Amazing experience (if you can get a table!). We were lucky enough to be at the chef's table and were able to watch Ben at work as well as ask him all sorts of questions as he worked. The food was amazing, but actually it was an overall immersive experience that was so much more - the food, the environment, the atmosphere and the hosts. We're hoping to book again sometime soon, but will have to set an alarm - it's like trying to get Oasis tickets when they're released!

Recently, myself and two friends had the pleasure of dining at Maison. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and at home by the very friendly hosts. The menu tasting was a great way to experience the chef's skills and food flare. Maison had to offer. We were spoiled with a variety of delicious dishes that were cooked to perfection. The flavours were incredible and the presentation was exquisite. The highlight of the meal was the chicken. It was cooked to perfection and was the best we had ever had. The desserts were also a highlight, with a range of flavours, colours and delightful surprises. I have Coeliac (gluten free), and the chef was more than happy to accommodate my dietary requirements. He even went above and beyond, making "the best" gluten free bread just for me. This was a really nice touch and made me feel very special. Overall, our experience at Maison was fantastic. The food was outstanding and the hosts were very friendly. The price was also worth it for the quality of the food and service we received. I would highly recommend Maison to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you again and look forward to dining with you again in the coming months. Top tip - book as soon as dates are released. Update 5 September 2024. Still just as amazing and every aspect was perfect.

I had been waiting to come here for months and it did not disappoint. You are greeted with such a warm welcome. It is such a beautiful place with a lovely, warm atmosphere. Big thanks to both Ben and Lornette. The food was incredible, I had never been to a place like it or eaten food like it before. It was considered, delicious and refined food. Lornette is so friendly and professional at the same time, she has it down to such a fine art. Service and food was impeccable. I absolutely cannot wait to book to come again.

A must stop location, hidden away down a country lane next to Squires. Would easily be missed. Lovely selection of lagers and ales, along with gin and red wine. We had the mix cheese board / charcuterie 🧀 🍺

**FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR THE DAIRY, WHEN YOU’RE AT THE DAIRY YOU’LL SEE SIGNS FOR THE TAPROOM** We had a couple of great pints here in the sunshine this afternoon. Lovely staff. Great beer. Beautiful surroundings. We will defo be coming back to try the food. My only, extremely mild, complaint is that I didn’t see any signs from the main road, which made me feel a little uneasy getting to the taproom.

What a cool place. Almost don't want to share it with others! Found it 19km into a long run and thought a beer would be great for my energy levels. Love to cycle here, run here and even drive here. Great spot for a local beer next to the fire in the winter or a coffee or beer in the sun in the summer. Love it. Thank you!

Really glad we made our walkers lunch stop at this traditional pub in the pretty village of Thursley. Friendly, professional & welcoming staff. Real ale was well kept. Homemade sandwiches were tasty. Competitive prices. Live music on a Saturday afternoon was a real bonus! Would definitely visit here again.

Always a nice welcome and friendly staff and this lovely community-run local pub. In the summer we have enjoyed eating in the garden with its far reaching views. We have eaten here a few times and until now always had good food. But on this occasion the food was poor. The pie was swimming in gravy that lacked any flavour, it would also have been nicer to serve the gravy separately. Sadly the food was cold and had to be returned to the kitchen, the pub was not busy and it really seemed a shame that they missed the mark on this occassion. We also noted that the menu was not as interesting as it had been earlier in the year. I am hoping this was a 'blip' and that normal service will resume. We will give it another go sometime soon.

Brilliant place with a fantastic view and a playground for little ones. Service is fantastic very attentive. Food was beautiful, I've order chicken nuggets for my daughter for ÂŁ7.50, portion was huge, and the actual nuggets were large pieces od breaded chicken breast with cheddar inside. All portions were large and super tasty, they're using local produce from Secretts farm. Just beautiful. Great experience all throughout.

Rating: 4.7 (145) Price Level:

This is a long overdue review - apologies, but Christmas got in the way! We had a family outing to celebrate 2 birthdays and a wedding anniversary and were delighted with our evening at the Barn Bistro. We were there fairly early, so it was on the quiet side, but very welcoming even so. Very pleasant service, really good food (even our little picky eater enjoyed it) and all in all a good place for a celebration. Thank you - and we hope to see you again soon.

Great food and service. We went at 5:00pm on a Wednesday so the atmosphere was understandably quiet. The portions were very generous and as non meat eaters we had a lot of choice. We will be going back!

Lovely food, presentation was good. My daughter's steak wasn't cooked enough for her. But the sauce was delicious. The steak yorkie was absolutely amazing. The beef was tender, and the sauce flavoursome. Now, I am fussy about Mac n Cheese, but this one was really good. My daughter said her sauce made her feel like she was at home in pj's having a Sunday roast.

We had plans to eat somewhere else, but something unexpected happened, and we landed at Heaven's Kitchen. Talk about good fortune! Right as we stepped through the door warm grins and top-notch service met us. The team was super friendly, sharp, and hospitable, which made us feel right at home. The meals were out of this world. Each plate was a flavor explosion and a feast for the eyes. They played some tunes, and it set a nice vibe—quiet enough so our chat kept flowing. Even though they ran out of a dish I wanted, the team made a big effort to hook me up with an tasty plan B. We loved the place, like , and guess what? We’ve lined up two more dinners at Heaven's Kitchen. Kid you not, it's our top pick for eats now. Gotta hand it to 'em, a solid 11/10.

The Luxe Restaurant & Bar

Lion and Lamb Yard, Farnham GU9 7LL, UK | Mediterranean Restaurant
P: 01252 938670

Rating: 4.5 (254) Price Level:

A group of us were led upstairs to dine. Busts and reliefs of Greek deitys overlooked us. So too, did lots of Van Gogh paintings. All in all, it felt more like a trip to the British museum, than a restaurant. However, the mainly Hellenistic decor and warm lighting, did set a wonderful ambience for our meal. The cocktails are superbly crafted and highly recommended. The Pina colada for example, was really rich and creamy. They also serve Efts beer, albeit in an Asahi glass. The walnut, honey goats cheese starter was standout incredible and fit for the Gods, should the decor suddenly come to life(like it does in, 'Night of the museum'). Three of us had scallops and we unanimously agreed that they were all rather small, colourless and criminally overdone. Shame on you chef. Onto the grills because that's what they should do best here in this Mediterranean themed joint. The lamb rump is good, the chops reasonable but the chicken, although tasty, was a little dry. My partner opted for our favourite dish, moussaka but it was over seasoned and we both thought that we could taste cumin rather than cinnamon. Nethertheless, it was a poor effort. Overall, I would go out of my way to enjoy the cocktails here but wouldn't rush back for the food.

The interior was incredible, honestly anyone who hasn't been should 100% go and visit this restaurant where the atmosphere is so iconic. Food vise - amazing, incredible flavours. Had octopus for starter, steak for main and pistachio tiramisu for dessert, 20/10. Could not fault this restaurant.

What a great find! An ample selection of mains.. myself and my partner were struggling to pick 2 mains so we went for 3 and skipped starters. All the dishes were great and they have a special offer on the fish every Tuesday (Any fish dish for ÂŁ15). 3 mains, 2 mocktails, baklava to share, a bottle of water and service charge all came in at under ÂŁ100 which I felt was very reasonable. The service is also top notch! Highly recommended.

Visited Silvanas for the first time last night. What an absolute delight. Service was first class. Attentive but not pushy. Very warm welcome and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious and we were able to take our time in the relaxed atmosphere and not made to feel like we needed to finish up as soon as we had finished, unlike some other nearby restaurants. Will definitely be visiting again soon to try out some of the other wonderful dishes. I can see this becoming a firm favourite when dining in Farnham

What a great addition to Farnham! I’m not usually one to write reviews but feel Silvana’s restaurant is one to visit! The service from Dan, Sonny and Sophie was warm, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much hassle and you can tell every staff member cares. Food was delicious, great variety on the menu, busy and social atmosphere, and the wine list provided the perfect accompaniment! I arranged a surprise dinner here for my dad's birthday in September. It was a large booking and there were 15 of us. The atmosphere, food, drinks and service were incredible. All the staff are attentive and fun. The food was mouthwatering, especially the steak. They kept bringing the BBQ food to the table on the red / green disc system and it worked so well. It was a wonderful evening and we will definitely be back. There was PLENTY of food to go around. You won't leave this place hungry! Try this small business out, they are amazing.

Nice pub with the great location. We went there for Sunday Roast, the portion was good size, beef was done very well, potatoes were a bit dry but as they gave us more gravy it tasted very good. Pub is quite small but they have conservatory and also lots of sits available outside if the weather is good.

We have been to Spotted Cow on a few ocassions now. We had a range of food for sunday including sunday roast, pizzas and other varieties. Sunday roast beef was good. It was nicely layered but the potatoes were a bit dry so needed gravy, yorkshire pudding was perfect. Pizzas looked from a stone oven so i shall definitely be trying those. Desserts were great. The cheesecake and sticky toffee both looked and tasted amazing. Will be back.

Great hidden gem just outside Farnham, hadn’t been here for years decided to give it a try on the recommendation of friends who still live nearby. Very welcoming staff and the pub is dog friendly which was a bonus. There is a designated area inside if you’re dining with the pooch or an extensive outside area. Food was excellent , service was great and overall a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal or a few drinks.

I recently visited The Spotted Cow Pub in Farnham, and despite it being a bit of a journey, it was absolutely worth it. The interior is charming and cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I ordered the chicken and chorizo skewers, which were accompanied by grilled vegetables and a refreshing minty sauce. The skewers were flavourful, and the combination with the vegetables and sauce was delightful. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, and I will definitely be returning to The Spotted Cow. It’s a hidden gem that’s well worth the visit.
