I found this place on the Beli app (restaurant review app). It was simply perfection from the vibes, to the food, to the staff! I walked in on a Thursday night for a late dinner and sat at the bar. The server/manager (?) was immediately warm and welcoming, and offered me recommendations. I had the steak tartare and beef fat grilled flatbread. Then finished with the chocolate tarte for dessert. Everything was divine. Not only was the food amazing, but the kind staff hand-wrote a list of other fantastic spots to visit during my time in Manchester. Nothing better than getting recs from locals! I will absolutely be back next time I’m in town. Thank you, Erst for a lovely experience my first time in the UK!

Such a great place. Food is so simple, but delivers so many beautiful flavours. Service was very attentive. Never felt rushed but always noticed. I’m not a fan of wine, but when in Rome… good wine list with a helpful server to find a suitable wine for both the meal and personal taste. Favourites during my visit had to be the Game Chou Farci, Gnocco Frito and the Beef Fat Flatbread. Would recommend this for any visit to Manchester.

Great delicious food, nice wine, cool and calm atmosphere and nice staff - what more do you want? For only a small restaurant this place packs a punch. They made my partners 40th such a special experience and looked after us so well. With gorgeous seasonal food that is so intricately put together I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt very welcomed by the staff and ambience! Definitely suggesting sitting at the kitchen bar if you would like to chat with some great chefs. The scallop and tomatoes were a standout for us, unreal. The wine list was really approachable with some good natural gems. Every dish was explained perfectly, and having chefs drop dishes was a great touch. Chef Max made the experience one of the best we've had in England with some great conversation. We will be definetly be back and spread the word!

We were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant, especially since it has a high rating of 4.8 on Google. The starters were a pleasant surprise—very good and creative. However, the main courses were a bit of a letdown. The cabbage tasted good, but the core was bitter. Unfortunately, the steak was dry and overcooked, even after we sent it back (we had ordered it medium rare). Overall, we wanted to give this place a higher rating because it seemed like a hidden gem, especially for the price. We’ll need to come back another time to see if it was just an off night.

Arrived during lunch hour and it was no problem to have lunch without a reservation. Very friendly and professional staff. The have a nice selection of wine by the glass and the bottle selection is also really good. Foodwise I can say that every dish had wonderfully balanced ingredients of high quality. Some of the dishes (artichoke and cabbage with mussels) were magnificent. A must visit when you want wine and dine on a high level in Manchester.

The atmosphere was fantastic, with beautiful decor and some of the best food we've ever tasted. The professional and polite staff made us feel right at home. After three previous unsuccessful attempts at walking in without a reservation, we finally got lucky and found a spot at the bar, where we could watch the food being prepared. It was an incredible experience that we’ll definitely repeat—though next time, we’ll make sure to book a table!

Ate here with my husband for my birthday. Was looking for somewhere special but not too fancy. This place was perfect. We ordered 6 dishes and they were all fantastic. I can say that any of them were my favorite as they all were 10/10. We both have big appetites and 6 dishes between the two of us was just right. I came with my family for my 30th birthday and was not disappointed. Everything we tried was so good, between the 6 of us we tried a majority of the menu and everything was delicious, stand out dishes though I’d say was the prawns and beef ribs, but that’s a hard choice as everything was great. The desserts were delicious too and so well presented. Our server was very helpful with explaining the dishes, very attentive and friendly. Already looking forward to retuning

The food was amazing and the staff were on point with their service! The first thing we pointed out was how cozy the place is and how comfortable the seats were. Ideal for a power nap after your meal. I'm definitely coming again to try other dishes!

The food was really great, generous portions and wonderful flavours. The staff were so lovely and warm in their service and the environment was brilliant. Will go back again for both the great food and delicious cocktails.

A lovely place serving authentic Vietnamese food at a great price, the flavours are great, and each dish is carefully made. The staff are very helpful and patient and were able to help recommend dishes also. The service was speedy, and all dishes were served well. The only downside was that some dishes had cooled by the time they reached the table, which was slightly disappointing. I would highly recommend the 3 plates for a set price as you can try multiple dishes, and if you're with someone to a group, they're great for sharing. I would and will definitely be going again, and as they also do delivery, I will make the most of that too!

Visited on a Tuesday lunchtime. My first time trying Vietnamese food,it was absolutely fantastic! The lunch menu is fantastic value, service was fantastic. I definitely recommend and will be visiting again

A good place for celebration. Nice environment and good service. We have ordered a salmon tartare tacos as starter it is delicious. The steaks are cooked nicely and chips are great.

I had a gift card for Christmas so probably would have never come here if not for that as it is very expensive, but it was lovely. There are some more affordable options if you want to enjoy some good food without breaking the bank. We had the Sunday roast and the beef was cooked perfectly. The roast potatoes were really good too. For dessert I had the chocolate torte, which was recommended to us by our waitress, Annie. My friend had the chocolate brownie and that looked incredible - it was his birthday so they dressed it up a little for him. Annie was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the food, compliments to her. Recommend the bread basket too.

We had an amazing time here. Being served by the lovely Stefan made us feel welcome and well looked after. We went for the summer lunch set menu and loved all three courses! The empanada was delicious, the steak lived up to our expectations and more, plus the pistachio and raspberry ice cream dessert was an amazing final touch. We couldn’t fault this place and loved the decor of the restaurant. We will without a doubt come back again soon and perhaps try out the a la carte menu next.

We enjoyed the private dining experience with Marco as our waiter. We had canapés to start, followed by the three course menu. The food was delicious. There was a nice choice of drinks so our guests all had options they liked. Special thanks to Marco who really went above and beyond to look after our guests & us. Marco is a real asset to the Browns Team.

We had a private dining for our wedding celebration which was so great, the foods were so tasty and presentable, the decorations of browns is fabulous. The staffs were so helpful I would like to compliment especially Sarah and Marco, Sarah was so kind and helped us to prepare the decorations she provided things as we requested which made me blown away. Marco was so nice and helpful and kind. The service from Browns made our big day special and remarkable

Food was amazing. Had the valentines menu. Well worth the money. Staff was amazing. Heidi kept us topped with drinks. Didn’t have to wait at all really for any part of the evening. Live pianist was a great touch. Stunning building and unique architecture. We’ll work the splash for the experience of this place.

Visited twice in quick succession now and it’s quickly become my favourite spot in town. Expert service that feels effortless, but expert, amazing wine suggestions, and perfect food that leaves me planning my next visit before I finish the last bite. Love, love, love.

Amazing food, went for sharer menu and very happy with portions and sizes. By end was thoroughly full and pleased. Some stand outs was Yorkshire Rhubarb dessert and also the Beetroot with smoked cod roe Negroni cocktail was amazing as well as organic orange wine. Great place and look forward to visiting again

Loved this restaurant in Manchester city centre. Creative ever changing menu with an emphasis on sharing. The atmosphere was laid back, the staff were all really friendly and helpful with recommendations and there was also an excellent wine list. The food was fantastic, there's some talented people working in that kitchen

I went to higher ground for a lunch with family. The food was out of this world and was modern British cuisine. Waiters and hostess working there were very cooperative and friendly. They attended us immediately as we went right on time we were booked. We tried the tasting menu which was was very surprising - Hostess told us that they won't tell us about the menu as that's there way of making you feel good about the food and have no anticipation whatsoever (no partiality either). This was surreal as I felt and gave my first reaction which was honest to the core as the different courses of food kept on coming. I totally recommend this place if you have a special day to celebrate or if you are looking for a peaceful lunch and evening with a loved one in cool and breezy sunshine of Manchester. :)

We came to Mackie Mayor for food and drinks before heading to a concert at the COOP arena. We came in a big group of up to 13 people at lunchtime, and we found seats on the upper floors and were impressed by the stunning interior design! Mackie Mayor is a food hall composed of several different vendors - with a huge range of options from tacos to burgers it is great for large groups with a huge range of choices. My personal highlights were the fried chicken with buffalo sauce. Also, the beer selection was amazing with the mango IPA tasting amazing! I would recommend it to anyone in the local area.

Fantastic place for food. Bit quicky like a good hall with kitchens on the ground floor offering various styles of food. Easy to go in sit down and order on the app with the table number. Food was quick after ordering, a variety of food offered from the kitchens. I had the BBQ Korean chicken burger with waffle fries and partner had a double beef burger and skin on chips! Piping hot and tasty! Definitely come again. What was a let down was lack of desserts and those that offered ice cream was 'sold out' has to go else where for dessert but all in all a good place to come for food especially in groups with different people wanting different food!

First time here and I don’t regret it! Orders the steak sandwich and triple cooked chips deal. The sandwich was absolutely spot on, juicy, tender, tasty. The chips were good but on the saltier side which I didn’t appreciate but I did smack in some mayo and ketchup to sweeten the taste which helped. This is a casual place and we went around brunch time which was busy but good vibes. Overall, I would recommend, good prices, great location and love that you can order from different vendors.

We were initially drawn to the restaurant by its impressive exterior, and once inside, we were delighted by the stunning ambiance. While the staff were polite, they didn’t come across as particularly warm, though they were still accommodating. The food was decent, though not extraordinary. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we received a complimentary cake after our meal, which was a thoughtful touch and appreciated for the occasion. The restroom, located upstairs, was beautifully decorated, adding to the overall charm of the place. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, with a few small areas for improvement in service, but the hospitality and atmosphere made it memorable.

I have visited The Ivy Spinningfields Manchester multiple times, and it remains one of my favorite spots. The service is always consistent, and the staff are welcoming and professional. The restaurant is well-known for its excellent reputation and elegant atmosphere. Their desserts are both luxurious and delicious. Their afternoon tea is among the best I’ve ever had. This place is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic from start to finish. From the food which was faultless & very reasonably priced for the quality. The staff which are so friendly & welcoming, from the 2 gentleman at the door when you enter, welcoming staff front of house & servers, all are friendly & do what they can to make your visit as perfect as possible, especially a tall guy called Miltos. If you want a 5* experience at an average price, you will not be disappointed

Yet again, a fantastic meal at The Ivy! Fantastic service throughout from our server, amazingly tasty food. And honestly, it's not massively expensive... yes a little more than what you'd pay in a Spoons, but the food is top notch devine with a wonderful atmosphere and wonderful, personal service! It's our treat. You can pay less than £20 for a two course meal. Also, the App gave an amazing offer... double points... whoop! Thank you once again for an amazing experience.

Best Sunday Roast we’ve had in Manchester!! Came here for my partners birthday and the food did not disappoint! Lovely soup for starter, and a delicious roast dinner. The portion size was perfect! Amazing service, they gave my partner a complementary Prosecco for his birthday which was a lovely touch. Will definitely go again!

Overall a very good spot for a brunch. We choose the bottomless drinks and 3 dishes. Our favorite was the mushroom sandwich, amazing taste explosion. We also had the crispy pork belly that was good but lacked a bit of taste on the pork belly itself, dish as whole complemented that. We also had the lamb shoulder, not as good as I would hope it to be. The salad to the lamb shoulder was although really good. Personnel was very kind and had a high service mind. A bit to expensive for the quality

Came for a Sunday roast and was a 10/10 experience. The staff were so lovely and welcoming from the second we arrived, our waitress was so attentive. I had specific dietary requirements and they were taken so seriously by the staff, I felt so reassured. The food was so delicious as well. Loved it.

I’ve been there a few times, the food are always amazing. But that’s the first time I had their Sunday Roast. We ordered, wagyu rump, lamb shoulder, pork belly set. All are amazing! The only downside might be we were sitting nearby the entrance and it was quite cold when the door opened and cold wind blew in.
