Versova Restaurant
105 High St, Horsell, Woking GU21 4SU, UK | Restaurant P: 01483 761144
Rating: 4.8 (194) Price Level:
We booked for dinner at 7.30pm and had a wonderful greeting as we were taken to a perfect table. We ordered a Watermelon Daiquiri (so good I had a second!) and a Cobra to drink along with a few starters. The food was AMAZING! So tasty beautifully presented throughout, and moreish as well as very good portion sizes. The mains were just beautiful and again so tasty and portion sizes very good. We brought what we couldn’t finish home as it would have been a crime to leave it as it was that good!! The waiting staff were perfect, never too much but always there when needed & helped us pick the right things for us as well as giving us a break after our starters so we could enjoy our mains fully. I was also really impressed as the staff triple checked there were no nuts for me with my allergy in the dishes I was having which was really reassuring for me. I can’t wait to come back and am excited to change our normal take away to Versova as the chicken tikka and garlic naan was the best I’ve ever had!! The photos I took do not do this food justice! If you are in the Woking area book in and go as you will not be disappointed!

Really yummy food, meat and fish dishes we had were cooked to perfection! Juicy prawns, lollipop chicken and lamb chops. The decor is fabulous too. Only small opinions on the rest: Music could have been a little louder as could hear the table next to us as the tables are quite close to each other. Candles were being blown out after guests left making the room smell of burning, could possibly use a candle snuffer to reduce that. Nice that they use real candles though. For some reason weren't given a dessert menu after our mains, not sure if they have desserts or not. It was not a super busy evening so maybe they left us to enjoy and take our time and didn't feel rushed, which was a positive. Lovely evening overall and can't wait to try different dishes next time!

Amazing service, sincere and welcoming smiles, and lots of attention from the staff. Food is different from most Indian restaurants - by the way it is prepared and presented. Menu is not too big, which is great - means easier to ensure quality of ingredients, less wastage. Was welcomed with free amuse-bouche, same with deserts for me and my partner. Even though I could pay for both next time as both really tasty. Great addition to Woking. Definitely, I will be back.

Absolutely incredible experience! Must go to! Delicious food, big compliments to the chef! Our server was Param - very kind, passionate, and attentive! Atmosphere was romantic, everyone was seated with tables in between so it was cosy yet spacious. Ordered - lamp chops, chicken lollipop, chow pati chaat, and paani puri for starters with butter chicken for mains. We loved the lamb chops so much we ordered more after the mains and ordered some more food for the day after...

Our meal at Versova surpassed all expectations! I’d read amazing reviews and followed the news of the restaurant opening so was very excited to come here for my anniversary celebration. The service was exemplary- very friendly and hospitable while also not rushing us through. We went for most of the recommended dishes and were so pleased that we did! All food was expertly and thoughtfully prepared and we savoured all of it - lots of depth of flavour and very fresh. I couldn’t fault a thing and can only praise the excellent food and service! I can’t wait to return to try more of the menu - would highly recommend!!!

I never really leave reviews but I tried the grand taj tonight as a delivery and it was absolutely delicious. So flavoursome. Arrived hot. It will definitely be my new go to Indian takeaway. Keep up the great quality & I'm sure your customers will keep coming back.

Amazing place to eat!! Never been to an all you can eat Indian restaurant before and it was simply delicious. The food was great, cooked so well and lots of choices to pick from. The staff where so helpful and caring it was amazing to see how much they enjoy their work. Will definitely be back again soon (especially for the Elvis presley night)

We visited for the second time to try the Sunday buffet. The selection of food was excellent and every dish was absolutely delicious; each had its own distinct flavour. Considering you get poppadoms, chutney, naan bread and a dessert included in the price, this has to be the best value meal in the area. All the staff are friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is spacious and welcoming. We shall certainly be going back!

Yesterday, I had the chance to dine in there (The Grand Taj Knaphill) with my friend. The food was good and atmosphere was lovely. Rahim who attended us there was very hospitable and made us comfortable there. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience !!

I have used this restaurant 4 times now and every visit has been great. The food, the service and value for money. I’d recommend eating here to everyone. The best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I took my Mum and her friend a couple of weeks ago and they looked after us brilliantly. My Mum is particularly sighted and finds it difficult to walk. The staff were amazing and looked after her and they were very patient.

We held a birthday party with 40 people here recently. From the owners to the wait staff, they were all fabulous Helpful and efficient. Patient in waiting for all of our guests to take their time between courses. Managed to serve out prosecco to all guests on arrival. They cut and serve our cake at the end! A lovely evening was had by all of us. Great venue, with multiple areas to reserve,or just go there for a meal anytime. Thank you Salvo and team!

I've been 3 times now and it's been brilliant each time! The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff are excellent 👍 This has become my new favourite place to go for special occasions.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very authentic Italian restaurant. Amazing food and atmosphere with a lake side view. Has seatings indoors and outdoor with the warmth of Italian music and light. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Rating: 5 / 5
A lovely place to dine. The restaurant is sitting right in the heart of St Johns with a large parking space. Plenty of space inside and outside. The food was fabulous. I especially loved the Mussels. Wife loved the pizza. Plenty of wine to choose from. Like any other authentic Italian places, it is run by italians in and out. As an Indian, I had trouble pronouncing some names, but the lovely lady helped me with the menu. We also had the Tiramisu. One of the creamiest Tiramisu ever I had in the UK. All in all, a wonderful place and will definitely visit again.

A great choice if you are after authentic Italian. The food was freshly prepared and hot. The service was well paced and considerate. The atmosphere was just right. 5 of us were there for 3 hours and nothing was too much trouble. Reccomended.

The Glasshouse by Seasons
Lavershot Barn, London Rd, Windlesham GU20 6LL, UK | Restaurant P: 01276 408550
Rating: 4.5 (287) Price Level:
A great spot for breakfast, brunch/lunch or dinner. The waitress today was very friendly and warm! The food was delicious and presented beautifully. I plan to make it a regular spot to visit with friends and family. I’ve been before and I love all the natural light and how it’s got good parking! Also you can potter around shops after a meal. I also find it very kid friendly
Rating: 5 / 5
Gluten free and dairy free options on the menu. Often come here for weekday lunches and the food and drinks are always very good. Service is excellent too. Enjoyed the vegetarian “bhaji burger” on a gluten free bun.
Rating: 5 / 5
Food is lovely. Beautiful setting. The desserts are the star. Not too sweet and amazing. We had crumble, sticky toffee pudding and Yule logs. All incredible. Perfect lunch!

A lovely dinner at the glasshouse tonight. The food was gorgeous, and the staff friendly especially Jana who served us, she was a delight, friendly, funny and seemed to genuinely care about our dining experience being a good one. You do pay for the quality of the food but when you consider what you get its actually pretty reasonable. Will defo be going back.

Another pleasant experience at The Glasshouse by Seasons. Beautiful restaurant and super lovely staff. Food was delicious, but we're disappointed to see how much the prices have gone up! We've been here a few times but with the increased prices we don't see ourselves visiting as much we'd like.

The Drumming Snipe
Guildford Rd, Mayford, Woking GU22 9QT, UK | Pub P: 01483 610010
Rating: 4.5 (607) Price Level:
Birthday meal with the hubby, asparagus, goats cheese and quail egg tart! All the flavours in a beautiful thin crust. The Cornish plaice was stunning, sweet, tasty and a good size portion and OMG the chocolate mousse was amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and very apologetic that they didn’t have port glasses for the excellent LBV we had after dinner. Marina you were great!
Rating: 5 / 5
My husband and I stopped by to have lunch yesterday. It was his first time. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we all enjoyed a glass of Prosecco alongside our lunch. The cost was astonishingly reasonable. They have recently introduced an entirely new menu. The chicken was amazing. Additionally, the ham hock was delicious and delightful, although I couldn't consume the entire dish. Without a doubt, we will return and enthusiastically recommend it.Five-star rating!

Superb festive lunch! Turkey with all the trimmings and every single thing on the plate was excellent. The two of us had experienced a Christmas meal each at other establishments and this was head and shoulders above both of those. To top it off this was also the cheapest. Seriously, don't go anywhere else!

Very nice Pub, with excellent Sunday roasts. Friendly staff and management and good bar service. There are plenty of parking spaces available. A nice place for the whole family.
Rating: 5 / 5
We came here for Sunday roast and it was fabulous! The food was all delicious, fresh and cooked to perfection. One of us had the chicken roast, one of us had the lamb roast and the other had to the beef roast. They were all great. Then we had Sticky Toffee Pudding, Apple Crumble and Caramelised Banana Split for dessert and they were all great too. The service was very good, staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back again!
Rating: 4 / 5
The outside area is really nice. Was with my family. The roast beef was really nice, and so was the seafood platter. However, my burger was very raw.
Rating: 5 / 5
Had a great experience at this lovely pub today. Came here with a friend for some food before a football match. Enjoyed a delicious 2 course lunch. The fish and chips for the main course was the best I've ever eaten. Really polite and friendly service from all the staff, especially Holly and Jamie. It was suggested by Jamie to leave the car in the car park of the pub and walk to the stadium as it was only just over a mile away. Great advice and a lovely gesture, saving a lot of hassle. I even enjoyed a pot of tea at the bar after the game before the drive home. The hospitality and food quality in this pub was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend the Bird in Hand to anyone. Thank you very much, hope to be back sometime.

The food we had here was delicious and the portion sizes were very good! We ate some nibbles and then some mains. I would highly recommend this pub. The service was excellent - unfortunately, a member of my family had a medical emergency at the end of our meal and the staff dealt with the situation extremely quickly, considerately and professionally. My family and I are very grateful for their help.

Bacaro
Bacaro, Unit 5, Harland House, 44 Commercial Way, Woking GU21 6HW, UK | Italian Restaurant P: 07703 740074
Rating: 4.7 (417) Price Level:
We visited Bacaro and met Adam the owner as we had a 40th birthday coming up and wanted to book the venue for a party. He kindly facilitated our needs and made the planning very easy. Food on the night freshly cooked and tasted wonderful. Service was fantastic and very friendly with a warm atmosphere. Cannot recommend highly enough for a party, or to try the food and hospitality for a meal out.
Rating: 5 / 5
This was our second visit to Bacaro. Food is consistently good. We had sausage pasta and seafood pasta this time and both were delicious. Beware, portions are quite generous :)
Rating: 4 / 5
Food looked amazing, although we only stopped by for a drink, I would consider coming back to eat. Atmosphere was great and service was fantastic, particularly John behind the bar. Love that you can see them cooking in the kitchen and decor was fab! Only downside was the cost, £15 for a bottle of beer and white wine spritz 😬. Pint and white wine spritz was £13.50
Rating: 5 / 5
We had a lovely meal in Bacaro prior to our theatre show. We had the pre theatre set menu which had a good and varied selection on it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was tasty and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was vibrant on a busy Saturday night.
Rating: 5 / 5
Absolutely gorgeous meal here tonight. Mussels were GORGEOUS. Lovely prawns for main and delicious sausage and ricotta pasta. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I am gluten intolerant and they were incredibly helpful explaining what was safe on the menu, and the gluten free pasta was cooked beautifully. Will definitely be back.

We had a good albeit late lunch here today. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The menu catered for all. We ate halloumi burgers followed by sticky toffee pudding. The food was well prepared. The dining area was light and airy. The whole place was clean and well presented.

Great menu, good value, very friendly, nice atmosphere! Superb food, punches above its weight with quality, value and taste. Highly recommend and compliments to all the staff (including chef)! Our waiter Jonny was superb, confident, friendly and professional, spot-on with his comments about menu dishes and wine - very refreshing to meet passionate staff that really care and know about food and drink. Highly recommend!

Lovely homely country pub, nice decor and very clean. Limited parking on site but nearby village parking available. Food excellent and friendly staff offered free prosecco for my birthday 👍
Rating: 5 / 5
I went here today with my son and daughter in law. We had a lovely lunch. It's a lovely old building with lots of character. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food was of a very high standard with a huge choice of dishes. I had the prawn cocktail to start and the crab as a main, filled by rhubarb crumble and ice cream. We all agreed the food was delicious and would highly recommend a visit.

Everything was great Atmosphere, Service, Food and drink apart from two issues. Firstly the small parking area is an issue with no space. Secondly one of 5 main dishes ordered was chicken but unfortunately it wasn't thoroughly cooked. It was pink on the inside. Thank you!

This is a firm favourite of ours when visiting Woking, which we usually do on a Sunday. The roasts are delicious and come with a good selection of veg. We always order the ice cream sundae for dessert. Can't fault.

I found this place whilst traveling as my Premier Inn restaurant was closed. They were so accommodating even though they were very busy. The food was delicious and the interior of the restaurant and the atmosphere were just beautiful. The prices were reasonable too. I would absolutely visit again if I was in the area. Thank you for saving my evening!

Some of my family met up there a couple of days after Xmas. We were going to be a party of 17 but reduced to 10 at 24hr notice due to bad health. Then most of the gang were almost an hour late due to the traffic on M25 but none of this fazed the wonderful attitude and service of the staff! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the atmosphere there, brilliant!! I will most certainly return to enjoy more of the menu!!!

Excellent. We have had most things on the menu and all was delicious. The roasted beetroot and carrot salad is a favorite. George makes the best Picante's (seriously, the other bartenders don't make them the same).

Inn At Maybury
1906 Maybury Hill, Woking GU22 8AB, UK | Bar P: 01483 722115
Rating: 4.5 (1426) Price Level:
Staff very friendly and food was good, three cheese 🍕 ordered, only one Ale on but to be honest it was nice. Would of been nice to have had a choice. Only bad thing I could think of is that the place itself is tired, the men's toilet wasn't clean, soap dispenser not attached to the wall. And could to with a good paint. Such a shame as last time I was here working here couple of years back it was immaculate. Time for a spruce up I reckon.

Great atmosphere! Shout to to Charlie who served my family :) Such a kind, caring and attentive waiter. BEST service in a pub I have ever experienced. The food was incredible and it has a lovely atmosphere. We hope to be served by Charlie again, such a great server!

Amazing service and delicious food. Thank you Harry for making my friends birthday so special
Rating: 5 / 5
We celebrated our Twins Sacrament of Confirmation and Harry and Alice were amazing. Super attentive to my guest requests and they both made the day enjoyable with no stress. We selected 10 items from the pre set menu and all of the food distributed was delicious 😋. Even our guests made comments to advise that all of the food outstanding. Harry took care of us from when I made the booking, up until the end of the event. Alice took care of the guests requests on the day and they both checked in to ensure that we were OK with everything. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts. You made the day super enjoyable.

We just had a fabulous sunday lunch. A really friendly place that was very accommodating to our dietary needs. They substituted oil for butter and instrad of Potatoes gave me extra veg as on Atkins. This was all organised by our super friendly and helpful waitress, Evie, who couldn't do enough for us! I was in Hakkassan in Mayfair last night and the price was 4 times this, and the service was better here! The seabass was crispy and tasty and the beef was yummy and wholesome on a grey day.
