“Popped in here for breakfast while our car charge. Excellent breakfast menu with amazing vegan options, very tasty juices and great coffee. Left feeling full and well watered and bought some sweet treats for later. Very much worth checking out.”

The Sun Inn

“Went for my birthday. Had a lovely carvery. One negative was that when they collected the plates, they asked if we wanted more drinks which we did but never asked if we wanted a dessert. Initially thought that maybe they were giving us a bit of time after the carvery but 50 minutes passed and other surrounding tables arriving after us were all asked. In the end, we decided to just pay up and leave. Hence the reason for a docked mark on service. A downer on what was supposed to be a celebration meal.”

“What a wonderful experience visiting the Seven Stars Inn Wool, Moreton, Dorchester restaurant. The food was first class cooked with love and care by a really good head chef and his brigade. Couldn't fault the food in any way what so ever good flavours, textures and presented very well. A really great dining experience which I will remember for a long time. The front of house staff very very friendly, professional providing a great service to compliment the kitchen Definitely worthy of a 5 star review and I would definitely recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant and I hope I will be back here myself.”

“I was staying close by at a holiday park, and searched for somewhere kid friendly to eat for dinner. The Black Dog is a lovely pub, which is warm and inviting on the inside, with a lovely playground and seating outside. Food was absolutely delicious! Was the best lamb chop dinner I've had in a long time! Everyone enjoyed their dinner and puddings, so much so we've added this place to our favourite's list! Very kid and dog friendly! We will definitely be back again!”

“Fabulous gastro pub. We enjoyed the food so much we went there for a second evening whilst staying overnight locally. Really good value for money with generous portion sizes 😁 If you have the fish Friday, which includes a drink, you need to ask, which ones are included before ordering. We didn't realize that at the time and ordered drinks that weren't included.”

“Busy local pub restaurant. Booking required. Easy online booking. We both had pies. One had the chicken pie which was full of meat. I had the vegetarian veg pie. Very tasty and they didn't make the common mistake of over compensating the flavour with salt and pepper. Good veg. Our own jugs of gravy so could decide how much we wanted, which in our case is a lot. Dessert choice good and good portion size. I couldn't finish my chocolate mousse which is a rare occurrence. My husband mentioned it was our anniversary and we were given some fizz, a nice touch. Served by a pleasant young man. Overall a great experience.”

“Probably one of the best carverys I've had. Large portion size, quality food in a lovely country pub with a good atmosphere. Pool table and play park for the kids available. Was very busy so would recommend booking ahead. They have gluten free options available.”
