The best vets all the family has had the pleasure of using. The prices are very reasonable, ample parking at the side/rear of the surgery. Appointments can be booked in advance and also given same day or within a day or two upon phoning. We have over the years had to use the out of hours service for the dogs and we are always impressed with the high quality of service provided. We are always kept informed if any of the animals have to stop overnight or have been in for day surgery. We would not take our animals anywhere other than cross green vets !

I'd just had a bad experience with another vet practice (not in Otley). I was nervous about trying another after moving, but I couldn't have felt more reassured. The staff were so lovely! I wasn't rushed, the vet went out of their way to make my cat feel comfortable, and gave me lots of great advice. So grateful to have such caring, professional and reasonably priced vet practice nearby who truly put animals before all else. Can't recommend them enough.

I absolutely love this vet. It's independent and works with the owner to care for their ill animal. It's not just about money. The vets are very nice and the receptionist always books me in very quickly. She also deals with me freaking out over email quite a few times (sorry but thank you). I really love this little vet practice. It's how all vets should be run.

I couldn't ask for a better , more thorough vet than Emily Legate. The surgery is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced which is an added bonus but ultimately I use this veterinary surgery because I had a years worth of unsolved issues with my prescious boys ear, in one visit we had swabs taken then discovered he had a deformed ear canal in the offending ear , then he was booked in swiftly for an ear flush under anesthetic, Emily filmed the ear canal and debris in it ,for me to better understand the situation with his ear. I can't praise these guys enough and they have my recommendation to any one who wants caring, thorough up to date and highly trained veterinary care . It's a big thumbs up from me and Roman dog. I wish I could put 10 stars !!

Emma & the team have done 2 dentals for my cats Dec & Navy at a fraction of the price my usual vets wanted to charge. Their care has been exceptional. When I had concerns about Navy afterwards Emma phoned me & through chatting to her I realised he just needed longer to get used to not having his canines & also took longer to get over the anaesthetic. I wish i could give more than 5 stars! Absolutely Amazing couldn't recommend these vets enough. I was very anxious taking rocco for neutering and these guys made it a doddle. So lovely and helpful start to finish and his little operation cut is tiny and will be barely noticeable when healed. Wonderful staff in a lovely vets! Thank you guys again!

I called Home Comforts out, as sadly we had to put our elderly dog to sleep, and we wanted her to be at home, Emma at Home Comforts were recommend to us by our regular vet. They were helpful, kind and understanding from the start. Emma came out to and was wonderful so kind and gentle to our old girl. We were happy that she could pass peacefully at home. I would highly recommend Home Comforts, as I know friends and family would too.

The ladies at Home Comforts vets were wonderful with our cat when he had four teeth extracted. You can tell they really cared, they were professional, friendly and the procedure was very reasonably priced. Will definitely book with them again (although hopefully not too soon!).

I've been taking my cat Bertie since August 2022 as a tiny kitten. He's been there on and off every month for one thing and another since that time, this last 8 months have been hard as he was diagnosed with hip displacia, especially this last week! I have got to know this wonderful vets over the last few months as the charity I foster cats with use them. I absolutely cannot fault them, whether an injection, check over, microchip or major operation every single member of staff is polite and friendly. They clearly care a lot about animals and treat each pet with compassion and love. No question or query is ever too much trouble for them and they have helped put my mind at rest as a new cat fosterer. When my plan ends with the vet I use for my own cats comes to an end later in the year, I want to move them to LVC as I know they will be in excellent hands.

"I take my dog, Taffy, to Beechwood Vets in Headingley for her annual vaccinations and health checks. The staff are always incredibly thorough, carefully checking everything and explaining any health concerns clearly. When Taffy needed surgery, they gave us an appointment straight away. Today, she had her surgery, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The reception staff and the entire team were so kind, helpful, and understanding. A particularly lovely lady at reception was so compassionate when I was worried and crying—she took the time to calm me down and reassure me, which meant so much. Their calm and caring attitude made Taffy feel at ease too. The surgery went smoothly, and I’m so grateful for the excellent care they provided. Brought my 2 kittens in on Thursday for neutering and spaying and I cannot praise the staff enough. I’ve been coming to the Headingley Beechwood Vets since it opened with my cat and they are brilliant with her. She’s usually nervous at the vets but the staff all set her at ease, let her adjust and she gives her blood sample with no bother now. Highly recommend this vets!

Lovely Veterinary team. My English is not good, but they always repeat and slow down their speech very patiently, which makes me feel very warm and relaxed， The email communication is very clear, and the charges are transparent and reasonable. After I adopted the cat, I checked all the practices I can find in Leeds. In terms of transportation, price and service, it was the best choice for me. Highly recommend this practice.

The vets was immaculate and you were greeted by a lovely fresh smell when entering. Alison on reception couldn't have been more helpful and clearly explained the pet plan we were taking out. She was very knowledgeable and put our minds at rest with our first fur baby. They were all brilliant and made sure our puppy was healthy. You didn't feel rushed and the customer service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend.

Been dealing with Oakwood Veterinary since 2001, never been disappointed. Dr. Kothari is very professional and very straightforward. He did a major surgery on my Husky in 2016 with which I was very satisfied. Very kind and very reasonably priced. Our beautiful Puka has been spayed in Oakwood veterinary surgery. I think it was the best decision we made to bring her exactly to this vet clinic and we was travelling from ls12 area because clinic was recommended to me. We always have a wonderful experience when visiting the vet and we have to come once a month for our cat's injections. You can tell that the vet really cares about animals and the well being of them. He is highly knowledgeable and only prescribes what is really necessary. I wouldn't go to any other vet after bringing our cat to him.

Vets appointments can be traumatic for pets and owners but the staff always make sure everyone is comfortable. When we lost our cat they have offered as much compassion and help as they could. They truly cared for him when he was still alive and when we had to say good bye they were so professional and delicate. All the staff are always very helpful and polite. We’ve never had a problem with accommodating appointments even in emergency situation. Highly recommended vet!

Could not rate more highly. My elderly cat was seen straight away - the receptionist was very compassionate to my obvious distress, and the vet was calm and experienced and able to treat him and clearly explain how to care for him with his medication. He is now starting to get better and I am delighted. Even if there hadn't been such a happy outcome, I feel confident they would have dealt with everything in a gentle manner and done all they could for us. Fabulous vetinary surgery!

Popped in a spoke to them about our Nervous and Reactive Mali. He'd had a very bad experience at another vets while quite young which makes regular boosters etc difficult. Got to say that the vet and vet nursing staff were fantastic with him. Spending time to put him at ease. Even treating him in an open area rather than the confines of a consultation room. Very positive experience for both him and us.

Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my cat’s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

We lost our little staffy 'Stella' in August. Even though it was busy, the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I personally want to thank the vet who looked after Stella and the family that day. Can’t recommend enough, the vets/nurses and reception staff genuinely care about your pet and you. My pup needed emergency wound care and she was loved like she was their own. My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

We had to take our cat, Nectar, to Holly House out of hours, and the care we received was exceptional. The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. After waking up to find my 23 year old African Grey very weak and in respiratory distress I rang round trying to find an emergency avian vet appointment. After being advised he needed to go into hospital we made the trip to Holly House. Everybody was amazing, explaining everything, keeping us informed about his progress and the cost at all times. I was happy he was in good hands. He made a rapid recovery and I would like to thank everyone for taking care of him.
