Everything was amazing. Between 2 of us we had almost all of the dumpling dishes because they were so good. The staff are brilliant & the drinks were exceptional too. Could not recommend it more.

What a little gem this place is, decor was very cozy and very well done, food was outstanding, lovely cocktails, nice selection of wine, owners and there team were friendly and on hand to assist with any queries, can't recommend this little gem of a restaurant any higher. We will return

Came here during our bank holiday weekend escape from London, and what a gem it turned out to be. It’s tucked away in a little alleyway but easy to find. We were seated in the downstairs bar area which has a mix of high and low seating, with just the right balance of cozy and charming. I didn’t catch our waiter’s name but I believe he’s one of the managers. His service was impeccable from start to finish. We loved all the food but the charred pork belly is a must try. You can truly taste how much love goes into every dish. We got to have a chat with the chef, Brendan. His warmth and passion for his craft shone through, making us feel incredibly welcome. The folks at Dorshi genuinely care about and love what they do, and that made for an amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Every now and then, you actually have a recommendation that is actually perfect .went into the pursuit of hoppiness in the high Street bridport git chatting to the barman about food his first place was the dorshi hidden up a alleyway beside the bull pub .so went over to look found a great little Asian mix restaurant booked a table for 7.30 .when we arrived we were greeted but a friendly face and the chef who's cooking by the door .so we started with a local beer and saki .food wise we had dumplings with pork and ginger and steamed dumplings pepper chicken then the angry pig bowl then soy bean salad .and finished with steamed shiitake mushroom dumplings. WOW 👌 that's all I'm saying .chef your underpaid all the staff are excellent. Go here you will not be Disappointed. 🙂

Had lunch here after walking on the coastal path. Slightly inland walk from the coast but worth it. Had Chicken Caesar Salad with ice cream for dessert. The chicken was moist, tender, and tasty. Service was relaxed and friendly. Nice clean decors with indoor and outdoor flow. Was initially worried that the place was closed due to the Google maps timings but it actually opens from 12 pm, not close at 12 pm.

Olive Tree
59 East St, Bridport DT6 3LB, UK | Seafood Restaurant P: 01308 422882
Rating: 4.7 (647) Price Level:
Rating: 5 / 5
The best service we have experienced in a restaurant in ten years. Our host was happy to alter how my wife's fish was cooked to reduce the seasoning. Her Sea Bream and my seafood medley were prepared with excellent produce to a superb standard and well sized. Our lad was very happy with an excellent authentic pizza. Table service was quick, polite yet not at all overbearing. In summary, excellent seafood, very well prepared, attractively presented with understated yet world class service to match. We couldn't recommend more highly
Rating: 5 / 5
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We went there for the spectacular and it was everything the name suggests and more, it was absolutely spectacular! The seafood was cooked to perfection and the taste was absolutely amazing. My son had the cabonara and said it was the best food he has tasted ever! We then finished our meal off with their raspberry cheesecake which was creamy and so fresh. We will definitely be back even if it’s a 3 hour drive from home, would drive all that way for that meal all over again. Great value for money and the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much Olive Tree we will see you again.

This is a great place for seafood. The pizzas are nice too - they have a pizza oven. I recommend the catch of the day. It comes with a nice butter sauce and a nice selection of steamed veg, slightly different than usual, which was quite lovely. If you like mussels, the seafood spectacular is the one to go for. I also enjoyed the fish soup. Attentive service and nice atmosphere. It’s nice either for lunch or dinner. I’ve found, if I just walk in, I won’t be guaranteed a table because it’s quite popular. Best to call ahead and book.

We visited here last night with family, and I have to say it was an absolute gem. Roasted Hake was the catch of the day and it was divine. A brilliant combination of excellent food, friendly service, and all very reasonable pricewise. we very much appreciated the picture taken, including the bonus selfie 😂 Looking forward to coming back again sometime soon.

A stellar experience. Lovely service from the team, who clearly are passionate about what they do. The steak I had was maybe the best I have ever been served - a lovely cut and cooked perfectly. Just a great experience.

Went for a Mexican and half price cocktails on a Wednesday evening. Mexican is cooked in a van in the car park, but served in the bar/conservatory - excellent food (real cutlery but takeaway boxes).

Absolutely amazing roast and I’ve eaten a lot of roasts!! Huge portions and the meal included cauliflower cheese at no extra cost. Lovely pub garden in a beautiful little village. Golden Cap on a nearby so I’d recommend a long walk along the gorgeous Jurassic coast followed by a roast at this gem of a pub

Great food, fantastic service and really well priced. A kids meal for £8 with dessert and a drink is great value.

The best roast I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Beautifully presented, perfectly cooked roast pork.

I can firmly recommend this restaurant. We came here for a dinner and were very surprised. Everything was exceptionally tasty and very well decorated. Service was fast, the waitresses were all friendly. The food took a while but the place was full. We sat in the dog friendly garden. We had three starters to share, prawns, the cauliflower and BBQ pulled pork. Especially the cauliflower was awesome. To the point. Lots of spices, great sauce, spicy. The fries were crisp even covered with sauce. We then shared the fish curry. Another surprise. Also spicy, the rice was perfect, crisp vegetables and a delightful sauce over the shrimps, the fish and the mussels which were outstanding huge. The prices for such high quality are very OK. The negative reviews could be explained by the season. We were told that during summer vacation the near campground is flooded with people who then also flood this place.

What a find! So glad we decided to go off the beaten track. We were warmly greeted by a lovely lady and a young lad behind the bar (sorry we didn’t get your names!). We had the fish pie and steak and ale pie with red wine. Could not fault it! Absolutely superb food, clearly home made and not out of the freezer! With the mains to such a high standard, we decided to go for a pudding too, although we were both full from the very generous mains portions. We had sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge brownie, both with ice-cream. Again, outstanding quality! We can’t recommend The New Inn highly enough. Good car park and dog friendly.
Rating: 4 / 5
Lovely quaint little pub, staff were super friendly and helpful, lots of drinks to choose from and very accommodating for a large party with kids and dogs, food was a mixed bag across the table, some dishes were good and others could've been better. Menu's were on chalk boards so you can't tell they cycle the menu. I would go again.

Andrea 10/10 fabulous landlady, bar staff 10/10 made you feel so welcome as soon as you stepped in the pub. Fantastic food once again, Andrea is a marvellous chef. Went back the 2nd night basically because the food and atmosphere was incredibly. Lesley and Richard (brown sauce)

My sister and myself walked to this pub from Hive Beach, as soon as we stepped through the door we felt welcomed. We were met by the man at the bar who happily sorted out us having our food earlier and was attentive both with drinks and coming out to us for more information on the table. We both ordered a roast dinner, sitting in their beautiful garden area with plenty of seating, the vibe was lovely, even though it was an Easter Sunday you could tell the people their were a mixture of locals and tourist which is nice. Our food, as you can see from the pictures did not disappoint in size, but most importantly with flavour, the waitresses were again attentive, friendly and polite! I don't often give reviews but when you find a local spot like this, they deserve it :)

We have been meaning to go to The Loders Arms for some time now after hearing such amazing things since the new owners have taken over. We travelled 40 minutes to get there and we were not disappointed, what a fantastic place and well with the trip. The owners are so lovely and accommodating and the pub itself is stunning and the attention to detail can be seen all around the place. We felt so welcome and the place itself has such a lovely vibe and atmosphere, we didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for a first class experience, we would highly recommend and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

The village is very quaint and quiet but the pub was busy when we arrived. Always an encouraging sign! We didn’t feel uncomfortable when we walked in which can sometimes be off putting when you try a new place and everyone turns to look at you! We were looking for a light lunch for two adults, there was a good selection of drinks on tap and a small but well curated wine list. We ate buck rarebit and croque monsieur. Both served with watercress salad. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Sadly we ran out of time for pudding. We can’t wait to return.
Rating: 5 / 5
What a lovely find . . Beautiful village location and an adorable property The bar area, a rural rustic feel to look effortless but you can tell with the amount of detail, this has had a lot of thought. Check out the optics ! The menu intrigued the taste buds and the delivery was beyond expectations . Absolutely delicious, so thoughtfully put together. Ignore the out dated 1 or 2 star reviews. They do not relate to the currently run establishment. A lovely little gem to be found, enjoyed and quietly recommended !!

We had booked for the restaurant but having a dog unexpectedly. with us we were politely shifted to the pub, with a warm glowing fireplace which we loved. The food was delicious, pork belly cassoulet for me and an elaborate reworking of Cauliflower Cheese for my friend, and then we both had Profiteroles with Xmas pud ice cream which was amazing.Lovely meal and such a good atmosphere. Very special.
