Love taking the kids to Jumbles reservoir. The walk around is brilliant, and always has something new when walking around to seeing the horses, to the other animals on and around the lake. It's a great place to have some family time, out in the open, and tires the kids out everytime.

Fantastic place, I live local and like to get out and take some sunrise shots. Had a great walk around the Jumbles yesterday. Little gem of a place. The car park is great, lots of space and easy to access the trail.

First time walk - a few other paths to take next time. Some lovely views and lots of dog walkers about. Nice cafe at the end of it and toilet facilities in the carpark.

We went on a pretty quiet Friday night. Weekend before Valentine's so to be expected. Service was great. Food was good, but had better elsewhere for cheaper. That isn't saying it's not worth the money because I think it was. Would likely go again

We are local residents and use the ‘takeaway’ service. Food is always excellent. But, surely there should be a discount for takeaway? We’d use it even more! Wendy & Giuseppe are great people and the atmosphere is always great, the restaurant always looks fab and is warm and cosy. Be great to see the outside seating used this year too 😉

Excellent in all ways, food, service and atmosphere. My partner had the Tagliatelle Salmon with (£16.95) he has every time as it's the best he's ever had, he says. I had the chefs special (£23.50) made with halloumi for the 1st time and it was excellent, although a tad too spicey for me, next time I'll ask them to dial down the cajun spice. You can also have it with prawns, chicken or lamb, I think. We also shared a starter, the frittata which I was surprised how spicy it was but the sweet chilli sauce cooled it slightly. Definitely recommend the restaurant, Giuseppe is great, friendly and helpful.

Authentic Italian food cooked to perfection. Giuseppe and Wendy were so welcoming and made us feel at home, especially our daughter! Fantastic service, we will definitely be back!

Called in mid-afternoon on a Friday for a light meal. Lovely pub, situated on a corner in the lovely village of Edgworth. There is a car park at the back and an outdoor seating area. When we arrived, the pub was very quiet but soon started to get busier - obviously a popular gathering place for locals calling in. The atmosphere was good, with attentive and pleasant staff. A good selection of menu items. Would definitely again. Dog friendly.

Enjoyed a superb lunch today with a friend, who was having a belated birthday meal with me. At the end, she was presented with a portion of biscoff cheesecake with a lit candle on top! Such a lovely kind gesture and much appreciated. My slow cooked lamb shepherd's pie was gorgeous. We will return soon!

The Sunday lunch was first class, food and service were 2nd to none. There were 8 adults and 2 children in our party and we couldn't fault a thing. Well done team White Horse, we will certainly be back. (I have eaten there before, had the seabass - amazing!)

Been long time since I've been to the White Horse Pub. An have to say i was rather pleasantly surprised! the pub has certainly changed in the 10yrs since I've last been. Bobbed in have a few beer & something eat with few friends. An all-around have to say we were pleased.!! The beer is good on draft.!! An there is a wide selection of food, from traditional pub classics. For those a little more adventures, a few Asian styles cuisine on offer. Don't forget to check the special board as well!! I personally had the crum coated cod. It was really good.!! 👌. An the cheese board was perfect to finish 🧀 😋..

Shared a lovely afternoon with work friends at the Grease Vs Dirty dancing do, we laughed so much had a boogie fell over and laughed some more. What a beautiful setting lovely room (cottage) extremely comfortable bed 👍🏻. Spa access was fabulous beautiful spa pool and a range of steam rooms/sauna. All the staff that we came into contact with were extremely helpful. Breakfast was so GOOD the Cumberland sausage YUM good quality produce. Didn’t want to leave to be honest well done everyone 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 we shall be back x

Had a meal here with a party of 5. Excellent staff and decor, very clean with lovely real fires. Would highly recommend. Food took an hour to reach the table but his isn't a problem as there are signs stating that the food is freshly prepared and may take a while to reach the table.. Fantastic food which was definitely worth the wait. We enjoyed this place so much we have booked for a weekend stay.

Wow wow wow the Sunday roast was yes wow lol. Really tasty and fresh. The staff were so friendly and nice towards our dog too. Nothing was an issue and the price was reasonable too.

Amazing Wednesday ‘steak night’ deal! £20 for 2 main courses including a bottle if wine! There is a ‘live’ musician playing & singing too. The food is super tasty,hot & plentiful. The atmosphere is welcoming. The only negative is the very limited parking.

Booked for a family meal for late Sunday afternoon and were delighted that the place was decked out for Christmas - including the option of their Christmas menu, with 3 course or 2 course options - all 4 adults opted for the latter - the 3 year old went for chicken nuggets, fries and peas off the children's menu. When he saw our starters arrive to all but him, he happily joined me with the french bread I had to accompany my melted Camembert. The service staff were helpful throughout and the Santa party hats were greatly appreciated - especially the mini version that adorned the straws on my grandson's special drink. I actually take time to describe this as, for me, it shows the quality of this establishment. Having pulled grandson away from his current favourite cartoon, I asked the drinks waiter if he had any dragon's blood drink. Without a blink he said that he had and returned with a beautifully presented blackcurrant drink, with 2 straws crowned by a mini felt Santa hat. All 4 adults went for different menu options for our mains: my wife had the halloumi skewers - an order that required a box to take the remainder home in; the beef, fish and my early Christmas dinner all went down a treat. The layout of the seating was really well thought out and we loved the attention paid to a child's birthday celebration meal on the same balcony we were on. This is an establishment where it is not just the food the owners should be proud of but the way every single member of staff was dedicated to your enjoyment of the occasion. The atmosphere was great. Certainly a place we will return to, and one I can't recommend highly enough.

Absolutely fabulous !!! Warm homely atmosphere .. made better by the beautiful helpful and conscientious staff .. staff who are invested in their job and all around it .. such a rare thing these days and really needs a mention .. The food was amazing perfectly cooked and presented ( we had the skewers !! ) opt for chunky chips they were to die for .. even the salad was fresh and seasoned beautifully .. not enough great things to say except we will def be back xxx

We visit The Retreat about once a week and have done for the past 3 years. I have never had a single complaint about anything, service, food, prices and friendly staff. A lot of other restaurants could learn from these guys. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and always very clean. They also don’t mention that you can take your dog in the outside eating areas. Incredible place, amazing people, highly recommended !!!!!

Great pub/restaurant with great choice of beers and lovely food. Proper cooked food, none of the usual frozen rubbish some places churn out! Pet friendly area, too, for dining or just calling in for a pint or two!

Went for Sunday lunch but I couldn’t resist the suet pudding, chips and seasonal veg. It was amazing. Not the traditional shaped pudding, came in an oval dish and it was just the best. Loads of soft beef and rich gravy. The chips are homemade chunky chips and are fantastic and the veg was well cooked. Everything piping hot. My husband had the beef Sunday lunch and enjoyed it but I do not regret my choice. I keep thinking about that pudding!!

8 of us went for food last night. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the chicken dish and omg! The best food I have ever tasted! Compliments to the chef! My friend didn’t eat much of her fish pie, not because she didn’t like it but she’s on the weight injections, after the waitress had taken all our empty plates she came back to the table collecting more plates and said the chef had asked if there was any problem with the fish pie. We all thought this was really good as the chef is taking an interest on people enjoying the food! Loved that! Waitress was also a little star. No one ever went without drinks and no problems with the food order. All very fresh. I never have 3 courses on a meal and was full to the brim after main meal but we all enjoyed the food that much that we just had to try the deserts too! So we shared a few. Atmosphere nice and chilled. And not too pricey. Would highly recommend and will be returning. Thank-you to all your staff for a pleasant evening.

Veg pie and mash was okay. Mash was a bit bland with extra charge for gravy. Desserts were good and seemed to be freshly made. We felt a bit rushed even though we'd been given a time slot, but then moved to another table

Such a great lovely place. Been here a few times great service apart from when it was a big group, so make sure you check ur receipt before paying as there was a mix up & my friend ended up paying more as he paid for someone else’s, which were added to his bill, fortunately they rectified their mistake & gave him the money back. This time we got starters, mains & desserts was lovely food & service costed all together £65.

Spent New Years Eve at baci and it was the first time I have been. What an amazing evening the food was flawless and cooked to perfection. Considering it was so very busy it was so well presented and served beautifully. The waiting staff were knowledgeable friendly and polite and really got into the spirit of the evening. I will absolutely be back again!!! Thanks baci for a perfect New Years eve.

I've been Baci several times now, and it's a pretty reliable place for tastie Italian food, good service, with a good selection of drinks!! Plus, don't forget to check out their specials board, usually some great seasonal dishes available 🍕🍝🥂🇮🇹 😋.. Whether it's passing by and ya want a quick drink, an a little anti pasta whilst enjoying the sun outside, or ya want a place book for a family meal / birthday, the staff are more than accommodating for any event. Would deffently recommend to family an friends, an no dought will be giving the place a vist again!! ..

5 of us dined here this evening, we were late due to traffic issues but not a problem for the patient staff, food top quality nicely presented, generous portions and a few more unusual things on the menu. Thanks for a great evening- very appreciated by all of us.

Visited for food on a Friday night whilst staying at The Village Hotel. We both had fish and chips. The food was piping hot and so nice. Not often you get such good quality food from a major pub chain. Would also love to visit for the “cuppa and cake” special offer during the week. Thanks Waterford Farm 👌🏿

Fantastic first carvery experience! The food was really nice, all fresh veg, massive home made yorkies and plenty of meat for a surprisingly cheap price. Definitely going again.

Came here for evening tea with my Fiance and my little 4 year old child. Was served at the bar by a polite bar man called Tom he was well mannered and very polite. I had a carvery my partner tried one of there burger meals and our 4 year old child enjoyed her chicken piecemeal. We later enquired about booking for Christmas dinner later this year as we hear one of the chefs recommend Christmas lunch to another costomer and that they had already began taking orders this year. So we was greeted by the on duty manager called Ash who explained everything to us so why we was there we decided to book there and then for Christmas 2025 dinner. Can I just say that Tom & Ash are a credit to you establishment and we will be back again soon.
