“Absolutely amazing roast and I’ve eaten a lot of roasts!! Huge portions and the meal included cauliflower cheese at no extra cost. Lovely pub garden in a beautiful little village. Golden Cap on a nearby so I’d recommend a long walk along the gorgeous Jurassic coast followed by a roast at this gem of a pub”

“My husband booked a table for my birthday and can honestly say we weren’t disappointed, chef went off menu for me and made me a linguine which was delicious and my husband had the duck which he thoroughly enjoyed - thank you very much”

“We arrived at 11.20, just in time to order breakfast. We were lucky to get the table on the edge of the 'tent' overlooking the beach. Despite being quite busy we received very efficient service. The food arrived within 15- 20 min, then our hot drinks. We had 3 x full English and egg Benedict on muffin with bacon. Everyone enjoyed it. The only nuisance were a few wasps but not a lot to spoil our experience.”

“Gorgeous lunch with truly delicious food. We shared lots of the starters - standouts were the potted crab & lobster with soda bread & the cod roe's pate with focaccia slices. Then mains were all tasty but not as exciting as starters. To finish the treacle tart was one of the best I have ever tasted. The waiter was great and the gorgeous weather and view made it a perfect long lunch on Saturday. Would recommend to anyone who wants super fresh & local seafood and produce.”
