“Had such a a great time at Turtle Bay for birthday drinks on Friday! The vibe was spot on, cocktails were banging, and the food was perfect for light bites, would definitely recommend the mac n cheese!! Big shoutout to James—proper sound guy, super friendly, and made sure our drinks landed fast. Definitely coming back for more good vibes, great food, and top-tier cocktails.”

“Delicious small dishes. Nice variety & good vegetarian options. We sat at the bar and the staff kept an eye on us giving us a good service. Would come back! The only downside were two women behind us who seemed to be there for drinks not for food but were very drunk already. Didn’t feel like the place for such a night. Hope the staff take that into consideration. Other than that, excellent restaurant and you could tell everyone was working hard.”

“Still my favourite place in Manchester. From the hospitality and welcome to the absolutely incredible food! Complex but approachable cooking with sauces to die for. Each dish is immaculate and full of flavour with superb presentation. The guys here are just going from strength to strength, every visit they somehow keep getting better. Inventive drinks offering with local suppliers and natural wines. Front of house is relaxed and attentive but the stars of the show are Julian and Max the chef/owners whose welcome and conversation is the best you will get anywhere in the city. Wether it’s on the chefs table or being served one of their dishes they truly make every meal a special occasion. Absolutely loving what these guys are doing and with the challenges of the venue size they are smashing it out the park. Go and visit Exhibition too in Manchester where they have a kitchen serving incredible flatbread based dishes called Jaan.”

“We ate here our first night visiting Manchester. We got seat upstairs with no reservation. The food was great. You can see and taste the quality and why it was Michelin recommended. Our favorite was the octopus and croquettes but everything was delicious.”

“This was our 2nd visit to the Viet Shack - it is such a great place to eat. If you are visiting Ancoats in Manchester and need food, then you must eat here. The menu includes many vegan options - all of which are gorgeous. The staff are friendly and helpful. A feature of the place is that you can't make a reservation. You can leave a mobile number and they will call you if there is a table free at the time you would like. Certainly visit if you are in the area and want to eat gorgeous food.”

“Went for a meal for our wedding anniversary at Gaucho in Manchester and it was excellent. Had a drink in the bar before being taken through to our table in the spectacular dining room. We decided to have the 700g Chateaubriand and a carafe of wine. The steak was fantastic - a lovely char on the outside and perfectly tender inside. The steak came with a couple of sauces and sides which were all excellent too, specially the truffle dauphinoise. We were also given a glass of champagne each free of charge for our anniversary which was a lovely touch. Service in the dining room was great (though a little bit more ropey in the bar) and overall the experience was excellent. Not cheap of course but definitely worth it and we'd happily visit again.”

“Absolutely superb place - set in an old historic bank with plenty of marble lining the walls, this is an iconic location for a meal or simply a drink. The service was second to none. We had a friendly bar tender, Oscar, who just made things easy for us. We had the 2 courses for £18.95 menu; effortlessly delicious. Highly recommend”

“Fantastic restaurant showcasing fresh seasonal ingredients. They serve a selection of small plates and some larger ones with a regularly rotating menu. The staff were lovely and very helpful and everything I had was super delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tomato dishes and the beef tartare. I managed to snag a seat at the counter too so could watch the chefs prepare everything in their open kitchen. Can't recommend this place highly enough.”

“Brilliant atmosphere, decent burger from Tender Cow. Swift service and good selection of options. No kids specific options so share food to maximise value and portion size. Burger was brilliantly made from quality ingredients but slightly overseasoned. Chips well seasoned and tasty but occasionally just a little soggy.”

“This was by far the best roast I've ever had in a restaurant! Perfectly tender lamb seasoned with Rosemary, everything was so flavoursome. The pigs in blankets with honey and mustard glaze were to die for. I couldn't fault it at all and would recommend to everyone, 10/10!”
