I was invited to my friend's wedding party and she chose Crama Romaneasca as her wedding venue. The place was amazing, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was good and various options.

First going going here in a few years and I have been missing out! Absolutely gorgeous food and setting. We sat in the side dining area near the fire and it was just amazing. The staff were attentive, friendly and polite. Was a perfect visit, thank you.

Lovely ambience, good food but could do with a little more care as to seasoning and was very busy. We did go at Christmas time so would easily attribute both minor points to the business. Lovely staff

One of the best pub lunches and experiences I’ve had in a very long time. This pub is superb. Not enough superlatives to describe it. The pub is lovely, really nice laid back, traditional pub but with a modern feeling. Very spacious and lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The outdoor area is huge and covered, with plenty of heaters. Ideal for larger groups. The food is amazing. Had the roast beef Sunday lunch, genuinely one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a very long time. Superb. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A bit on the expensive side but well worth the money. Highly recommended

It was a delight and the food was amazing. We had the special winter starters, kids menu, tuna steak and salmon followed by sweet puddings and cheese selection. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous New Year’s Eve meal & evening. The quality of our food was excellent. Despite how busy they were the staff were calm, friendly and efficient. The quality and taste of our food was amazing. Well worth the money. We discovered a lovely white wine with orange notes too. A first for us.

Love this restaurant. It is so easy no navigate food intolerances and allergies discreetly, food is always cooked well and the service is great. Shout out to Matt who was super attentive and made us feel very welcomed and looked after. Good value too with their Steak Soirée deal.

The staff are very attentive and professional. The new menu is delicious with a wide range of dishes suitable for all. We visited as a party of 6 for a special birthday. The staff were not aware it was a celebration but must have overheard that we were celebrating. It was such a lovely surprise that this was later celebrated with the staff bringing a gorgeous dessert to the table.

Great place to either have a drink, quick snack or 3 course meal. Lovely place to eat & drink in a traditional atmosphere. Visited late Saturday afternoon and despite very busy and a private party being organised, the service was brilliant. Greeted and shown to our table by our server Karina. Choice of ordering at bar or in app. Ordered on app after being given recommendations from Karina. Considering how busy they were food was served very quickly and with a friendly smile. Thanks to James as well for the delicious mocktail!

We booked home cottage for our office Christmas lunch and it was fantastic. The food was great, the staff are lovely and super helpful. We sat 25 and parties of a comparable size get their own room in the pub which was amazing. Additionally, on the morning off I wanted to last minute implement a seating plan so I called the staff and not only were they lovely but they got everything printed and set up on time with essentially no notice. Would highly recommend for Christmas parties and is all round a good pub!

The Home Cottage regularly host wine tastings, complete with lovely small plates, all guided by the wonderful Poppy! Not only is the food 10/10, but Poppy’s knowledge of the wine is superb. Such an engaging evening, excellent value for money - could not recommend more!

Lovely pub, great food. We popped in for Sunday lunch before a trip to a nearby winery. They are running a really slick operation, service was on point, and food was delivered very quickly. We had one of the Sunday roasts which was very nice although my personal preference is for the veg to be a little more cooked (a minor complaint). After lunch we went out to the lower terrace to enjoy a drink in the sun. Can't fault the place, good food in an excellent location with fast attentive service. Everything was great!

Make sure you book a table outside, the views of box hill are incredible. If you are here in the evening, they have blankets for outside and the fire, so it’s feels very cosy and romantic. The food here is brilliant, I recommend the lamb, the hake (sometimes on the specials board), the roast dinners! Portions are large, and great value for money. Staff here are really friendly, and sometimes they have live music on a Friday night.

What a wonderful dinner at The Watermill, It's well worth a visit, I would fully recommend it. The food was delicious. I had Venison Pie with mash and gravy, which was sublime. I was also particularly pleased because it was a full pie rather than just with a pastry top. The pie itself was delicious, and the mash, cabbage and gravy were also excellent. The portion was a good size too, and reasonably priced. I had an Elderflower Spritz mocktail to drink which was also excellent. For dessert, I found it incredibly difficult to choose as they all sounded great, but in the end had the Toffee Apple Arctic Roll, which was very nice and not too heavy. The service was excellent also, the staff are very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back, if only to work my way through the dessert menu, as there were so many delicious sounding dishes to choose from. I would definitely recommend The Watermill.

Beautiful pub by Box Hill! Lovely outdoor garden terrace overlooking the hill. It was a very busy Saturday but the service was still friendly and efficient. The food was amazing - the Dressed Devonshire Crab was very refreshing and the truffle mayo was amazing! The baked Camembert went really well with the apricot jam!

Just stopped for a night in Horley before continue our journey to NY and found this place. Looks like a typical english pub/restaurant form a movie, great atmosphere, delicious food and 10/10 sercive. Highly recommended.

We asked our bus driver and he recommended this place. So glad he did! It’s a charming quaint cottage looking restaurant/pub. It has the perfect seating inside and a massive outside seating. Our server, Gok was wonderful. He told us about the history of the place (it’s 800 years old)! He was so entertaining explaining all the stories. There is apparently an undiscovered tunnel that goes from the restaurant to the old church and cemetery next door. This place looks like it’s out of a novel. The food was great and the pudding dessert is a must (we had 3). Everyone in my family was happy and it added to the charm of visiting the UK. Ask for Gok he’s been there 8 years and he will make your experience even better with his knowledge of the place.

Walked down to this busy pub from one of the airport hotels, about 10 minutes and with shortcut through churchyard. Old place inside, nice look. Almost entirely given over to people eating on the night we visited. Nice to see. Busy. Food liked good. Saw some great looking pate. Ordered drink at the bar which seemed to be a surprise. Table provided. Nice. Just stayed for the one as had more of a restaurant vibe than I was looking for that evening. Would come back to eat. The beer was Peroni. As it was and as it should be. Decent pint.

Golf course is top notch, played in July 24. Fantastic layout with lots of features to play around including water and sloping fairways encouraging you to play tactically. Greens in great condition and were fast. Pin positions challenging too. Tee boxes could have been a little flatter, but that’s the only criticism. Great course, will be back.

We arrived on 21st May as a group of 24 playing a Ryder Cup format over 2 days (1 night stay). We found the staff absolutely amazing and were greeted with a huge warm welcome. It’s a beautiful venue that with a bit more investment (which we hear is coming) will be a spectacular place to stay wether golf, wedding or just a vacation. But we were there for golf. The course layout is superb with very well presented scenic holes, superb views, excellent fairways and good holding greens, it has a fantastic finish with to par 5’s in the closing 4 holes. The food was excellent and you will certainly enjoy the breakfast. There are a multitude of different places to sit inside and out to enjoy a nice few drinks with friends and the price list is very reasonable. Overall we (all 24) had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend it to future golf societies that are looking for a great venue to enjoy. Thanks again to all the staff, and in particular the lovely lady who sorted me out with extra coffee (following my hangover) she knows who she is.

Absolutely lovely golf course with a real variety of holes. Plenty of natural obstacles with water, woods, trees and banks making it quite a testing course. The club house is closed for refurbishment, there is no half way house and all the greens were under maintenance but we knew that and they gave a discount. Will go back soon and would reccomend.

We had a family gathering for 60 people with 36 of us staying over this last weekend. The function went without a hitch, lead by Samantha and her team. The food was excellent, the rooms spotless and comfortable. We will be returning and look forward to playing the golf course as well next time round. Many thanks.

Really good services by hotel manager which left an impression. Made our day. Breakfast was surprisingly good - smoked salmon with scrambled eggs are lovely start of the day!

Mohammad and his team are fantastic. The food is out of this world,the portions very generous. The rooms are lovely and very clean. I thought it might be noisy being by such a busy road but it was actually very quiet.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were there for Christmas dinner and the dining rooms and lounge were very nicely decorated. The reason I gave four stars - and not five - is because, at first, they never had any proceco (they had to send someone out to buy some!) and, they ran out of turkey, leaving some unhappy customers. Those problems must be laid at the door of the catering manager. However, we would go there again, hopefully lessons have been learned - as politicians are happy saying when they have messed up!
