Honestly this is the best Mexican food I've had! Nicely cooked with really tantalising and interesting flavours. The chicken and chorizo fajitas are outstanding! Definitely one not to miss if you like Mexican food 😃

I found this place as I wanted to celebrate my late sister’s birthday with some mexican food (as it was her favorite growing up). Though as an American, I’ve been hard-pressed to find much authentic Mexican food in England, and even more so outside central London. Decided to give this place a try, and was absolutely not disappointed! We had the Chimichanga, Taquitos, Quesadillas, Churros and Margaritas! All was absolutely delicious! The beef and chicken was really well cooked, the tortillas were all super crispy and not at all oily or greasy, and the fillers were fresh and well seasoned! The staff was super-friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was super fun and really reminded me of some mom-and-pop Mexican restaurants you'd find back in the US. I can also honestly say the outside of the place looks like no other building I’ve seen here either, the colors and deco are super fun and vibrant. We will definitely be back!

Found this lovely little restaurant whilst staying at a nearby hotel. The decor and background music really suits. The friendly staff are attentive and efficient. This is a small place with only six tables inside. As a result there were only two staff members. There was quite a wait between ordering and receiving our meal, BUT the wait was well worth it. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Very good portion sizes and cooked to perfection was the best mexican food I've eaten in the UK. If you are in the area I would certainly recommend popping in, you won't be disappointed.

Fab evening... we're both gluten free and there was plenty to choose from, a lot of the menu can be adapted so it was great! The cocktails and the tequila were great and I was officially converted to a lover of Margaritas. Would recommend 👌 . Thanks for a wonderful night.

Took my Canadian cousin today for last food before going home, he loved it, ticked all the boxes, authentic, good quality food, friendly service. It doesn't need to look fancy, it was clean with lots of clients - that says a lot. If you don't want the big chain boring fayre but prefer something like home cooked breakfast check it out.

This is a really good Indian restaurant. The food is great! The service is very good. The atmosphere in the main dining area is very pleasant. The dining at the back has less atmosphere, but that may suit. The only reason I didn’t give 5 is there is always room to be wowed! However, this is a great restaurant. Give it a go👍

An impromptu night down the river and stopped in on an old favourite. Haven't been hear in many years. Food is still delicious. The hosts were great. Definitely will recommend and come back :)

Impeccable 5 stars! The hospitality was beyond amazing and the food was perfectly made. Delicious and authentic. Compliments to the chef! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for heartwarming food. We were treated with after eight chocolates at the end too!

Since I’ve moved back to Sunbury I’ve been desperately looking for some top quality breakfast, and I’m absolutely delighted to have come across this place during my morning walk. An absolute vibe and top quality British food. Had the breakfast burger with a coffee and chips and all I have to say is wow, they do not skimp out on the fillings had a packed burger with beautifully fried onions sausage bacon and egg with a couple of beef patties. Chips were nostalgic and remind me of when I went to snake and ladders as a child. Coffee was alright and it’s nice they offer it, this has been a brilliant start to my day and is probably the best breakfast I’ve found so far. The value is mad and I’d pay more I will definitely be coming here often. They even have tables and chairs and have proper plates so you can dine in.

This is our local Indian restaurant of choice. Visiting since April 2021 We have taken family and friends to this place and let me tell you it does not disappoint. The service is great and the food is very tasty. We will keep visiting and bringing people over ;)

From start to end this was an experience like no other. Everything left you wanting more, much more! Those copper pots hold so much especially rice. It was a birthday treat for my partner and i mentioned this in passing. The last picture shows that no matter the size of the gesture it meant everything. If youre looking for a run of the mill indian restaurant then go elsewhere. This is definitely somewhere very special that serves incredible food. We cannot wait to go back. My recommendation of the year without a doubt

This quaint little pub is well worth a visit if you're in the area and want a quick refresher. Popped in after the colour run and they were very hospitable and friendly. The service was a little slow but I do think they were overwhelmed by the amount of people that chose to come by after the run, I dont think slow service is the norm here. We really enjoyed our drink in the beer garden, should I ever be out that way again I'll definitely stop by!

Staff always so friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced and good food. It's a small family run pub so you really feel cosy and looked after. Tracey is amazing and Tony the Landlord is just so affable and really ensures your wellbeing and comfort. Beer garden is lovely in summer and being closed off, it is great for kids! Will be visiting this little gem a lot!

"Second favourite wedding ever" was the comment from one of our married guests. From our initial meeting with Kat, our fine tuning the menu choices and format for the day she was exceptional - Lud, Kat and the whole team looked after 90 of us for 8 hours without a single blip! Knowledgeable, friendly and professional - We could not have been happier with the way the day went, the food. the location, the team and the occasion - Best day ever!

Had a roast dinner here and couldn't fault it: the vegan wellington was outstanding. Good portion size and value for money, everything was cooked really well and tasted amazing. Staff were friendly and attentive and service was quick. I'll definitely be back again.

I was photographer for a wedding where the reception was held at The Magpie. I found the pub to be warm and welcoming, the staff incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the view over the river was beautiful! I stayed just long enough for the food to be served and I'm glad I did - the bride and groom said to take some with me and it did not disappoint. The burger sliders and the fish finger sandwiches were particularly exceptional! Definitely would recommend for any party or event!

I’ve given this pub 5-Stars for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s a proper old-Skool pub which is refreshing amongst all the fake chain pubs. Secondly it’s a great location, large beer garden that’s a cracking spot on the river, with benches right down to the water. Thirdly, good choice of drinks always served quickly which is becoming a rarity with hospitality staff in such short supply since Covid. And last but not least, the food is excellent too. We took my little boy for lunch last weekend, his portion of nuggets, chips and peas was spot on. We had tapas which was lovely, we’ll definitely be frequenting more often.

We fancied tapas and our usual venue was booked solid at lunch time. A quick Google search for tapas found the Phoenix, plus it was by the river. They don't take bookings but upon arrival we found several suitable tables outside. The tapas menu was limited but what we ordered was very tasty, they had one of my favourite tapas; shallow fried chorizo in olive oil. If eating outside, you order and pay for food and drink at the outside bar.

Great unpretentious pub with nice food and pleasant staff. I made two visits - on the first night I hadBrakespere ale which was pretty average. There was Directors available but it’s a bit strong for driving. I turned to Guinness, which was excellent.

Popped in for a drink on the terrace. Good selection of beers on draught. We sat outside on the front terrace benches. Plenty of space with a convenient outside bar. Staff are all friendly and efficient.

Away with work and it was decided that Chinese was the order of the evening. Had a quick look on Google and this place popped up as being an all you can eat but the food is freshly cooked to order. So off we went, a 5 minute drive and found parking behind the restaurant which gives an hours free parking but after 7pm it's free. We arrived at 6pm so got the hours free and went in. We hadn't booked and it was busy, but the lovely staff managed to fit us in and explained how it worked and off we went. Honestly I've never been in a Chinese restaurant where the quality of the food was so good and served so quickly. Everything was hot & tasty, and top notch. The staff were just brilliant, especially the lady with the glasses who recommended the hot and sour soup and it truly was lovely. If you're in the area, give it a go, you won't be disappointed. 🥂

A great buffet at £25 per person on a Saturday or £24 any other day of the week. The food was great, especially the salt shrimp. It was westernised Chinese food as opposed to authentic/traditional cuisine, which is the only reason that I can't give 5 stars. Moon in moon is a great restaurant, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend you visit!

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday, early evening with 2 friends. Was immediately struck by how noisy it was by the little children who were also dining there. Unfortunately, for the first hour, our conversation was interrupted by absolute screeching. However, the service was impeccable, the staff were quick, attentive and friendly and the food was very good. This is " Eat as much as you like" restaurant for one set price and we all thought we'd ordered plenty as we were all very full but the waiters kept saying, "do you want to order more" ? We did find room for a sweet and this is charged extra for. The whole experience was a good one only let down by the noisy kids but would go back again but perhaps at a later time in the evening 😉
