I have used SMD/Steve for several years now, with jobs ranging from rewiring part of the house, Alarm installation, Swimming pool house wiring and pump installation, lighting, fuse box replacement, outside water features and garden lighting systems...and many more but to keep the review short, ill leave it there. There is nothing electrical that seems to faze Steve, the work is always exceptional, the price always clear to understand and fair and I trust his workmanship completely....Highly recommended.

I have used Steve for many years. Always returns telephone calls, turns up at the agreed time, explains what needs to be done and completes the work without fuss. Have recommended numerous times.

We have used SMD (Steve!) electrical services on several occasions over the past few years for both internal work (installing sockets, switches, light fittings, circuit integrity check) and outdoor work ( renewing patio lights, garden cabling, driveway and security lights). Recently required Jake's services to perform a full EICR safety inspection, replace a fusebox consumer unit and complete remedial work from EICR findings (across two separate visits). This is the second and third time I've used Jake's services and would highly recommend him to others. He is conscientious and thorough in his approach to work and completing work to a high standard. Arek is a great electrican and I would highly recommend him. I have found him to be very precise and proactive. He asks lots of questions to ensure he has all the information needed so less issues are encountered later - often a rarity with electricians I have had before. He is an great problem solver and very knowledgeable.

We had an issue with some of the electrical sockets and wiring after it was overloaded. I called Arek and he was able to come very promptly to look at the issue. He inspected everything very thoroughly and was able to fix the issue as well as other issues he found after inspection. He charged a reasonable amount for the work he did and left everything very tidy. I will definitely be using Arek again in the future and would recommend him to anyone!

I came home from my holiday to find that my roof had leaked and some of the electrics had been affected. So just to be safe I asked Rowland of Brightlights solutions if he could do an electrical survey to make sure nothing was seriously wrong with the electrics and to make sure it was all safe. Rowland himself was extremely busy as electricians are but he sent round his colleague Garth instead. Garth was extremely well mannered and knowledgeable. He worked very quietly and quickly. He even has indoor shoes in order to keep your floors clean which was very unexpected but a really nice touch. Rowland and Garth are both excellent electricians who have worked on our first house 8 years ago and then this month on our latest house. After 20 yrs and countless useless ‘professionals’, I finally found a company that identified why my electric bill was so high. The probes for our underfloor heating hadn’t been installed correctly.
