Rating: 4.8 (218) Price Level:

Forgot to post this in the last couple of weeks. We first went to The Gosling for our anniversary in December, the food and service was exceptionally good, by far the best food quality and service we experienced in Surrey so far. The restaurant is very clean and really comfy as well, surprising to see the place not all that crowded It was so good we came back the next Sunday for the roast, omg so good. Go try it you won’t regret

Absolutely spectacular! We have been wanting to go here for a while and for one reason or another life has got in the way. Well we finally got to go and it did not disappoint. Food was spectacular, service was amazing, everyone was incredibly friendly and they allow dogs… We have been planning our next visit from the moment we went there. For reference there is a great dog walk just the other side of the road, so perfect for a decent walk then slap up meal. As a side note the cocktails are banging.

We went for our pre Christmas Christmas lunch with dad. Staff were super friendly. The drinks menu was confusing and missing an easy to understand section of non alcoholic beverages. And the tables were a bit close together lovely if everyone is respectful but some guests are a bit blasé. But the food was tasty and prepared in a reasonable amount of time, with a much needed rest in between. The bathrooms were lovely with their hand towels to dry your hands.

What a brilliant gem near Woking. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food, service and decor were amazing. We particularly enjoyed the lamb started and chateaubriand. We will definitely be back.

First visit last night. We had an early table so wasn’t that many people there so atmosphere wise hard to judge but started to fill near the end. The food and service were top notch. Good selection of food options and done to to a high level. All staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. Two courses and a few drinks came to about £80 per head.

Rating: 4.7 (334) Price Level:

Delicious food, cosy atmosphere and wonderful service. Beit Beirut know how to treat you, make you feel so welcome and want to come again! Delicious lamb and chicken dishes, full of flavour! We enjoyed wine, coffees and baklava after. Wonderful, caring treatment from all staff! Will absolutely be coming again!

My partner and I visited Beit Beirut for dinner and had a fabulous evening. The food was wonderful and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had a tasting menu, which included a mixture of cold mezza, hot mezza, meats and rice, and a selection of baklava to finish. We especially loved the Batata Harra, Cheese Sambousek and Lamb Kastaleta. All of the dishes we tried had amazing flavour and seasoning, were cooked to perfection, and they were all presented beautifully. They also have an extensive selection of Lebanese wines to choose from, so you can choose a wine that will compliment the dishes you order. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to enjoy delicious authentic Lebanese food.

This is my favourite restaurant in Woking. The food is delicious, the servers are warm and friendly and the portion sizes are great. Best of all, they are not stingy on the bread! I would recommend the tasting menu since you get to a bit of everything, and the meats on the mixed grill are really good.

Fabulous meal at this restaurant. We ordered the tasting menu. Plenty of delicious food. A couple of dishes were a little too spicy for me due to oral autoimmune condition so best to ask first if you can't tolerate spicy.

There is a reason why Beit Beirut has such high ratings. The restaurant itself is clean and warm, the wine wall adds a lovely traditional feel to room, and the atmosphere is soothing. The staff are lovely and attentive, explaining each dish and its origins as it is served. The food itself was full of flavour and varied, so many different foods to try. I tried several dishes like the grilled aubergine starter (included in the cold meze) that I've not tried before and not only enjoyed what I ate but highly recommend. For something different, tasty and friendly in Woking I strongly recommend booking yourself into Beit Beirut. You won't be disappointed.

Food looked amazing, although we only stopped by for a drink, I would consider coming back to eat. Atmosphere was great and service was fantastic, particularly John behind the bar. Love that you can see them cooking in the kitchen and decor was fab! Only downside was the cost, £15 for a bottle of beer and white wine spritz 😬. Pint and white wine spritz was £13.50

Absolutely gorgeous meal here tonight. Mussels were GORGEOUS. Lovely prawns for main and delicious sausage and ricotta pasta. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I am gluten intolerant and they were incredibly helpful explaining what was safe on the menu, and the gluten free pasta was cooked beautifully. Will definitely be back.

We visited Bacaro and met Adam the owner as we had a 40th birthday coming up and wanted to book the venue for a party. He kindly facilitated our needs and made the planning very easy. Food on the night freshly cooked and tasted wonderful. Service was fantastic and very friendly with a warm atmosphere. Cannot recommend highly enough for a party, or to try the food and hospitality for a meal out.

We had a lovely meal in Bacaro prior to our theatre show. We had the pre theatre set menu which had a good and varied selection on it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was tasty and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was vibrant on a busy Saturday night.

Inn At Maybury

1906 Maybury Hill, Woking GU22 8AB, UK | Bar
P: 01483 722115

Rating: 4.5 (1426) Price Level:

We just had a fabulous sunday lunch. A really friendly place that was very accommodating to our dietary needs. They substituted oil for butter and instrad of Potatoes gave me extra veg as on Atkins. This was all organised by our super friendly and helpful waitress, Evie, who couldn't do enough for us! I was in Hakkassan in Mayfair last night and the price was 4 times this, and the service was better here! The seabass was crispy and tasty and the beef was yummy and wholesome on a grey day.

Staff very friendly and food was good, three cheese 🍕 ordered, only one Ale on but to be honest it was nice. Would of been nice to have had a choice. Only bad thing I could think of is that the place itself is tired, the men's toilet wasn't clean, soap dispenser not attached to the wall. And could to with a good paint. Such a shame as last time I was here working here couple of years back it was immaculate. Time for a spruce up I reckon.

We celebrated our Twins Sacrament of Confirmation and Harry and Alice were amazing. Super attentive to my guest requests and they both made the day enjoyable with no stress. We selected 10 items from the pre set menu and all of the food distributed was delicious 😋. Even our guests made comments to advise that all of the food outstanding. Harry took care of us from when I made the booking, up until the end of the event. Alice took care of the guests requests on the day and they both checked in to ensure that we were OK with everything. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts. You made the day super enjoyable.

Superb festive lunch! Turkey with all the trimmings and every single thing on the plate was excellent. The two of us had experienced a Christmas meal each at other establishments and this was head and shoulders above both of those. To top it off this was also the cheapest. Seriously, don't go anywhere else!

Birthday meal with the hubby, asparagus, goats cheese and quail egg tart! All the flavours in a beautiful thin crust. The Cornish plaice was stunning, sweet, tasty and a good size portion and OMG the chocolate mousse was amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and very apologetic that they didn’t have port glasses for the excellent LBV we had after dinner. Marina you were great!

My husband and I stopped by to have lunch yesterday. It was his first time. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we all enjoyed a glass of Prosecco alongside our lunch. The cost was astonishingly reasonable. They have recently introduced an entirely new menu. The chicken was amazing. Additionally, the ham hock was delicious and delightful, although I couldn't consume the entire dish. Without a doubt, we will return and enthusiastically recommend it.Five-star rating!

Ripley Curry Garden

High St, The Green, Ripley, Woking GU23 6AY, UK | Indian Restaurant
P: 01483 224153

Rating: 4.7 (400) Price Level:

3rd time eating here. The staff are great, seating is a little tight but not too off putting. I am pretty sure my mind is made up and I can genuinely say that the food served here, that I have tasted, is amongst the best if not THE best Indian food I have experienced. The prices are a bit dearer than your average 'after pub curry venue' but that's because it isn't an average 'after pub curry venue'. Love it and will be booking again soon. You are best booking every time as they do get busy.

Very welcoming pub with genuinely passionate owners who care so much for the pub and their locals. It's a truly unique old pub with a large fire place and wooden beams. You can imagine life there 1600's as it still has that historical timeless feel. The building is so interesting and the owners really enjoyed sharing their knowledge of the history with me that made the visit that much more enjoyable. It's perfect for an afternoon coffee or an evening drink. Good selection of drinks to choose from. Some great bar snacks to. Keep an eye out for live music as it's a brilliant atmosphere when a folk band are playing there. Used to be known as a 'locals' pub which may have been off putting but I'm not that local and the few times I have been now I have chatted with the locals and staff and been made to feel very welcome. I look forward to my next visit when I will be bringing along family and friends. Well done owners, 10/10

Best pub in Ripley. Been coming here for years and get on with all the locals. Great beer and snack selection. Lovely on a summer or winters evening. Highly recommended. No meals served. Update August 2024 Becky and Tim have been running The Ship Inn since December 2023 and they are absolutely smashing it! The pub is lively, full of locals, regulars, walkers, visitors, friends and families every day of the week! The beer is perfect, the snacks and food now served is absolutely on point! The live music and events are incredible and the monthly quiz is second to none! What a great atmosphere they have brought back to the heart of Ripley! If you're in Ripley for ANY reason and you don't pop in you're an absolute fool! Get down to The Ship Inn and join in the fun, have a nice cold pint and some snacks and relax!!!!

We went for dinner and were very impressed with the experience. The restaurant itself is somewhat dated, but that’s not a criticism, it’s like walking back in time and the level of service reflects that. The waiters and all staff we dealt with were very kind and entertaining. The food, well, the food was sublime! I would recommend to anyone and we will be returning in a few weeks to try some other items on the menu! Fresh bread and butter on arrival was a nice touch, especially because the bread rolls were shaped like tiny loafs which was a nice touch!

Excellent on every level. Food was amazing, the service was fun but unobtrusive and the building is amazing and seems much older than 1890 when it was (apparently built). The Beef Wellington is amazing and my whole group all enjoyed their meals. The price is according to the quality.

Super warm and cosy atmosphere with a happy greeting as we entered. All the staff were really attentive and friendly, and the food was LUSH! Generous portions and cooked perfectly - we just need to eat less during the day to squeeze in a dessert next time as they sounded delicious - we have a new favourite local pub to visit and a menu that has so many options to keep us going back :) thanks for a lovely evening team Seven Stars !

Three of us had a late lunch in the garden. Beautiful pub with an excellent outside seating area. Very busy, popular place. I had trout with mashed potatoes and onions. Delicious! Im a pescatarian who does not like fish to look like fish. So what i liked was that it was a trout fillet, with no heads or tails visible. Service was a little slow, however, they were very busy. I would certainly go there again.

I visited this pub/restaurant for a solo business meal. The staff were some of the friendliest, most welcoming restaurant staff I have ever encountered. The lady who I assumed was the manager treated me like a member of her family and could not do enough for me! Grace, who was waiting on my table was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. They said I would be back and they were right - I’ll definitely be going back here. The atmosphere was so cosy and welcoming!
