Tony was really friendly and helpful from start to finish, especially with choosing style of wardrobe and colours which can be a bit mind boggling with the all the options! The wardrobes were fitted by Tony in a day and I couldn't be happier with them, they look really neat. I would recommend Tony 100% , he is very professional and highly skilled.

Just had my wardrobes fitted and wow! So pleased - I feel like the queen of Leeds! MKB were fantastic. Tony came round to quote when he said he would. He brought samples and brochures and advised based on my vision. He kept me updated on the fitting date. The fitting service was excellent - they came, did their work all day from 8am to 5pm, with minimum disruption, consideration and a smile. The final product is stunning - a total showpiece and statement, with amazing joinery to fit around coving. I don't need any artwork in this room - these wardrobes are ART...thank you gentlemen!

Tony from MKB came around to install two sets of wardrobes. A very approachable, friendly and professional tradesman, Tony seamlessly guided us through the process and provided constructive feedback on our choices. He came around to our property to measure and discuss our needs whilst demonstrating the high quality design and product he offers with samples. We had installed a tall fitted wardrobe into an alcove in a spare bedroom, as well as a large fitted wardrobe with door detailing along an awkward sloping roofline in our main bedroom. Inside the wardrobes are a wood effect insert with large draws in each that were made to measure. We could not be happier with the high quality, solid finish Tony produced. If you’re in the market for bespoke fitted wardrobes/storage I cannot highly recommend Tony enough. There’s no doubt we’ll be requesting Tony’s expertise and services in future projects. Couldn’t be happier with the product and service at MKB. 11/10!

Tony from Moortown Kitchens & Bedrooms has just finished our fitted wardrobes and we love them! He was professional throughout, really understood our needs and tailored the wardrobes after we had to make some last minute tweaks too. Our house is very old with not a straight wall or floor in sight, but the finish he’s managed to achieve is perfect and bespoke to our home and colour preferences. We’d definitely recommend him - and of course use him again ourselves.

RJ Joinery Review February 2024 & July 2024 Integral Wall Cabinet - July 2024 Having been delighted with Richard's upgrade of our staircase, we commissioned him to create an inbuilt wall unit in our lounge as part of the refurbishment programme. Needless to say the finished oak unit is a masterpiece of design and craftmanship at an extremely competitive price. As you can see from the attached photographs it has become the centrepiece of the new lounge and has met with rapturous approval from everyone who's visited. Thanks also go to Paul Wardman our electrician who oversaw a total rewire in the lounge and installed the LED lighting in the unit. Paul is a brilliant electrician, very professional, friendly and competitive. He has overseen all our electrical work since 2009! Thanks Paul Finally, thanks once again Richard for an exemplary service, and a feature that will always remind us of your outstanding craftsmanship! Staircase - February 2024 We recently decided we needed to upgrade our very tired staircase. We invited quotes from a variety of specialists across the UK and were staggered at the ridiculous cost for a maximum of 3 days’ work i.e. Neville Johnson £8,500! We had all but given up, but a chance conversation with some close friends suggested we visit, and look at their recent stair renovation, undertaken by Richard of RJ Joinery, Wakefield. Witnessing his craftmanship, alongside a glowing reference, we invited Richard to visit us and supply a quote. We met Richard a few days later, just before Christmas 2023, and were extremely impressed. All existing newel posts, caps, handrail, and supports were to be removed and replaced with genuine oiled oak, unlike a number of 'specialists' who were simply going to clad the existing 47-year-old inadequate staircase. In addition, the open stringer would be replaced with oiled oak veneer ply. Whilst the closed stringers would be clad with oiled oak veneer ply. Furthermore, to add a contemporary feel to the finished article, we decided to install glass panel infills with brushed steel clamps. Finally, the treads and risers would be repaired, and put an end to the squeaky ascent to the first floor! Richard had a busy schedule and confirmed he could start work at the beginning of February 2024, once our pre-arranged redecoration had concluded at the end of January 2024. His quote promptly arrived, and we were delighted to engage a true craftsman at a highly competitive price, and a fraction of what Neville Johnson had quoted! Richard is a perfectionist, thoroughly professional, diligent, punctual, and extremely polite - he loved our fresh coffee! Each day he arrived by 08:15 and left a clean and tidy house on his departure. The whole project was completed in 2.5 days, which is highly impressive. We cannot speak highly enough of Richard, and the results speak for themselves. The outstanding quality of finish and attention to detail went well beyond our expectations. The attached photos show the project from start to completion. Thank you Richard for delivering a first-class design and renovation on budget and within the agreed schedule! We are very pleased with our staircase renovation completed recently by Richard. From the start, we were given different options and costs for the project. We had a very creaky staircase which was fixed, then oak cladding fitted alongside new oak treads, spindles and handrails. The work was completed to a very high standard and the finished staircase looks amazing. Richard even came back to add an additional top tread. We would definitely recommend Richard. Dan did an incredible job installing our understairs shoe storage and bar—10 out of 10! His attention to detail was second to none, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He even got on well with our cat, who constantly tried to "help" by getting in the way! After we painted the cupboards, Dan kindly popped back to fit the handles, which was much appreciated. We had five quotes for this job, and Dan delivered twice the work for half the price. Highly recommend!

David did a fantastic job for us. He custom made two alcove units either side of the fireplace. The walls were uneven and he managed to fit the shelves and cupboards in seamlessly. From our first meeting with David for a quote we were so impressed. From listening to what we envisioned he offered ideas and started to draw out designs, he knew exactly what we was looking for. Our loft conversion is an awkward pitched roof but he still managed to make the perfect bespoke cupboard & storage solution which other companies we didn’t feel had the same knowledge to do so. We were so glad we decided to go ahead with Blackburn Rose, Dave is one talented joiner. We asked for shaker style doors and he also offered to paint in a specific colour we were looking for. We could not find fault in the full process of David’s work - from kicking off the project gaining a quote, to the design process and fit - we felt truly involved and able to create our own bespoke piece of joinery for our dining room. Throughout the build David was a pleasure to have on the house, the dining room was left immaculate every night (despite the dust the job created) and tools were left clean every night so the project didn’t take over our living space. We look forward to getting him back in for more work and enjoy how this work has become the heart of our home which gets so many compliments every time people see it for the first time!
