The 6 bells has recently been taken over by new owner/chef. They are still busy completing the refurbishment on the inside but the garden has been completed and refurnished. The venue already has an amazing atmosphere and the staff are really professional and friendly. The food at the moment is really good so excited to see what is coming. Definitely worth a visit.

A beautiful pub with wonderful staff and excellent food. They welcomed my 17 year old puppy with treats and praise. They accommodated the weird requests from my 8 year old nephew. They made us welcome and we had an amazing Christmas meal. It was so good I forgot to take photos of the main meal but here are the starters and cheese board

By far the best pub in the southeast! Views 10/10 Food 10/10 Service 10/10 and Staff 11/10!! Georgia just makes the whole experience that bit better! Will be coming back as much as we can be! Definitely worth the visit 🤍

Great new start for the new owners food was delicious all home made went for dinner with friends was so good I went back for roast today! Georgia the waitress was lovely and so was the rest of the team!

Cozy atmosphere, food was piping hot, and service was fast. I had the chicken burger which was really lovely, and the others in our group had fish and chips; one was gluten free. There are lots of gluten free options / gluten free available options on the menu, which is excellent. When our food came, we were asked if we’d like any sauces - I asked if garlic mayo was a possibility, but was unfortunately told no, despite there already being garlic mayo in my burger, which I found odd. The only other slight negative was the menu was a tiny bit on the pricey side (but I guess so is everything nowadays :/ …) Despite this, it was a nice meal and we’d happily return. Thank you very much! :)

Had a lovely Father’s Day meal here back in June and was really blown away with both the service and the food. Called in again while passing and had the ploughman’s and I have to say it’s by far the best I’ve had. Absolutely outstanding value for money in a lovely atmosphere with great service. Would highly recommend.

We haven't been to the Newdigate Arms for a few years, and we returned today, 22nd July 2024. The place has changed so much for the better. The menu is very varied and the quality of the food is great. It has a great outside area, which is covered. The staff are very helpful and professional. There is a fine selection of ales and wines

This is the best pub and food place around right now. The staff are young and understandably a little awkward, but friendly nonetheless. I absolutely, highly recommend it! It's clean, quality of food is brilliant and large portions. I think I've spent on average £20-£30 per person. Drinks aren't cheap (INFLATION). But it's great!

Visited bank holiday Monday and it was manic! This did not prevent us from enjoying our visit, albeit a very noisy one. Staff were predominantly young females who jelled well as an impressive, highly efficient and hardworking team. Although some delays on service due to such a high volume of guests (we had reserved a table in advance), this did not stop staff affording us as much time as we needed to make our menu selections. Our food was delivered, piping hot, aesthetically presented and was absolutely delicious. My only gripe was the beef and ale pie that I and another guest ate, was way too salty, but as it was so delicious, we both eagerly ate it all. We paid the price later by having an incredible thirst! I will certainly return, although will select a quieter day and hope the pie is less salty as I'd really love to enjoy that again.

Update 13/04/24 - came for food and wasn't disappointed! An extremely popular place, resulting in a 45 minute wait for a table. It was worth the wait though! All courses were well presented, tasty and served relatively quickly. Cracking service too. Will definitely be returning. This is a tough one to rate as I only popped in for a drink. What I did see, though, was an extremely busy bar. The food was served quickly and tasted great too. Staff and the landlady were really friendly too. Will be returning and will be trying their food.

We had Sunday lunch here yesterday. Food was good, portions great, although Yorkshire puddings were stale. But expensive for what you get and their prices are different on their website to in house, so be aware of that. Kids loved playing the play area, but the swings had been wrapped around the top bar, so couldn’t be used. Wasps were a persistent problem.

We both had sausage and mash. Turned out to be the best meal we had in England!

I discovered this wonderful pub by chance, on a cold dark night while trying to find an elderly client (I am a domicile carer). I went in to ask directions and received such a wonderful welcome and assistance. Matt the manager immediately linked my mobile phone to their internet and then proceeded to search the address I couldn’t find. He was so kind and obviously was able to direct me to the location I needed. When I returned home my partner said on my next day off we would go for a meal, which we did today! Again, lovely warm welcome and clever personal touch by reserving our table with my name on a slate on the table. We enjoyed the leek, potato and cauliflower soup of the day and I had the superb sticky and oh so wonderful super tasty chicken wings to start. Terry then had a very generous portion of bangers (3) & mash with seasonal veg and gravy, and I had the minced beef and ale pie with mash, veg and gravy. So very good, we were both so sated that there was no room for pudding but there’s always next time! Extremely good value for money too coming to approx £35 each including drinks.

We have been struggling to find a good Indian since moving to Brockham 3 years ago, nothing was really the quality we were looking for. We had drove past this place a few times and when we found it on just eat we decided to give it a try. WOW!!! Never ordering from anywhere else ever again. Despite being further than our locals, this arrived piping hot, hotter than any takeaway we have ever had. The food was so fresh and delicious. Flavour was there in all dishes, especially the aubergine which I love but had been struggling to get a decent one since moving here. Onion bhajis were really good as well. Saag Paneer was really tasty. We are real fans - deliver driver was also brilliant our house is hard to find and we are often having to walk around trying to find them on the street in my pyjamas but he found it straight away and also was really lovely and friendly. So pleased to have found our “go to”.

I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years now and have tried many Indian restaurants and this is the best. I now live over an hour away and still come here for an Indian! Truly lovely staff that go the extra mile and the food is absolutely delicious and fresh.

We had a meal delivered on bank holiday Monday evening. It was superb. The meals are usually good but this time even better. My husband had the Tandori King Prawn meal with extra onions and special rice. I had the Chicken de Gama with mushroom rice. All excellent. We are looking forward to the Elvis night there on Thursday.

Went for lunch after a walk in the area. Parking is easy to find and they have their own car park which is nice. The service was good and the food came out relatively promptly. There are some vegetarian options though the choice may be limited depending on your preferences. The burger was a fake meat type which was generously served but the quality of the patty fell a bit short considering the price. A bean based vegetarian burger would be much more popular in my opinion! The prices are quite expensive for the food but the portions are also huge (maybe a bit too big). Reducing both would make this a 5 star review.

I enjoyed the Sunday lunch there. All meats were nicely cooked, generous portions and good/friendly service. We were in the room at the back of the pub. It was nice but lacked the cosy atmosphere of the pub. I will happily go again! It was good value for money.

Welcoming and fantastic food after a morning out walking,. The vegan moussaka was amazing. Highly recommend this pub and its friendly staff and excellent service. Will be back to dine without hesitation.
