Quality of workmanship is second to none and attention to detail excellent. I had two bay windows and a bedroom window bespoke made to fit a 100 year old house including original stained glass panels. Stuart and Alan did a splendid, albeit complicated, job fitting and couldn't have been more helpful. Many thanks all round.

We couldn't recommend Billy more! He recently fitted our kitchen and did an incredible job. He was very attentive and thorough, he checked with us every step of the way and was happy to help out with other odd jobs that came up. He also recommended and orchestrated all other work we needed doing (electrics, plumbing and plastering) and worked to resolve any hiccup that came up, meaning we had very little to look after and worry about. On top of this, Billy has been popping in when needed to finish jobs after other work has been completed to make sure everything is to the highest standard and has been lovely to be around. Thank you so much for the hard work!

Ben built us a large bespoke utility cupboard with an adjoining dresser unit, made to match the style and colour of our existing kitchen units. He discussed our requirements, made suggestions, produced diagrams and worked around our builders. We have been very impressed with the quality of work. The soft-close drawers and shelves take a substantial weight of china and bottles! I would definitely recommend Ben and hope to use him again for other projects in the future.

Chris fitted a new wardrobe with drawers into the room, replacing an old in built wardrobe. I asked for wardrobes that were flush to the existent wall and a minimalist look and the result is exactly what I invisioned. The measurements are perfect and the wardrobes blend in with the wall from the side view. The doors and drawers are fitted with magnetic push to open locks that give a smooth finish. Chris gave excellent communication and kept to schedule, as planned. I would recommed to anyone wanting a custom design and skilled craftmen ship.

Amazing work on our full wall fitted shelves from start to finish, Adam helped us with design and did all the hard work on this great build and installation. We're so happy with the results. I wanted to replace my modern UPVC door with one more in keeping with my house. Adam helped me find an original door in the right size, then cut it to fit, sorted out locks and door furniture, made a frame and installed it for me. It's perfect and I couldn't be more thrilled. He's a joy to have around.

The course was excellent. Very informative and with a primarily practical, hands-on approach. Nick gave us all lots of useful tips on techniques ans tools and was able to follow each of us 6 students carefully. The stepwise approach allowed us to complete the dovetail and mortice and Tenon joints to a good standard without major complications. I really enjoyed the course and I hope to be able to join other courses run by Nick in the not too distant future. In the meantime I will practise, practise and practise some more. Definitely money well spent and I highly recommend this beginner's weekend course. Thanks again Nick.

As a relative novice in the world of fine woodwork (some woodwork lessons at school in the early 70’s) this was a great experience. Nick is experienced, personable and able to walk you through the essentials of getting started as a woodworker. He has a really good pace and allows you to develop your skill in the basics - including how to sharpen tools, which is an absolutely vital part of working with wood. He is able to work at a range of levels simultaneously, so everyone in the group gets a good deal out of attending. You will leave the course with everything that you need to go forward. Highly recommended.

Fantastic 2-day introduction to hand tool woodworking course, I can not recommend it enough for someone starting to take an interest in woodwork. Nick is a great teacher, with heaps of knowledge and patience. I would of happily spent a week listening to his advice and past experiences. I'm excited to practice more the skills and techniques I learnt.

We've been struggling off and on for a few years with coving that runs above some shelving either side of a chimney breast and eventually one section fell off completely. So we decided we had to resolve this once and for all, we'd seen some potential options online and started looking around for a suitable trade person to solve this problem. We eventually found Carl at Cookridge Carpentry and his response was prompt and positive. Following a couple of 'false starts' we finally hit on a solution that we could proceed with when he provided a rough dummy. Carl turned up when he said he would and grafted really hard to make sure we reached the result we were looking for. His work was very clean and tidy with little mess, which was surprising. He also spent plenty of time cleaning up after himself on both days. Both local and quality result... winner! We would have no hesitation in recommending Cookridge Carpentry for appropriate work, very professional throughout.

It was a big decision for my wife and I to get a kitchen extension and we took a lot of time deciding who to use. Adam and the team did a great job converting 2 old farm workers cottages into one fantastic house. Unfortunately Covid and lock down struck during this which made it very stressful but the lads got us through it. 2 1/2 years on and Danny has been and sorted the settlement cracks and done a great re-decorate. Can't fault the service from start to finish. Punctual, great value for money and did a great job! I asked for a few specific items which saf was able to cater for. Other companies couldn't offer what I was after. Definitely be using Saf again for my next project!
