The village is very quaint and quiet but the pub was busy when we arrived. Always an encouraging sign! We didn’t feel uncomfortable when we walked in which can sometimes be off putting when you try a new place and everyone turns to look at you! We were looking for a light lunch for two adults, there was a good selection of drinks on tap and a small but well curated wine list. We ate buck rarebit and croque monsieur. Both served with watercress salad. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Sadly we ran out of time for pudding. We can’t wait to return.

We had booked for the restaurant but having a dog unexpectedly. with us we were politely shifted to the pub, with a warm glowing fireplace which we loved. The food was delicious, pork belly cassoulet for me and an elaborate reworking of Cauliflower Cheese for my friend, and then we both had Profiteroles with Xmas pud ice cream which was amazing.Lovely meal and such a good atmosphere. Very special.

What a lovely find . . Beautiful village location and an adorable property The bar area, a rural rustic feel to look effortless but you can tell with the amount of detail, this has had a lot of thought. Check out the optics ! The menu intrigued the taste buds and the delivery was beyond expectations . Absolutely delicious, so thoughtfully put together. Ignore the out dated 1 or 2 star reviews. They do not relate to the currently run establishment. A lovely little gem to be found, enjoyed and quietly recommended !!

We have been meaning to go to The Loders Arms for some time now after hearing such amazing things since the new owners have taken over. We travelled 40 minutes to get there and we were not disappointed, what a fantastic place and well with the trip. The owners are so lovely and accommodating and the pub itself is stunning and the attention to detail can be seen all around the place. We felt so welcome and the place itself has such a lovely vibe and atmosphere, we didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for a first class experience, we would highly recommend and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

My husband said this was the best roast he'd ever had in a pub and I don't disagree. The roast meat was itself delicious as well as all the trimmings. Good price as well. Pub itself has a lovely cosy atmosphere and service was spot on. Shame we were only in Dorset for the weekend as we would definitely visit again.

Visited while on holiday. The food was faultless and full of flavour. Great portions! We chose to have the prawn cocktail starter instead of a main as we liked the look of the syrup sponge and we were quite surprised when it came and it was the size of a main anyway. The pie was humongous and came with carrots, peas, green beans, cabbage and broccoli!!! The staff were also very polite and attentive. Great pub, highly recommended. Oh and also real onion rings, mmmmmm

Food was absolutely faultless, perfectly prepared and cooked hearty meals. Very accommodating and welcoming. I didn't get pictures but I can guarantee you will not regret eating here or stopping off to enjoy a pint.

This place is a little Gem! Great food, good prices and great choice of different beers. Always very friendly staff and feels like you've walked in a pub from 20 years ago very authentic feel. And they have some awesome fish tanks.

Gorgeous lunch with truly delicious food. We shared lots of the starters - standouts were the potted crab & lobster with soda bread & the cod roe's pate with focaccia slices. Then mains were all tasty but not as exciting as starters. To finish the treacle tart was one of the best I have ever tasted. The waiter was great and the gorgeous weather and view made it a perfect long lunch on Saturday. Would recommend to anyone who wants super fresh & local seafood and produce.

I can't comment on the accommodation as I only went here to dine - but, everything about the experience was really good! From the outside the building is neat, but not dramatic, but from inside the views are outstanding and the place is spotless. There's a very creative menu with excellent flavours, a good bar and lounge, and some of the nicest staff you'll ever encounter.
