Cannot praise Casa Carlos enough. Right from being greeted by the lovely Sophia the atmosphere was second to none. Feeling relaxing, comfortable and at home it took me back to my many times abroad visiting tapas bars certainly could have been anywhere but Wigan Town centre. We were offered drinks then later ordered our food at no time did we feel rushed and our personal requests were taken into consideration with no fuss. Oh my days the food was delicious and presented so well and good portions compliments to Callum the chef perfection on a plate! Deserts were delicious almost too nice to eat as they were presented so well. As we wrapped up our dining experience we all agreed we would definately be returning . Visited last night for the first time. Absolutely gorgeous food, lovely ambiance & excellent sangria. We chose 6 dishes between 2 of us and we couldn’t finish it all. The mussels special was delicious and the sauce was lovely with soft bread. Sophia makes an excellent Biscotti Cheesecake! No doubt we’ll be back.

Been wanting to eat here for some time . So brought up my mate from Liverpool who is an eating machine and also a top chef as I am a chef aswell. And my god did it deliver absolutely outstanding best street food we have ever had even as good as Michelin restaurant. Staff we great very knowledgeable we did try and eat the whole menu 😋 but we failed after 10 courses we nearly exploded, was great to see the chefs on display. Bloody great spot this, food is really creative and tasty, with VEGAN OPTIONS 🙏 We had the jackfruit gyozas, edamame beans and broccoli, all spot in. Reccomended!

We visited Asylum on the 30 December, and really glad we did. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. There was a warm welcome from the staff, who found us a nice table, and gave fantastic table service. The food was amazing, so fresh and reasonably priced. We had a selection off five or six dishes off the menu along with a bottle of prosecco, the big was £63 , which was such good value. I would recommend a visit either just for a nice drink or sample the amazing food!!

I’ve been to the Asylum a number of times and always great food, beer and atmosphere. Today I went with my wife and kids and we enjoyed the gyoza, beef brisket and the delicious curry hot dog. Staff are always friendly and the owners Martin and Paul are wonderful people. Highly recommended.

Modern restaurant, nice decor. Friendly and efficient staff. Quick service, both of drinks and food. I chose three tapas and that was easily enough for me. Probably best chorizo (with prawns) one that I have ever had, and that includes in Spain.

Lovely place, took my daughter for her birthday, she’s pescatarian and there was a good choice for her. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch which was really well cooked and pink as we like it. My daughter had the herb crusted cod which looked lovely, she cleared her plate. Wine was of good quality, all in all a brilliant place for a special occasion. Portions are very big and I couldn’t finish mine regretfully as it was delicious.

Excellent meal relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. There was a very good wide ranging selection of vegetarian meals which is very unusual but very appreciated. The quality of the neat and fish was also reported to be extremely good. We will definitely visit again

We had an amazing meal here both opting for the steak deal which was cooked to perfection for us, the pics probably don't do the food justice....the portions were great and could have managed without the starter of bread hummus and oil 😋.

We visited Juniper in December for a family meal. Their catering was excellent for our large party of 16. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were pleasant and attentive and all of our requirements were met. The restaurant has a special, elegant dining feel which made for a memorable occasion. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Juniper and look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!

Lovely evening dinner here tonight! Family of 7 of us all had 3 courses and was beautiful. Waitress was lovely and very attentive, good menu knowledge , drinks were topped up and overall very good service. Food was exceptional! Every bite was full of flavour and love! Good quality ingredients and every aspect of the dishes was done to perfection Best spot in Wigan and definitely worth the price

Juniper is a great little find - the food is excellent with a small but well balanced menu for all tastes. We ate lunch here and the food is very good value, 2 courses on the midweek lunch menu for £22. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. The venue is a lovely restored stone cottage with clean, contemporary decor, and an easy journey from M6 Jnct 27. Our waitress was professional and friendly, and managed all the covers in the front of the restaurant without fuss. Will definitely return.

Wow! What a find! A local restaurant that is so good I want to keep it a secret - but also want our local business to succeed. The chefs are great, the food is equally delicious. The menu is sensible and very well priced. The 3 course lunch is a bargain. Danni, our host/server/waitress was exceptionally good. We have been twice in just 3 weeks. It is that good.

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and we decided to have a dinner outside the home with the kids. The services were top notch. Daniella was awesome! The meals were so filling and the kids were happy. We will definitely be visiting again and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Just been for a family meal. Service was great . The food was outstanding. Garlic mushroom starters, goats cheese starter, and you definitely have to try the lamb chops. They really know how to cook a perfect steak also. The portions are very generous and the food is piping hot and full of flavour. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Melis Restaurant , and it was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion, and the food was absolutely fantastic—full of flavor and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to our amazing waitress, Daniela, who went above and beyond to make the evening truly special. She was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect for my party. Her warm and friendly service added so much to the celebration. Thank you, Daniela, and thank you, Melis, for making my birthday so wonderful! Highly recommend this place.

Amazing food and outstanding service. The waitresses were super polite and attentive. Courses were served quickly and everything tasted fantastic. We were entertained by a lovely lady doing a belly and swords dance. I'd definitely eat here again.

We’re sat here now having Christmas dinner. Couldn’t fault a thing. Excellent service, the students are a credit to the college. All 6 of us had a variety of starters, mains and desserts. All perfect and fantastic value for money.

We've been 4 or 5 times with various people and the food has been brilliant. Not just good for collage students... It's really good! You get a nice (and still cheap) meal and students get a chance to learn and work towards a future in catering.

We visited this week on Monday afternoon between 3-5pm to celebrate my nieces 21st birthday! We was staying away for the weekend nearby at the glamping pods & we found this place online! And it was easy to walk in and had plenty of tables The small plate menu was what attracted me to dine here and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely unbelievable! We had to thank the chef and ask him to come out because everything was perfect! The service was phenomenal, a lady called Louise was our host and she was the most welcoming and friendliest lady! We all ordered different small plates and sides for a 5 person table and felt it’s best share! Portions was huge, and all the food came out at the same time! We even ordered extra tacos because they was too nice!! Beautiful restaurant & atmosphere! Amazing prices & quality!! 10/10 restaurants & bar! Parking was also easy in the area for a main road, as there is a pub over the road called The Stag which has a parking meter, and it’s fairly affordable! And we went to the pub first for a drink to register free parking! Thanks everyone we had the best celebration here!! X

Was there last Friday for my wife's birthday 🎂 loved the pulled pork with loaded fryes will be comeing again try the pulled chicken 🐔 next time service was good freindly staff 10 out of 10

We recently had a family celebration for a special anniversary at Divino. The food was wonderful. Everything we ordered was so tasty. There were around 20 of us, and the service we received was excellent. The servers were friendly and efficient. My parents were so happy with how the evening went, and I have no doubt that we will visit at Divino again soon!

Went here for the first time today after a lovely walk and following recommendation from a friend. Food was delicious 😋 the only reason I've put 4 stars for the atmosphere is because there was hardly anyone in at the time we went. I would definitely go back 👌

We went for the first time tonight, kids had pizzas and myself and my wife had the most amazing mouth watering steaks. They really were top quality and cooked to perfection. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the service is top not we will be returning

First time at La Sentidos Loca, and definitely won’t be the last, had amazing service as soon as we stepped through the door, sharing nachos to start with Cluck and Moo burger and Slow cooked beef tacos, all fantastically presented and delicious. Food is well priced with a good prices drinks menu . Absolutely worth a visit

Lovely building and a really nice restaurant. The food was really nice with lots of flavours and colours like you would expect from a Mexican but my only critique is I like spicy food and asked for it to be hot but unfortunately it was very mild. Other than that we really enjoyed it

I had the beef chilli tacos, and wow, the portion was huge! The tacos had melted cheese, beef chilli, radishes and pink onions, all three were full of filling. There was nicely flavoured rice on the side too, and a side salad. The soured cream dip was nice too, coming from someone who doesn't like soured cream! It was only £13.75; great value for money. Service was fast and staff were polite. Good atmosphere too: every table got a sombrero!

Absolutely amazing food, went here on a whim after typing tacos near me on google. Did not disappoint, large portions and tastes amazing. If you like spicy food I suggest taking some hot sauce or asking for some as food is mild, but tastes amazing.

Me and my family very enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The food served was perfect, and atmosphere was very cosy, however only thing noticed was the temperature was slightly cold. overall, the service, food and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you!

Absolutely incredible food and service. I am a bit of pain and asked for something potentially awkward, the chef came out to speak to me and went above and beyond. The food was delicious. Never had that kind of experience before. Thoroughly recommend.
