Had this place recommended a few times and driven passed it 100s if not 1000s of times. Finally went for an evening meal with my lad and a mate. Had the Turkis Platter for 3/4. Oh my word....great food, the wings, shwarma, lamp chops all so good. Great platter and plenty to feed 3 really well. Breads & dips all really tasty. Turkish tea was a nice treat Service friendly and quick. Will be going back without a doubt

I was taken there as a treat for my Birthday today.My daughter and son in law and my eldest son travelled from York and Sheffield and had asked me to chose a place for lunch.I have been to various places for a meal in the past, most of them have been a much of the sameness.I am not one for chain restaurants. I had heard some good reports about Nicks in the past My daughter booked online for the 4 of us I can tell you the food was fantastic! the service was great as well as the atmosphere. I was really surprised when it came to desserts, when out blasted 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' and then I was presented with strawberry and ice cream topped with a sparkler! I must admit that I blamed it on my daughter for arranging it, she said she hadn't, but on the booking it asked her if we were celebrating anything, she answered 'dad's birthday' Although I felt very embarrassed, it was a really nice touch added to the service,and one I won't forget in a hurry! All in all a great experience, I really can't wait for the next time they visit so we can come again. Nicks is definitely the place to go!!!

I'm giving Nicks at Turton Goft Club 5 stars despite not actually eating there. We'd booked in but it was the evening that it snowed quiet heavily so only some of us reached it as it's situated on the tops in the open, and as it continued snowing we decided to leave and re- book. However, the menus looked great, see attached photos, and Nick himself greeted us and offered to drive us to the back to the restaurant if we wanted to leave our cars at the end of the lane, however, we declined as not all of us have made it there. Nick was very warm and friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be booking again.

We enjoyed a lunchtime meal. Roast pork and chicken breast with all the trimmings and extra sides of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. Plentiful and delicious. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. We’re already planning our next visit with the family!

Went here today for the first time and what a find! Lovely decor. Welcoming staff. Good menu. We had the fish sharing platter and it was delightful. Fresh, well presented and yummy. Will be back.

Just had a family Christmas Eve meal for 13 people which incorporated the 92nd birthday of one of our party. The staff were amazing and really spoilt the 92 year old ! They were attentive without being overbearing and were really friendly and genuine. The food was lovely, everything was served quickly and warm. We all said that we would definitely go back. Thank you Bradshaw Bar and Grill for a lovely afternoon 😊

Celebrated my sisters birthday on the 8th February with four family members food was fantastic, lovely atmosphere nothing was to much trouble. And they finished off the evening with singing happy birthday. Would recommend!

I have been to The Chetham Arms on many occasions. The service is always quick and all the staff are very friendly no matter who you speak to which creates a warm and welcoming environment. I recently decided to try the special which was a chicken and pesto flatbread with rocket salad and cherry tomatoes. I had halloumi fries on the side and they were delicious, not too greasy and just enough dipping sauce. The venue itself is very clean and offers dog friendly sitting, but there is also the option to sit away in a no dog zone should you wish. Highly recommend visiting this place!

Our family love to come here when we are in the area and have done so for a number of years. The staff are very friendly and have always been accommodating. The food is traditional pub grub as it used to be, home made and nostalgic, which is what a pub should be. Lovely atmosphere, homely and welcoming. After a nice long walk this is the place to come, have a nice pint and some pub grub and there's a doggy menu too. Good choices of beer and food and good prices.

Rag pudding is famous and their mince beef onion pie is delicious. Great portions for lunch and such a lovely ambience to sit and enjoy a classic UK pub atmosphere

Went in here for a lunch, nice and clean, friendly staff (bar man and the girl doing table service). We had, houmous starter, Main, rag pudding, cheese N onion pie and a ale and a cider, £46. The food was delicious, my wife said the mash potatoe was very good (she is a chef). The table we were sat at (room to the right as you go in) felt sticky, it was clean but requires attention. I recommend you try this pub. 👍

An all round enjoyable stay. Great quality fairly priced food. It was a Sunday and we had the Sunday sharer preceded by tasty fishcakes. The cheeseboard was to duie for too. The room was comfy and spacious as was the bathroom. A star off the room as cleaning wasn't done thoroughly. Otherwise the breakfast was very good and ample parking made this a great stay.

We love this place. Been going for the last couple of months and eaten outside with family members a couple of times when the weather permitted - they liked it too. We live in Rossendale and it is our favourite place to have a little run out for a meal. All the staff have been friendly and helpful and the food we have eaten has been lovely. The atmosphere has been extremely pleasant on each occasion. What more can you ask for? We would definitely recommend 😁 x

Sunday Lunch was beautiful and filled a hole. The Yorkshire pudding with Sunday roast was the best and felt home made rather than a normal carvery. The fish and chips although a plain dish was beautiful. Please visit and support this last pub in the village. But best reserve a table although we were fitted in before the later rush no doubt. thank you

Had a great experience here. Perfect pit stop for a walk around the area. Had the big breakfast option and it was absolutely phenomenal. Affordable and delicious. Staff were friendly, service was quick. Cant recommend enough.

We rang the day before & asked if it was alright to park car then walk around the reservoir, to later pop in have lunch no problems & very polite over the phone. After a lovely walk sunny with lovely breeze we ordered our food with a tab just the right portions delicious food & reasonable menu . All the staff very attentive smiling & checking fantastic. Reasonable parking with 2 disabled bays I had cheifs starter also 4 mains 5 pints , 2 still waters with lemon 2 cranberry juice between us,for just over £60:00 very reasonable. The reservoir walk is well worth the effort, there are some muddy patches & steep stretches ,uneven stones great for dogs also pub is dog friendly. 🐕

The food was absolutely delicious, though it did take a bit longer than expected - especially as we were the only ones there. That said, it was worth the wait. The surprise of the night? Being told it’s cash only. A little heads-up beforehand would have been nice! The decor and vibe fit the place perfectly, though, so all in all, a good experience. Just remember to bring cash! Did NOT accept card payment on our visit. Staff verbally confirmed the food here is halal.

The steak was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked, juicy, and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The peppercorn sauce was silky smooth, rich, and flavorful, perfectly complementing the steak. The service was top-notch as well. Sheena, who served us, was warm, attentive. The atmosphere was inviting and created the perfect setting for a great meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a quality steak and excellent service. I will definitely be back for more!

We visited on Sunday evening and enjoyed a lovely atmosphere with excellent service from the staff. The starters were delicious—we had pitta with hummus and cheesy jalapeño balls. The steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as we requested, and the portion sizes were generous, offering great value for money. The Madagascar chicken was well-cooked, perfectly seasoned, and marinated beautifully.

Our first time visiting here and it definitely won't be our last. Such a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor and friendly staff. Myeel who seated us upon arrival and served us throughout our meal was very attentive and accomodating and gave us great recommendations of the restaurants best sellers. We ordered the Tawa grill for 3, poppadoms with spice tray, blue lagoon mocktail, pineapple mocktail, 2x j2o, brownie with ice cream, kheer and moroccan tea. Everything was presented well and tasted amazing. Spice level was perfect and food was very tasty and flavourful. Myeel checked on us regularly throughout our meal and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. Great service. We will definitely be back again soon!

Great food. We finished every last bit. Steak is so moist and tender that you don’t need any sauce. We had the rib eye 350 gram steak which was so great that you just want to savour the taste on its own. Alisha is the perfect host as she explains the different cuts to choose from. We will be back for more.

A special shoutout to Berat, who was incredibly welcoming and made our experience even more enjoyable.
