I am delighted with my new, bespoke, craftsman-made windows. Manufactured from top-quality, sapele wood and beautifully spray- painted to give a perfect finish they complement our Victorian stone property perfectly. From initial meeting to seeing them expertly installed using traditional methods by the in-house bespoke joinery team everything was carefully managed and I would definitely use their services again.

Excellent work throughout. We have had kitchen renovation including underfloor heating, rear extension with bifold doors and two wet rooms installed. Nothing was too much trouble and all the team were friendly and professional from start to finish. Would highly recommend for any work.

We have added single storey extension to our house and throughout the project found Jordan and his team extremely good to deal with. Without exception the different trades were cheerful, helpful and skilful in going about their work. Where problems arose they were overcome in a sensible and positive way. Despite awful weather in the early stages of the build the team ploughed through, and remained cheerful. We are now delighted with the outcome of our extension, which we feel complements the rest of the space in the house. We would be happy to recommend JH Joinery and Construction for any similar project.

Tony came round with short notice when we explained that we needed some doors planing and rehanging. He was very respectful with his work as we'd recently decorated. Hung 3 doors in less than an hour and very reasonably priced. Would happily recommend him to family and friends and will certainly use his services again. Ta Tony

Tony recently fitted 6 internal doors for us. He worked quickly, efficiently and was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. His quote was very competitive and I can't recommend him more highly. We asked him to return to work on an outside door, and he even gave it a first coat of paint! He will definitely be our "go to" joiner in the future.

Graham is a perfectionist with a keen attention to detail, and his craftsmanship is evident in the finished work. He comes when he says he’ll come and is quick to get his price to you, and refreshingly, when he is on your job - he is totally focused on your job, and not constantly distracted by his phone. I found him to be personable, and happy to use his considerable experience and make suggestions to get the best result. Our new staircase looks great. Chris was pleasant and efficient and said the time he would arrive and was spot on. Chris and his team have completed work on our new extension and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome, from cupboard installation, skirting boards, roof and timber work, flooring, doors and custom wardrobe design. We found Richard a conscientious and skilled carpenter. The staircase was just what we imagined and the cupboard under the staircase was much more than we imagined. It's the little details that make the difference, instead of having an off-the-shelf cupboard handle, Richard made us a wooden one. We would certainly recommend him.

Richard quoted for a staircase refurbishment, changing from a white spindle staircase to oak and glass . RJ Joinery Review February 2024 & July 2024 Integral Wall Cabinet - July 2024 Having been delighted with Richard's upgrade of our staircase, we commissioned him to create an inbuilt wall unit in our lounge as part of the refurbishment programme. Needless to say the finished oak unit is a masterpiece of design and craftmanship at an extremely competitive price. As you can see from the attached photographs it has become the centrepiece of the new lounge and has met with rapturous approval from everyone who's visited. Thanks also go to Paul Wardman our electrician who oversaw a total rewire in the lounge and installed the LED lighting in the unit. Paul is a brilliant electrician, very professional, friendly and competitive. He has overseen all our electrical work since 2009! Thanks Paul Finally, thanks once again Richard for an exemplary service, and a feature that will always remind us of your outstanding craftsmanship! Staircase - February 2024 We recently decided we needed to upgrade our very tired staircase. We invited quotes from a variety of specialists across the UK and were staggered at the ridiculous cost for a maximum of 3 days’ work i.e. Neville Johnson £8,500! We had all but given up, but a chance conversation with some close friends suggested we visit, and look at their recent stair renovation, undertaken by Richard of RJ Joinery, Wakefield. Witnessing his craftmanship, alongside a glowing reference, we invited Richard to visit us and supply a quote. We met Richard a few days later, just before Christmas 2023, and were extremely impressed. All existing newel posts, caps, handrail, and supports were to be removed and replaced with genuine oiled oak, unlike a number of 'specialists' who were simply going to clad the existing 47-year-old inadequate staircase. In addition, the open stringer would be replaced with oiled oak veneer ply. Whilst the closed stringers would be clad with oiled oak veneer ply. Furthermore, to add a contemporary feel to the finished article, we decided to install glass panel infills with brushed steel clamps. Finally, the treads and risers would be repaired, and put an end to the squeaky ascent to the first floor! Richard had a busy schedule and confirmed he could start work at the beginning of February 2024, once our pre-arranged redecoration had concluded at the end of January 2024. His quote promptly arrived, and we were delighted to engage a true craftsman at a highly competitive price, and a fraction of what Neville Johnson had quoted! Richard is a perfectionist, thoroughly professional, diligent, punctual, and extremely polite - he loved our fresh coffee! Each day he arrived by 08:15 and left a clean and tidy house on his departure. The whole project was completed in 2.5 days, which is highly impressive. We cannot speak highly enough of Richard, and the results speak for themselves. The outstanding quality of finish and attention to detail went well beyond our expectations. The attached photos show the project from start to completion. Thank you Richard for delivering a first-class design and renovation on budget and within the agreed schedule!
