*dog friendly* Visited Huskins for a lazy Friday lunch while we were exploring the town. Such a warm welcome upon arrival. The decor is beautifu,l the bathrooms clean and they welcomed Toby with a mat & bowl. The food did not disappoint. Good menu including (Lavazza) coffee and cake. The BBQ wings were crispy and hot. The triple cheese burgers were juicy and I was able to upgrade mine with bacon & sweet potato fries. Oh đŽ the cocktails were lush especially the espresso martini. If you're in Godalming, this is where to stop.

A lovely lunch with my husband and our dog Floki. We had a delicious chicken & bacon sandwich with salad, savory toasted croissant and crispy sweet potato fries. We all felt welcomed and the place is super cute. Thank you!

Had a lovely evening at this Thai pub restaurant. The flavours were spot-on, with each dish tasting fresh and authentic. It was a cosy spot to enjoy great food. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, compared to years ago at least. Overall a great spot for Thai food.

Great find of a place. Very tasty Thai food and great drinks selection. And, even though you have to pay for the drinks and food on two separate machines, it is a smooth and seamless operation and does not feel like a hassle. They also allow dogs into one part of the restaurant which was a bonus, the staff are super friendly and efficient.

Lovely meal. The staff are very helpful, attentive, and clearly care a lot about the customerâs experience. The place is very clean. It is excellent to have Thai food in Elstead, thank you. I would definitely come again. The prices are fair. I think the portion sizes were perfect, but if you are looking for huge servings, this restaurant may not be for you. It is recommended that you order a set meal, which I would agree with. Thank you very much GOLDEN FLEECE. Toilet facilities - very clean and well kept.

A beautiful little restaurant with fantastic food and a very caring host. We planned to go for a small lunch for 2 and ended up having a full blown 3 course meal with drinks. It was all absolutely beautiful food, the plates were left clean! It was very affordable. The owner was so very kind and welcoming. He was polite, professional and made a fantastic coffee. I can't recommend enough. Wonderful place and we will be back to pig out again!

12 of us had our Xmas party here on Thursday evening. As ever the food was delicious and the service was excellent. All the team work together so well and make it all seem so effortless, which it clearly isnât. We had meals ranging from pizza, pasta calves liver and lamb shoulder and all were cooked to perfection and served all at the same time. Amazing. Highly recommend.

Anniversary dinner for my wife & I with three friends. Everything was first class. From the ultra simple reservation (quick phone call, very efficient & lovely lady), to the service & food it was wonderful. We had 2 x buratta as a sharing starter then everyone's main dish was perfect taste & presentation. Really friendly non intrusive staff & a fair price with a free Limocello! Will certainly go back again.

Great 3 course st Xmas dinner, which includes crackers, coffee, and a mince pie. Lovely warm cosy lunch. P.S the main menu looked fab as well, and the sweet trolley was scrumptious.

Had a lovely family lunch. Food was excellent, staff were very attentive. Unfortunately we didnât give ourselves enough time to thoroughly enjoy everything. Next time weâll come an hour earlier. For anyone who needs to know they actually shut at three, not just the kitchen as is normally the case, but definitely worth visiting.

Good beer (Hogs Back) and wholesome food (steak kidney pudding). A little slow but landlady very enthusiastic and friendly. Too full to try the sweet trolley (haven't seen one of these for years). Worth supporting.

Lovely restaurant with excellent decoration. Always busy, even on a Monday night.. so make sure you book. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was polite and he had the best customer service I've seen for a while.

Really glad we made our walkers lunch stop at this traditional pub in the pretty village of Thursley. Friendly, professional & welcoming staff. Real ale was well kept. Homemade sandwiches were tasty. Competitive prices. Live music on a Saturday afternoon was a real bonus! Would definitely visit here again.

Always a nice welcome and friendly staff and this lovely community-run local pub. In the summer we have enjoyed eating in the garden with its far reaching views. We have eaten here a few times and until now always had good food. But on this occasion the food was poor. The pie was swimming in gravy that lacked any flavour, it would also have been nicer to serve the gravy separately. Sadly the food was cold and had to be returned to the kitchen, the pub was not busy and it really seemed a shame that they missed the mark on this occassion. We also noted that the menu was not as interesting as it had been earlier in the year. I am hoping this was a 'blip' and that normal service will resume. We will give it another go sometime soon.

We needed a night away and randomly chose Godalming, having seen The Star as a highly rated pub that sold good beer and had a nice menu. We reserved a table thanks goodness as it was packed. A really nice atmosphere and the queues at the bar were no problem as the service was quick. An older blind couple sat next to us and the staff there were lovely with them, sitting and reading the menu to help them choose what they wanted, then returning to see how things were and whether they needed a drink. Such a friendly pub we had a great night. And when we were unsure how many of the sharing plates to order we were told that 2 and a dish of the chips might be enough to start with. It was, glad we didnât order the 4 dishes that we were going to. Would highly recommend the pub, but book in advance if you want a seat.

Beyond expectations. I arrived at the pub with my family and they found me a table even without a reservation. Great music and atmosphere. We ordered a Star Burger each, a generous dish even if the burger alone was a bit dry but well cooked. The price paid is absolutely fair.

First time at Acorn Restaurant, and I wish we could have attend it much sooner! Exceptional food and service. Instead of having a regular practice of starting off the dinner with the starters and the main, we were advised to have a âflightâ with the selections of starters. Indeed a valuable advise, and our experience was more than delightful. High quality food, and very reasonably priced for the quality of food that exceeds many respectable businesses in London. We will be coming back to explore the rest of the menu, and will be excited for every upcoming specials. Thank you!

Coming to this restaurant was a brilliant experience and now this place is our favourite place to go to for a steak in the area. All the food that we ordered was brilliant, but the highlight of our meal was a tomahawk - perfect cut of meat cooked exactly as we liked it. The staff was very friendly and nice and had great recommendations for the wine, and the chef came out to greet us and chat to us throughout the meal which was an extra bonus The place itself is very cozy and cute and itâs easy to find parking

An absolute gem of a restaurant, the food was top notch, super fresh and really varied but with a lovely Spanish flavour running throughout. The seafood options were excellent and Iâd highly recommend it for that alone. Not cheap but fairly priced in my opinion for the quality you get. Service was relaxed but attentive and recommendations were readily given, clearly there are a lot of regulars too which is no surprise!

My personal experience of Acorn was fantastic. Went for the catalan bread to start/share which was unusual and interesting... Best described as a cross between a foccacia and a pizza. Main was the sharing hot seafood platter. This wasn't what I had in mind when I think platter. It's more a collection of seafood within a seafood bisque. Naming preconceptions aside it was DELICIOUS. perfectly cooked lobster scallops, monkfish and prawns in a rich seafood bisque bursting with flavour and rich intensity. It was outstanding. Desserts were a catalan version of pain perdu which was very pleasant. The tarte tatin was the better dessert for us though.. Bitter, sticky caramel balanced by the sweet apple heavy top. Served with a tangy and sweet whipped yoghurt. Service was very friendly and efficient. Chef likes talking to the customers which adds a very personal touch. Ambience slightly lacking but less to do with gwthw overall decor and lighting which was nice enough.. But more to do with the fact it was a midweek dinner and the restaurant was relatively empty. Although in my opinion it shouldn't be.. We had a terrific experience and will definitely come back again to try other dishes.

Went for New Years Eve and it was great. The food is amazing and so well priced. They called early in the day as we were arriving later in the evening so we could preorder. ÂŁ75 for mains, starters, sides and a couple of drinks each. Also did their Sunday roast recently and again food was fantastic. Highly recommend.

We have tried almost ever pub/restaurant in the area now. The Charterhouse is 100% the best choice for steak! Every time it has been perfect. đ The landlord is a legend, the chef is very good and always a friendly welcome/atmosphere (the pub dog is also very funny!). Thank you for all the great meals!

A fantastic new addition to the area, great staff, fabulous food and good beer. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed not only by the staff, but the pub itself is inviting, light and well set out, it felt large and cosy at the same time. The menu wasnât massive which is sometimes a positive, and this was definitely one of those occasions, because the items they did have on the menu were done really well. (I must caveat the photos are taken after a few pieces of squid and wings were taken, so the portion sizes look smaller than they were) We had the Korean bbq wings and the Squid to the start. The wings had a good kick to them and the squid came with a lovely chilli jam. For mains 3 of us had Meat burgers and 1 of us had the Veggie burger, none of us were dissatisfied or disappointed. The meat was good well, and the burger was juicy with a nice portion of crispy chips. All in all it was a great pub meal and not to pricey either. The beer selection was good something for everyone, I had my go to Neck oil. We were all really impressed and will definitely be back again soon. This is the first time weâve been here over the years weâve lived in the area. I think since we have lived here itâs changed hands 3 times, the last owners made it a bikers pub, we always wanted to go in, but the sign saying bikers only did put us off a little. They soon took that sign down and opened it to the public.

Lovely building. Friendly staff. Tried some of the "nibbles" on the menu which were superb ! The mains were Crispy Beef on Salad with Cashews ( Excellent ) and A Quiche Lorraine which , my partner, felt was far too oniony for her tastes. Having said that, we enjoyed our experience and we will come back again soon.

Brilliant meal, had eaten here before Christmas and were given an envelope for either 25%, 50% or 100% off the bill upon returning in Jan or Feb, brilliant idea and we got 25% off, great food in very good portion sizes. Will be back soon.
