We’re sat here now having Christmas dinner. Couldn’t fault a thing. Excellent service, the students are a credit to the college. All 6 of us had a variety of starters, mains and desserts. All perfect and fantastic value for money.

This restaurant is a really lovely great fabulous place to eat. The staff atmosphere are amazing 👏

Fabulous food at the wheel restaurant 😋 I went with my mum and sister and had a great meal. It was a shame that there weren't many tables in dining, as these young students need the experience of a full restaurant. They are open Tuesday and Thursday for lunch at 12,12:15,12:30, and the same days but for the evening at 6 pm, 6:15,6:30. We arranged a table on the day so they do take in last min bookings and the drinks prices are excellent 👌 Highly recommend the fish n chips 😋 the fish was the best fish n chips I've ever had, the batter was lovely and light, and the home-made tarter sauce was excellent only thing missing was some mushy peas but the veg that we had to share between us was excellent and could have fed another 4 people, we had carrots, new potatoes, green beans with a ragu sauce and another portion of chips. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough, and for the price of £17.95 ( for the evening/dinner menu), we all left completely stuffed. we also had a cup of tea at the end and a homemade biscuit 😋

We've been 4 or 5 times with various people and the food has been brilliant. Not just good for collage students... It's really good! You get a nice (and still cheap) meal and students get a chance to learn and work towards a future in catering.

Booked a table for 9 for a special birthday . Everything was set up specially. The service was very quick and professional. The food was amazing . I would definitely recommend coming here .

We recently had a family celebration for a special anniversary at Divino. The food was wonderful. Everything we ordered was so tasty. There were around 20 of us, and the service we received was excellent. The servers were friendly and efficient. My parents were so happy with how the evening went, and I have no doubt that we will visit at Divino again soon!

We went for the first time tonight, kids had pizzas and myself and my wife had the most amazing mouth watering steaks. They really were top quality and cooked to perfection. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the service is top not we will be returning

Went here for the first time today after a lovely walk and following recommendation from a friend. Food was delicious 😋 the only reason I've put 4 stars for the atmosphere is because there was hardly anyone in at the time we went. I would definitely go back 👌

Lovely place, took my daughter for her birthday, she’s pescatarian and there was a good choice for her. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch which was really well cooked and pink as we like it. My daughter had the herb crusted cod which looked lovely, she cleared her plate. Wine was of good quality, all in all a brilliant place for a special occasion. Portions are very big and I couldn’t finish mine regretfully as it was delicious.

Excellent meal relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. There was a very good wide ranging selection of vegetarian meals which is very unusual but very appreciated. The quality of the neat and fish was also reported to be extremely good. We will definitely visit again

We had an amazing meal here both opting for the steak deal which was cooked to perfection for us, the pics probably don't do the food justice....the portions were great and could have managed without the starter of bread hummus and oil 😋.

Modern restaurant, nice decor. Friendly and efficient staff. Quick service, both of drinks and food. I chose three tapas and that was easily enough for me. Probably best chorizo (with prawns) one that I have ever had, and that includes in Spain.

My wife and I decided to try a vegan Bolognaise at home as I am housebound with illness. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous, catering to our every need. The food was authentic and tasty and the price was reasonable. We will definitely come back again soon as there are other dishes we would like to try. Excellent service, thank you Nuovo Sorrentos.

Perfect 50th birthday meal! Thank you to this restaurant for making my special day even better with a beautiful meal great atmosphere and brilliant service. The restaurant was busy but the staff went about their business efficiently with smiles on their faces ensuring everyone was happy and having a great time! For a party of 20 they made sure all meals arrived at the same time and every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The way the staff joined in with the singing and dancing to happy birthday was a lovely touch! One member of staff at the bar had some great dance moves! Haha a very warm and welcoming setting with a great menu! We shall definitely be returning!

We came here for a birthday meal, 3 adults and 2 young boys. Staff were so nice and friendly and took the time to talk to the boys which made their evening. Food was amazing, portion sizes were incredible. Definitely be back again.

We had afternoon tea here and it was lovely the soup and extra touches make this the best we've had as a group and was amazing value. The other food going past all looked/ smelled amazing. Don't sleep on this place. It was super quiet which is baffling as this is one of the best eateries in Wigan. Food was quick, fresh and very tasty. No frozen muck. Service was very friendly and prompt. We'll be back very soon! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing experience! It was a delightful surprise. The cozy, inviting atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, making great recommendations for both food and drinks! The dishes arrived really quickly, and each one was simply delicious. I could not recommend it enough!

Amazing food and wonderful staff. Restaurant is lovely. Marking atmosphere as 4* only due to how loud it was (which is to be expected) but I'm sensitive to noise and it affected my experience. Can't fault the staff, they were perfect. Whoever was working 5th Aug in the evening are awesome.

Lovely midweek carvery, food was hot and I managed to fill my plate full of veg, potatoes, meat and Yorkshire pudding! Stacey, Libby and Kelly provided great customer service and ensured everything was to a high standard .

All round a decent experience for a peak Sunday tea time. Food was good both from the kitchen and plentiful from the carvery. Desserts were mainly sold out by 1730 though so either go earlier or try and order with your mains. Service was good, and food delivered quickly. Pleasant enough experience to go again at some point.

Very lovely atmosphere, we have been here many times since is very close by. Food is great, especially the roast dinner. Large selection of sides and sauces. Shout out to Lucy who's very friendly and provided us with great service.

An excellent New Year’s Day meal this evening. The surroundings are perfect, and the restaurant is beautiful with everything wonderfully presented. Our food was superb—10 out of 10. The service from Jack was outstanding; he recommended excellent dishes and paced our meal perfectly. We will definitely be returning. A big thank you to Jack and all the staff at Albert’s Standish!

Our daughter’s 25th birthday, we’ve been a couple of times before, thoroughly enjoyed our evening! Mike T was our server, he looked after us really well, so friendly & helpful, a credit to Albert’s. The food was lovely, well cooked & tasty, although the duck spring roll was a little small for a starter, the ham hock terrine was yummy! Fish & chips was ample, as was my daughter’s Moules Frites! One of her favourite dishes, so a happy girl. Desserts were nice to finish off, although I do wish I’d had the profiterole, it looked really nice, my daughter said it was. This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest set menu Albert’s has offered. The atmosphere is fab & such a nice place to sit & chat whilst enjoying the lovely food. Came for a well expected meal and gallimores never disappointed. The host Howard and the matradee was happy and welcoming. The restaurant was busy and despite this, we had service that was personal and efficient. The food was outstanding. I had the rib eye steak and was far better than any steak I've had from steak hoses including the one on top of Parbold hill. I would definitely recommend and r eturn for another great meal

We had a steak deal, which at a tenner was great value. I had a beer so my wife had both wines. £4.80 for Stella in restaurant ain't too bad. Mushroom starter with homemade bread went down a treat. Not sure I would go a l carte as money is tight these days, but it's better value than 'spoons and really pleasant service.

Came here on a quiet Thursday evening. They had a fantastic offer on for Steak, chips & salad and a glass of wine for just £10! It was all delicious & nice wine as well. Will definitely go back

A lovely gastro pub with delicious food and great service. The only reason I didn't give 4* for atmosphere is I have hearing aids and everywhere people have piped music which makes listening to those I'm dining with difficult.

This wonderful pub serves quality wine and an array of quality drinks and cocktails. The food is excellent and the service is both friendly and attentive. On our latest visit, we tried the 'Chippy Tea' night and were not disappointed! Lots of chip shop favourites were on offer on the menu. The dishes were very well presented and all of them were absolutely delicious renditions of traditional chippy fare. Can't wait for the next one! The price was very reasonable and our spend included drinks before the meal, two bottles of wine with the meal and a nightcap at the end.

Ate here with my wife and son a few weeks ago. I found the food to be great and very tasty and the staff were very attentive. Great experience all round. We will definitely return
