After my 35 year old Golf Clipper broke down on my drive, Alex personally attended to make an initial diagnosis which suggested a faulty distributor and blocked fuel lines. Breakdown delivered the car to his workshop in Weybridge, where Alex rebuilt the distributor using a kit from VW Heritage and cleared the fuel lines. After the repairs, Alex returned the car to me. Throughout the process, Alex kept me updated on progress of parts availability and diagnosis going well beyond your standard garage communication. When I first started the car the next day, it fired up roaring into life in a fashion last heard some 25 years ago. Fantastic work by Alex at Grove, car drives like new again. Brilliant.
