Best Sunday lunch ever. Friendly staff and our waitress Jess in particular was lovely and very accommodating. Have told all our friends and family about the amazing roast dinners. Perfect for children and four legged friends. Thank you for a helping us spend our Sunday in the best way ♥️

Lovely pub with friendly and welcoming staff. Ample drinks on offer and beautiful beer garden. We shared some of the snacks from the menu and they were all delicious! Highly recommend the croquettes and ploughman's board. Cozy snug area and the landlady will happily start a fire in the huge fireplace. We will be back whenever we are in the area, which will hopefully be soon! Your Welshie friends x

Visited the pub as a group of 8 friends, the staff were friendly, helpful and worked together well as a team. The pub is beautifully rustic, a nice old country pub with a lounge bar, bar area and restaurant. Nicely decorated with lovely flagstone floors and a raging fire in the lounge. They have a good selection of drinks and varied menu. For pub grub the food was next level, personally I had the beef shin ragu which was absolutely delicious. Overall, loved it, I just wish it was my local instead of being 3 hours away! Well done guys.

We rang up after we had been recommend and we were so pleased! Sunday lunch was delicious, beef perfectly done and my veggie nut roast was perfect. Lovely seasonal veg, will be returning soon! Thanks so much

I visited for a Sunday carvery with my family and from the moment we stepped through the front door everything was spot on. The service is impeccable and the food superb. What made the service extra special was that my mother was sadly unable to be there at the last minute, however the Pen Mill staff were amazing and arranged a takeway caevery meal plated up even with a pot of gravy. We took it back home and my mother was extremely grateful. A brilliant piece of customer service which was the cherry on an already delicious cake. Well done to everyone.

Stopped for carvery by chance after shopping, and the staff were very helpful. They fitted us In last minute. Carvery was the best we've had in a long time. Very hot and cooked to perfection . The pub is located on the main road with plenty of parking spaces nearby. We went to have dinner to celebrate my birthday and we were pleased with our choice. They've prepared a birthday card on the table for me. The food was delicious , we can definitely recommend the burgers and the sweet potato fries. Excellent choice in Yeovil!

Fantastic!! Had a little bit of a wait but that's cause we caught the lunch rush. Don't let that stop you though, grab a drink at the bar inside while you wait. Their bloody mary is one of the best I've had at a restaurant 💯. Food was amazing and I look forward to trying more of their dishes. P.S. if you've never had poutine it is devine and theirs is spot on. Savory beef gravy and cheese curds on top of fresh French fries, do yourself a favor and get an order!

Absolutely thee most polite staff we had staying a week in Nashville,food was awesome,and it was thee cheapest out of all the restaurants we went to,the guy who waited on us was phenomenal,wasn't loud,very clean, biggest biscuits I've seen in years,crispiest hashbrowns,eggs were absolutely perfectly cooked

Definitely worth a stop before or after visiting the home of Old Hickory at the Hermitage. Breakfast all day was a big plus for me. Over medium eggs cooked to perfection. The biscuit was one of the best I have eaten. The “diner breakfast” was plenty for me and a bargain at $11.

We visited on a weekday. We chose this pub over others in the village because of the reviews and because the food looked good value. There was one bartender on quite a busy lunchtime. She was good humored and efficient, taking drink and food orders, and delivering the food to the tables. We ordered our food and took drinks out to the garden at the back. Our food soon arrived despite being warned it might be a time. Simple fare, but generous portions. I ordered ham, egg and chips. The ham was delicious, three thick slices cut from a ham leg. Not the normal plastic ham in a prepacked plastic container. My partner had Nachos with a vegetarian chili. She enjoyed it. After lunch we walked around the village and came back for another pint before leaving on the bus. Good collection of beers including a local beer brewed in the village The pub has music events as well.

Came in on the off chance, staff were very warm and welcoming, food was delicious and good value for money, My husband loved the homemade tartar sauce. Did use the facilities the toilet clean and fresh. Will definitely pop in again whenever we are in Cerne abbas. The place was bright and light and spacious

We booked to go for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and hot. Vegetables cooked to perfection. Cosy setting and quiet atmosphere even though fairly busy which we like. Staff friendly and attentive. Recommend.

Went for a Mexican and half price cocktails on a Wednesday evening. Mexican is cooked in a van in the car park, but served in the bar/conservatory - excellent food (real cutlery but takeaway boxes).

Really well looked after when they were busy with a birthday tea party. Delicious cream tea in a beautiful garden. Excellent staff. Made really welcome. Looks a pleasant place to stay too.

A lovely place which such an amazing team! We were well looked after celebrating our first wedding anniversary and the crispy lionsmane mushroom dish at the restaurant was one of the best I have ever had! We had the most perfect stay.

A stellar experience. Lovely service from the team, who clearly are passionate about what they do. The steak I had was maybe the best I have ever been served - a lovely cut and cooked perfectly. Just a great experience.

Went for our staff Christmas meal. It was extremely busy but food and service were still excellent. Highly recommend.

Good menu choices. Clear what is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Competitive pricing. Clean and organised. Attentive staff. Pizza, calzone and risotto good, and mozzarella garlic bread. Tried cocktails, very good and Rose wine. Family friendly. Accessible street entrance. Good space inside. Local parking but no car park with restaurant but it is fairly central.

This place is by far the best Italian in Yeovil. A friendly welcome when we arrived and when led to our table you could see how clean the restaurant was, lovely decor. A wide selection of dishes on the menu and Peroni on tap. Food was fantastic and well presented, we all had starters and mains and were pleasantly full. The facilities were very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Defenatily will be returning.

This was our first time at Castello's and we were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious food and great service. Plenty of dishes on the menu to choose from and not too expensive either. If you are looking for great food and atmosphere, with great service, go to Castello's. This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Yeovil!

We had a lovely one night stay at this independent hotel. The hotel is very quirky and really well thought out with lovely touches all around. I took my 2 children and they loved playing in the big garden and our room was very spacious with a huge bed and double sofa bed. The bar is really cosy and the food at dinner and breakfast was really lovely. All the staff were very welcoming and the resident cat was a huge hit with my daughters. The location was perfect for us, just a 5 minute drive to Sherborne but in a quiet village location. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.

This hotel is absolutely stunning! The pictures do not do it justice. The hotel is charming, beautiful, unique, vintage and quirky. There is lots to see around the hotel and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We booked for the festive getaway deal which was an amazing price for all it included, we upgraded our room prior to arriving and on arrival got told we were upgraded again for free which was a wonderful surprise. Our room was absolutely beautiful! The hotel was very peaceful and the food and drinks were delicious. Our room and the hotel was very clean. We absolutely love the friendly, cute hotel cat Neptune!! Breakfast didn't come with all items included on the menu (we didn't get any potatoes, mushrooms or tomatoes like stated) they also hadn't had their delivery of bacon so breakfast seemed a little chaotic, but other than that everything was perfect, staff were friendly and attentive and we absolutely cannot wait to come back and stay here again! I highly recommend this hotel, really beautiful and peaceful and great value for money.

We booked the private dining room for a Reunion. So impressed. Great food, lovely public rooms, impeccable friendly service. And very reasonable price.

Small plates, order at least 3 each and share, great selection and good quality. Dog friendly every where in the restaurant. I found it a bit complicated, it's a bit like Spanish Tapas and our total bill was around £70 it soon mounts up.

What a surprise treat! I visited this restaurant with family when staying in the area for a weekend away, and what a gorgeous find this was! Situated right in the heart of Sherborne (which is a charming town to visit regardless) this restaurant was just fabulous. The menu was fab, tapas dishes inspired by Italy but using West Country produce - what's not to love! Staff were friendly and accommodating, the drinks selection was vast and impressive and the food quality was truly 10/10. Would definitely be back if I lived closer! This place gets very busy over weekend so definitely book in advance, and also would recommend arriving for an earlier sitting rather than later before it gets too busy.

An incredible meal at the plume! We were turned away from another restaurant despite having a reservation, but when we came to the Plume they were happy to help and sat us promptly. The meal was absolutely delicious and filled us up nicely. We had 6 dishes between 4 adults and were stuffed! The service was great and the atmosphere was so lovely.

Lovely late lunch. Quality food and friendly, accommodating staff. The outside looks fairly drab and some of the Italian signage is slightly incongruous (are Wadsworths synonymous with Italian dining? No), but don't be put off, the inside is far, far better with modern styling in a traditional setting. Not cheap but where is these days.

went for a birthday meal food was amazing, decor was eccentric, staff were friendly and lovely to speak to the food did take a while to arrive due to issues in the kitchen on the day but the staff apologised and explained this seeing the animals in the fields outside after the meal was a nice surprise overall highly recommend

Had lunch here and it was excellent! The carrot cake and chai tea are 5* worthy alone; everything else is a bonus! Décor is fabulous, as is the location. Service was a little slow but it's August and expected tbh... Staff really friendly

Lovely ambience. Food was well portioned. Food was average. Wings could be seasoned better. The fish batter was crispy. Pulled pork sandwich was good.
