Randomly chose this restaurant as a last minute birthday celebration for a friend. Food was actually remarkable, very impressed for the price list. Atmosphere and interior design was very relaxing. Service was quick, customer service was great. Cindy, our waitress, was very polite and pleasant.

We had the £10 lunch menu meal and I could say that's just about what it worth. Small pot of shin beef cottage pie with veg that was the best part of the meal, the cottage pie was full of fat. But the place was jam packed so maybe we were both unlucky as both of us a load of fat in the cottage pie. Tiny glass of wine was also included in the price. But £5.95 for a beer is where they make their money.

Very impressed, great food, lovely restaurant and the service was excellent. We had the £10 lunch offer which was really good value would definitely visit again.

We went here because of a recommendation and we are so glad we did. We have been twice now and it has been perfect on both occasions. Food absolutely superb, staff really professional and friendly. Fast service. Just brilliant. We have recommended it to others now too. Definitely one of our new favourites.

First time coming here since they changed to venue, very lovely inside, and a warm welcome! We ordered chicken ham and leek pie and a steak burger. The portions were big and the food was absolutely delicious. Hard to find chips that beat them. Great price too. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.

The food was beautifully presented to us and it was delicious! The staff was professional and welcoming. We loved the fact that they allow dogs inside too. Highly recommend this place. Will definately return to try other dishes. Keep up the great work that you are doing!

We held a 40th birthday party here at The Rivington. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had our own sweets cart and decorations for the cart which needed assembling and some table shuffling which was accommodated for, prior to the party without any issues. The function room was clean. Located on the upper floor with two flights of steps. Note : the Image is only the front bar area, there's more room and seating on the other side of the bar area. The toilets were clean with sink and hand dryers. Heated undercover smokers area. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. The food was hot and tasty. We had a great night thank you all.

Food is wonderful, service a little slow in parts but will be back. Will ask for the cosier area with the exposed brick wall next time as the other side has really harsh white lights with white walls. Not cosy or romantic at all. Very poor choice of non alcoholic drinks.

Excellent food and service. Came in during a quiet Wednesday evening and were quickly seated and served. The food was good and the portions reasonable. The staff were also on the ball regarding allergens.

Had a meal here a couple of weeks ago , the lamb chops were nice and cooked to my liking, the steak however was fatty and full of grissel , Also Frozen chips, and the lady forgot my side dish. It was brought as I was finishing my meal . (There was only one table in whom had already eaten the main meal so I don't understand the confusion. I had recommended this place as I used to go when I lived in the area and loved the side veg and home made chunky chips. The chips were frozen which I didn't eat as I don't eat frozen potatoes . Meal and a drink around 50 quid I've spent the same money for a lot better quality. No side of veg for the steak , No atmosphere I won't go again which is a shame as it used to be such a lovely place .

Absolutely brilliant food, service was 1st class as well. Great place to eat, would highly recommend this place. The gentleman that served up was outstanding.

We stay at this hotel twice a year when visiting family, and it has always been a comfortable and welcoming place. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, with Lydia and Irene standing out in particular. They even remembered us from our last visit and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is dog-friendly, which is a big plus for us. Although the decor is a little dated and some areas feel a bit worn, this is reflected in the cost, which is very reasonable. It’s always clean and well-maintained, so we really can’t complain. The breakfast is consistently good and the room service is fantastic. Even during holiday periods, the rates remain affordable. And the views across Bolton are a nice bonus. Thank you!

Stayed here numerous times now for work, and although I’m not there during the day, when I come back from work, the staff are all very welcoming and friendly, offering fantastic service, especially Katie who always offers service with a comforting smile and always seems to be everywhere at once and always goes above and beyond to make sure a stay here is as best as possible! also to Kim & Irene too, great service behind the bar and almost as if they both have a crystal ball and ready for what I want before I’ve even asked, fantastic service from start to finish, can’t recommend enough! Definitely one of the best/better hotels I have stayed in within recent time

Don't have experience of the rooms as here for work, however the staff go above and beyond and Julie is an absolute star! She has looked after us so well, ensuring we are comfortable throughout the 2 weeks and she always makes sure she comes to say hello 😊 hospitality is amazing

I have used this hotel many times to deliver corporate events and inductions and have always had a positive experience. The staff are always helpful and go out if their way to help. Julie and Lisa are stars. Highly recommend.

Went for Sunday lunch but I couldn’t resist the suet pudding, chips and seasonal veg. It was amazing. Not the traditional shaped pudding, came in an oval dish and it was just the best. Loads of soft beef and rich gravy. The chips are homemade chunky chips and are fantastic and the veg was well cooked. Everything piping hot. My husband had the beef Sunday lunch and enjoyed it but I do not regret my choice. I keep thinking about that pudding!!

Great pub/restaurant with great choice of beers and lovely food. Proper cooked food, none of the usual frozen rubbish some places churn out! Pet friendly area, too, for dining or just calling in for a pint or two!

Veg pie and mash was okay. Mash was a bit bland with extra charge for gravy. Desserts were good and seemed to be freshly made. We felt a bit rushed even though we'd been given a time slot, but then moved to another table

Really kind and helpful staff and a great, superb value for money Sunday roast. The fact you can take the dog after walking around Walker Fold is a massive plus point. Only one negative was the roast potatoes need to be improved. 3 times I have had a roast here and every time they were hard, dry and almost inedible. Everything else on the roast was perfect though and the beef and pork was to die for. Definitely worth a visit, I just hope the roasties improve :)

5* across the boa4d. Went Thursday lunchtime, table for 6 of us, ordered Sea Bass, Burgers Gammon and Smothered Chicken. Didn't have to wait too long, served piping hot, delicious and filling. Good menu too. Great, prompt and courteous service. We would return.

We like coming here for a hot chocolate after swimming lessons… The kids usually go for the pancakes with berries. Breakfast with Santa was nice too, they each got reindeer food, colouring sheets and crackers and were seated in front of a nice cosy log fire then got to meet Santa individually.

Its very cosy! Unfortunately temperatures had started dropping so we could not enjoy the inviting outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly and the food was tasty

The food is good. We have been coming here for our special dates for over a year. After we got married we came here with our immediate family for a meal. And it was an obvious choice for our anniversary. The staff are great and it's a nice atmosphere.

🎄CHRISTMAS DAY AT EWE🎄 I celebrated Christmas with my family at Ewe for my first ever Christmas dinner out, and it was perfect! The team welcomed us warmly, with exceptional service throughout our visit. The venue looked magical, fully decked with festive decor and a stunning Christmas tree. The food was nothing short of amazing. From the fresh prawn cocktail and perfectly prepared beetroot carpaccio to a juicy turkey dinner served with generous portions, every bite impressed. Desserts were an absolute dream, with my chocolate and cherry delice being the perfect sweet finale, creamy and rich. With Santa hats, crackers, and coffee served with homemade mince pies, the festive touches were endless. We rounded out our day sipping Prosecco by the tree after our meal, which was everything I could’ve hoped for. We have visited Ewe twice and both times really enjoyed the food. Last night was particularly good and we couldn’t fault anything. We were really happy to see our favourite dessert sticky toffee pudding still on the menu as we had it last year and it’s honestly the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever tried. (Please do not remove this off the menu we will be very sad) The steak was cooked to perfection, cabbage and bacon was lovely and the cauliflower cheese was to die for. Staff all lovely and friendly looking forward to visit again :)
