate and knowledgeable and most importantly looked after my dog as much as they could - made her comfortable and did all the testing that was suitable. Sadly we had to make the decision later that day when we went to see her that she couldn’t go on. It was heart breaking and I am still cut up about it now. However the vet was really kind and sympathetic to us, giving us as much time as we needed and explained the whole process. As hard as it was, it was the right thing for Daisy. Since then I have a new puppy and actually work very close to Swift - I had been avoiding the road it was on due to the memories, but recently popped in on a lunch time dog walk to thank the staff as I didn’t at the time. They really did take care of everything - from the insurance paperwork to contacting me when Daisy was ready to be collected. The staff there were brilliant - each one was kind and compassionate and that is all you can ask when you are going through a traumatizing experience. Thanks again! Sean

Everything about this place is brilliant they was amazing with my dog Seth he went in for a MRI and a few other things, we were so nervous about leaving him, the ladies at the front were all so nice kept us informed with everything going on, and Bethan was amazing with Seth and made us feel at ease told us everything and listened to all our concerns.
