Forgot to post this in the last couple of weeks. We first went to The Gosling for our anniversary in December, the food and service was exceptionally good, by far the best food quality and service we experienced in Surrey so far. The restaurant is very clean and really comfy as well, surprising to see the place not all that crowded It was so good we came back the next Sunday for the roast, omg so good. Go try it you won’t regret

What a brilliant gem near Woking. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food, service and decor were amazing. We particularly enjoyed the lamb started and chateaubriand. We will definitely be back.

First visit last night. We had an early table so wasn’t that many people there so atmosphere wise hard to judge but started to fill near the end. The food and service were top notch. Good selection of food options and done to to a high level. All staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. Two courses and a few drinks came to about £80 per head.

Absolutely spectacular! We have been wanting to go here for a while and for one reason or another life has got in the way. Well we finally got to go and it did not disappoint. Food was spectacular, service was amazing, everyone was incredibly friendly and they allow dogs… We have been planning our next visit from the moment we went there. For reference there is a great dog walk just the other side of the road, so perfect for a decent walk then slap up meal. As a side note the cocktails are banging.

We went for our pre Christmas Christmas lunch with dad. Staff were super friendly. The drinks menu was confusing and missing an easy to understand section of non alcoholic beverages. And the tables were a bit close together lovely if everyone is respectful but some guests are a bit blasé. But the food was tasty and prepared in a reasonable amount of time, with a much needed rest in between. The bathrooms were lovely with their hand towels to dry your hands.

Our server Dawid was amazing! I have severe food allergies and they were attentive and nice. It was a good atmosphere where my husband and I had a lovely date night. Definitely coming back and would recommend to others. The calamari was my favourite!

We visited the restaurant on December 31st. It was quite busy, but the service was exceptional. Our server, Ai, was cheerful and lively, despite likely having a long day. It is a shame the Lobster pasta is only available on the Christmas menu and is leaving soon? as the taste was marvelous.

Zizzi’s is back in Woking & I’m so happy it is! We had the pleasure of being served by Dave and David who were super helpful with my nut allergy and also very knowledgeable about the menu. We took the set menu which was so yummy we even had to box our desserts as we didn’t want to miss out on anything! The food was so flavourful and not your usual Italian chain at all. The strawberry daiquiri was also delicious and it took all my restraint to not have a second! The atmosphere at the restaurant was fun vibes and was perfect for all as there were single tables, couples and families so perfect for everyone! Can’t wait to come back and also gained a take away option for when need a yummy option and don’t want to cook!

We really enjoyed our trip to Zizzi's. The service was excellent, thanks to our waiter Will who was friendly and attentive. He was careful with dietary requirements too which is always a relief. The food was delicious. We ordered from both festive and normal menus and it was excellent. We will be back!

The time I’m giving this review, I’ve been to Zizi Woking twice in less than a week. The food is delicious, the vibe is amazing, the staffs are trainer well, they are friendly, very welcoming & they pay attention to everything you said. I want to give a massive shout out to Will! He was our waiter on both of our visits & he made us feel so taken care of. On our first visit, it was for a friend’s birthday & all I did was to tell Will, “oh it’s her birthday today, that’s why she’s acting like a boss” because my friend did acted bossy (in a funny way). I didn’t asked or request anything & when the time for dessert came, Will have served my friend’s dessert with Happy Birthday written on her plate & he & other staffs sang birthday song. It was so beautiful & such a lovely surprise. Top notch service! Well done, Will.

Rating: 4.8 (194) Price Level:

Absolutely incredible experience! Must go to! Delicious food, big compliments to the chef! Our server was Param - very kind, passionate, and attentive! Atmosphere was romantic, everyone was seated with tables in between so it was cosy yet spacious. Ordered - lamp chops, chicken lollipop, chow pati chaat, and paani puri for starters with butter chicken for mains. We loved the lamb chops so much we ordered more after the mains and ordered some more food for the day after...

We booked for dinner at 7.30pm and had a wonderful greeting as we were taken to a perfect table. We ordered a Watermelon Daiquiri (so good I had a second!) and a Cobra to drink along with a few starters. The food was AMAZING! So tasty beautifully presented throughout, and moreish as well as very good portion sizes. The mains were just beautiful and again so tasty and portion sizes very good. We brought what we couldn’t finish home as it would have been a crime to leave it as it was that good!! The waiting staff were perfect, never too much but always there when needed & helped us pick the right things for us as well as giving us a break after our starters so we could enjoy our mains fully. I was also really impressed as the staff triple checked there were no nuts for me with my allergy in the dishes I was having which was really reassuring for me. I can’t wait to come back and am excited to change our normal take away to Versova as the chicken tikka and garlic naan was the best I’ve ever had!! The photos I took do not do this food justice! If you are in the Woking area book in and go as you will not be disappointed!

Really yummy food, meat and fish dishes we had were cooked to perfection! Juicy prawns, lollipop chicken and lamb chops. The decor is fabulous too. Only small opinions on the rest: Music could have been a little louder as could hear the table next to us as the tables are quite close to each other. Candles were being blown out after guests left making the room smell of burning, could possibly use a candle snuffer to reduce that. Nice that they use real candles though. For some reason weren't given a dessert menu after our mains, not sure if they have desserts or not. It was not a super busy evening so maybe they left us to enjoy and take our time and didn't feel rushed, which was a positive. Lovely evening overall and can't wait to try different dishes next time!

Amazing service, sincere and welcoming smiles, and lots of attention from the staff. Food is different from most Indian restaurants - by the way it is prepared and presented. Menu is not too big, which is great - means easier to ensure quality of ingredients, less wastage. Was welcomed with free amuse-bouche, same with deserts for me and my partner. Even though I could pay for both next time as both really tasty. Great addition to Woking. Definitely, I will be back.

Our meal at Versova surpassed all expectations! I’d read amazing reviews and followed the news of the restaurant opening so was very excited to come here for my anniversary celebration. The service was exemplary- very friendly and hospitable while also not rushing us through. We went for most of the recommended dishes and were so pleased that we did! All food was expertly and thoughtfully prepared and we savoured all of it - lots of depth of flavour and very fresh. I couldn’t fault a thing and can only praise the excellent food and service! I can’t wait to return to try more of the menu - would highly recommend!!!

Heather Farm Cafe

Heather Farm, Horsell Common Rd, Chobham Rd, Woking GU21 4XY, UK | Cafe
P: 01483 726556

Rating: 4.5 (988) Price Level:

Great atmosphere and food. Good portions and reasonable price. However waitering service could be improved. Used cutlery and plates from previous customers were not cleared before we sat down in the cabin. We had to ask for someone to clear it when we were served our food despite waiters being available to clear it. Cutlery was not provided with the food, so I had to get it myself. The station nearest to us was not kept full, I had to ask for the manager for cutlery and to top it up. Tip for improvement: Waiters to clear tables more efficiently by prioritising tables people are sat at before clearing empty tables.

Great place to go for breakfast, then followed by a nice walk along the amazing wetlands! Parking is great and free. There is loads of room outside including awesome outdoor pods which we used last time. The food is really nice and priced fairly. My personal tip is to arrive just after it opens, or around 9:30 - it’s not very busy then, and has a brilliant atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly too.

We came here for lunch after a walk around Horsell common. My parents have been here multiple times, but this was my first visit and I will definitely be returning. I have coeliac disease, but they advised that the allergens could be found online and that they had gluten free bread and buns to substitute. They also confirmed the chips are fried separate so are safe to eat. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, plenty of choice. They also have a dog menu, which is a nice touch.

Found by chance and really glad we did. Went at 5.30 on a Sat and it was pretty quiet, it did get busier. We have the sharing plate to start, so yummy and really big. Definitely too big for just 2 people. The bread & beetroot were particularly good. Pork for main which nice & the other had the Chicken salad which was really good.

Wow! What a charming place to eat. Beautiful decor , Attentive staff, a mouthwatering menu, food cooked and served with love and care . Special thanks to the chef , the food was excellent, very tasty, great quality ingredients and piping hot. Coffee was wonderful too. I wish I lived in the area as I’d become a regular here . I had the full english ( 2 sausages , 2 bacon, fried egg,, black pudding, 3 hash browns , baked beans grilled tomato plus toast ) but was greedy and had a sausage ( 3 sausages) brioche bap afterwards , I recommend both, my wife had the smaller breakfast which was equally as nice . Great value for money !!!

A lovely local coffee shop in the heart of Horsell village. Beit Beirut

14 The Broadway, Woking GU21 5AP, UK | Lebanese Restaurant
P: 01483 723080

Rating: 4.7 (334) Price Level:

There is a reason why Beit Beirut has such high ratings. The restaurant itself is clean and warm, the wine wall adds a lovely traditional feel to room, and the atmosphere is soothing. The staff are lovely and attentive, explaining each dish and its origins as it is served. The food itself was full of flavour and varied, so many different foods to try. I tried several dishes like the grilled aubergine starter (included in the cold meze) that I've not tried before and not only enjoyed what I ate but highly recommend. For something different, tasty and friendly in Woking I strongly recommend booking yourself into Beit Beirut. You won't be disappointed.

This is my favourite restaurant in Woking. The food is delicious, the servers are warm and friendly and the portion sizes are great. Best of all, they are not stingy on the bread! I would recommend the tasting menu since you get to a bit of everything, and the meats on the mixed grill are really good.

My partner and I visited Beit Beirut for dinner and had a fabulous evening. The food was wonderful and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had a tasting menu, which included a mixture of cold mezza, hot mezza, meats and rice, and a selection of baklava to finish. We especially loved the Batata Harra, Cheese Sambousek and Lamb Kastaleta. All of the dishes we tried had amazing flavour and seasoning, were cooked to perfection, and they were all presented beautifully. They also have an extensive selection of Lebanese wines to choose from, so you can choose a wine that will compliment the dishes you order. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to enjoy delicious authentic Lebanese food.

Everest Spice Woking

1 St Johns Rd, St John's, Woking GU21 7SE, UK | Restaurant
P: 01483 726290

Rating: 4.7 (266) Price Level:

In Woking for my sins….! Purple Palace in the centre was standard, but I fancied a curry. Checked out and Everest topped the list. Pleasant evening so I walked the 2 miles to the restaurant - I wasn’t disappointed. Settled in, ordered papadums and pickle tray with a Cobra just to settle in. Super tasty. Nepalese cuisine - similar to Indian, but different. I asked the lovely waiter for advice and suggestions. He suggested one of the two Nepalese specials - one was tomato based, the other yoghurt based. I chose the yoghurt one and accepted his recommend of spicy. Pace was perfect, as I enjoyed, the restaurant was filling up, early on a Sunday evening and a passing trade in takeouts. Food arrived, my word, very tasty, lamb could be cut with a fork and the sauce was spot on. The Naan was light, garlicky and tasty. Cobra was chilled and perfect. An all round most excellent meal with different notes to Indian or Bangladesh restaurants. Well worth a try 👍

Interesting restaurant, witha variety of personalities as staff. They were welcoming and polite. The service was incredibly inconsistent. It took 20 mins for anything, 20 mins to get a menu, 20 mins to get water, another for starters and mains. Ended up spending over 3.5 hours there for dinner. The food was pretty tasty though, not too spicy, and good flavour.

This place is my absolute favourite restaurant. We eat here regularly - everything on the menu is so flavourful and by far the best curry I've ever had. I like it super hot and the owner is more than happy to make things extra hot for me! If you can handle spicy, I recommend the lamb Nepal Kalio. It's heavenly. If you like tomato-based curries, the Ghurkali lamb is another one of my favourites. The chili paneer starter, samoosas and momos are also incredible! The service is friendly and efficient, it has a great vibe, and I will probably never leave Woking because of the Everest Spice!

This is a gem of a local curry house, just outside Woking. The warmest welcome on arrival and friendly attentive staff. The atmosphere is great and so is the food. The lamb momo's (think spicy dim-sum) are delicious and our side of okra was the best okra I've had. The curries were delicious. We had a great evening here and really enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely return.

Some of my family met up there a couple of days after Xmas. We were going to be a party of 17 but reduced to 10 at 24hr notice due to bad health. Then most of the gang were almost an hour late due to the traffic on M25 but none of this fazed the wonderful attitude and service of the staff! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the atmosphere there, brilliant!! I will most certainly return to enjoy more of the menu!!!
