We have had Matt do an array of electrical work in the house and garden on several projects- he is prompt, tidy, and very professional. Polite and kind but does not waste time talking instead of working. Good follow up work if there are any issues, regardless of if they were a product of his work or not.

Matt was super helpful installing my EV Charger, he advised me I would need to speak with UK Power Networks to arrange a 100A fuse upgrade which they did FOC as he explained. From the start of the process requesting a quote to having the EV Charger installed, which involved the 100A fuse upgrade and new tails installed by electric supplier took about 3 weeks. During this time I stayed in touch with Matt to keep him up to speed and always got timely, polite, friendly replies. I hadn't researched EV Chargers to the point where I knew which would be the best balance between price and performance, Matt asked me a few questions about this and said he would be able to select one that would be appropriate. When he came to install the EV Charger he made sure I was happy with the location by sending pictures to confirm where I wanted it mounted on the wall and when he had finished there was zero mess. EV Charger works well and have had no issues. Matt is now my go to for any electrical work I need done, as I like to use people I can trust both for the work and for quoting fair price. Would highly recommend.

I was very satisfied with the service and their speed, communication and punctuality to attend and sort my lights out. I would only suggest to inform about the pricing as I found it a bit higher than I expected. Good provider for large works but for small works like changing a switch I would probably use a bit cheaper options. But as I mentioned, the job was done quick and efficient.

I popped in just to look at spotlights the manager Mathew was really helpful switched all the lights off in the shop and helped me choose suitable down lights for my cottage , this level of service is really rare nowadays and so nice , he is an asset to CEF and for this reason I will use CEF in the future.

Lewis fitted a new circuit for an induction hob in our home. His communication was superb for both the quote (answering several questions that we had) and for the works. The work was completed efficiently and the cabling looks very neat. Hopefully we won't need any more electrical work for a while, but if/when we do, Lewis will be the first electrician that we call.

Lewis did two jobs for me. Fixed and moved sockets in my bedroom. He did an excellent job, cleaned up, came in time and stuck to his quotes. Really pleased with his work. So a couple of months later I needed three new ceiling lights fitted and again he came on time, did good work, cleaned up and was good to his word about the quote. He did an excellent job again. Really pleased and would recommend him to friends and would use him again.

Lewis has been fantastic throughout. The standard of his work has been impeccable and his communication has been great too. He’s always on time and delivers exactly what he says, when he says. I have already recommended his services to friends of mine and he’ll be my first port of call for any work in the future.

I'd arranged for Sell Electrical to come out to my property to fix 3 issues that I had with sockets and erroneous spurs. The engineer Neil arrived exactly on the stroke of 10am as arranged, and he quickly understood what was required. He was very polite and disruption to the household was minimal. Any dust or mess was cleared up efficiently on completion of the work, plus I was given a full explanation of the what he had needed to do. It's unusual to work with tradesmen who don't suck their teeth in and shake their head when the required work is shown to them, and then explain how the job is so much bigger than was initially thought. I was completely satisfied with the service provided by Lewis, who was able to identify the problem in a methodical manner. It turned out that a fox had chewed on the outdoor electric cables to the garden, causing the house to lose light, and to bring the heating to a standstill. But Lewis was able to fix it all within a speedy 45 minutes. I highly recommend this electrician.

Lewis is good value and works relatively quickly. The garage board he put in does the job and the consumer unit now better protects the house. His wiring is tidy and everything looks to be terminated well. It's a shame that he was unable to entirely fix the issue with the downstairs sockets. As it stands I have had to pull the end of a TWE wire out of a socket in order to get everything to work, which is a bit scary but I'm pretty sure it isn't live. If it's putting something in for the first time or sorting a problem you already understand, Lewis is an excellent choice.

Our fuse board was a mess, upside down and in the most awkward a place, we got turned down by 3 london companies when asking to re fit it, then maclaren electrical come to have a look and I thought it was going to be the same but no, connor took the job on instantly without any fuss and just got it done. For a business like ourselves that’s been established since 1976 we have used dozens of electrical firms for all sorts of work. From pac testing, to fill re wires and always been left short with satisfaction. Well that’s until we found maclaren electrical and owner connor. The service was better than any we’ve had with any trades that we have used over the years, he went over and beyond what we asked him to do in visit one and since he’s fixed so many things that other companies had clearly poorly done over the years. I couldn’t recommend Connor and his team enough and I’m actually trying to find things I want done electric wise just to get the boys back in as I I’m so impressed with the whole firm and what they provide.
