The best Mediterranean restaurant I've been to. Delicious food, good size portions and a lot of interesting options (including seafood & veggies) on the menu. My partner and I both agreed we wouldn't have changed a single thing about the food. Also, very stylish place and great service.

What a gem of a place. Popped in unannounced and was greeted immediately by the staff and was given a table. Super service, team very friendly and actually take the time to talk to you dispute them being busy. I ordered the mixed grill and couldn’t finish it, it was huge and tasted amazing, in-fact the best I’ve ever tasted. This is a must to visit you won’t be dissapointed.

This restaurant has become one of my favorites in the Epsom area. The food was delicious and came in generous portions. I couldn't even finish my main course, the chicken thigh shish, after starting with a lentil soup and their delicious warm bread. I also enjoyed a beautifully presented non-alcoholic cocktail. The prices were reasonable, and we paid the same amount for our meal as we did at a Japanese restaurant the day before, but here the portions were bigger. We also really liked the interior and the fact that the tables were spaced apart, giving us a more private dining experience. The table by the window where we were sitting was well separated from the others, which was especially important to us. Many restaurants these days have tables placed too close together, making it hard to enjoy a meal without overhearing other people's conversations. The waitstaff was also very friendly and attentive, adding to the great experience we had.

First time visiting here. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by very nice staff and shown to our table. Our waiter Sam was great and very professional. There were 9 of us in total from ages 5 -88 and everyone of us enjoyed our food. The menu is fantastic. This place is in my top 3 now where I have eaten out on a Sunday. We will definitely be returning in the very near future.

We had sunday lunch here today. Firstly the welcome was excellent and our waitress was really lovely! I had the trio of roasts, and it looked really good. My friends had the seabass and prawns. They enjoyed their fish and it was cooked well. They had the same veg as i had with my roast, which was a bit odd. It was amedley of carrots and cabbage. They lacked flavour and weren't seasoned. In to the roasts. It looked ok and was cooked pretty well, but everything lacked flavour and seasoning. The gravy tasted like powdered gravy. I had horseradish, which was hot and spicy. The cranberry sause was nice with the chicken, but they had no red currant jelly for the lamb.. which is a big oversight! Lastly the roast potatoes werent crispy or cruchy at all. Overall it just lacked flavour!!

A lovely restaurant! Had the best lamb roast dinner and the crème brûlée was devine. Service was excellent! Will definitely return.

We were there in June for the first time, for celebrating my son’s first Holy Communion, and we had such an amazing lunch! Both Alex and Lorraine (I hope I remember their names correctly!) were very attentive and kind, and so patient with all the kids! We had tables for 22 people so it was busy for them, but they were just perfect: the food was amazing, all of our guests loved everything, from the starters (fried calamari, chicken satay, prawn cocktail..) to the mains (lamb ramp - the best I’ve ever had! - sea bass and prawns, soups..), to the desserts (warm chocolate brownie, trifle chocolate cake, lemon sorbet, ice cream..). I couldn’t recommend this place enough, the location is lovely, there’s a beautiful garden and nice rooms. I was in contact via email with Grace and her colleagues for pre-ordering all the choices from the menu, and everything went smooth and perfect. I will definitely go back there again, I would give 1000 stars if I could!

This is our first visit and we are very pleased with food and the atmosphere. The service was great as well. We enjoyed our meals and we will visit again. The pistachio tiramisu is very delicious.

Great place. Friendly service and nice food. Good menu with a good vegetarian choice. Obviously doing something right as pretty much full on Thursday evening.

We've been a number of times over the years. We keep going back because the food is delicious, the steak and kidney pudding is my favourite, the calves liver is a very close second. Service is friendly and professional. And we're not hurried in any way. It's always a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

My first visit to the pub. We were there for a wedding reception. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious! I can't say more.... Other than try it for yourself. I'll be back to eat again.

Before I moved to epsom this was my local. I came here for a meal today and the service and staff were lovely. Beautiful food and warm cosy atmosphere. We are coming here again in January. You can’t beat the quality of the food here and the service. Thank you. Update - the grumpy mole did a fantastic job with my Nans wake yesterday the staff went above and beyond and the whole experience was very lovely. Thank you so much to all the team at grumpy mole. We really appreciate it. We also came here for my partners birthday. He had the steak on the stone and what a fantastic experience. The food here is top quality and the staff are so lovely. They go above and beyond here.

We hired the whole restaurant for my 60th and had the best time, with the most delicious food and fantastic service. We couldn’t have been looked after any better. The whole team are exceptional -proactive and highly responsive when needed. We had a fantastic dj too so danced the night away after eating. The belly dancer added even more ambience to a great time had by all. Thank you everyone there. More than highly recommend you all.

Good food, good place. I went on a Friday and it was way too noisy for my liking. Cocktails were great, for starters i had grilled halloumi cheese i think that was the best highlight of my evening. I we ordered starters and mains just like you would in any other restaurant, to my surprise everything was delivered at once so the table was suffocating with food. Buy the time we finished with the starters the food was ice cold so u couldn’t even eat half of my steak, was really disappointed with that. Otherwise it’s a nice place.

A beautiful place to dine and for celebration's with the family. The food is delicious, and the service was 100% and very attentive to your needs. I enjoyed myself immensely with my daughter.

Good range of beers and largers very friendly staff and great food that is reasonably priced. Nicely decorated but definitely not over the top, large car park highly recommend, top tip try the home made steak pie.

We were a party of four for lunch. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and quantities generous.. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would go again.

Had a family birthday meal and the food was lovely! A good wide choice to cater for every palette and excellent service from the young lady who looked after us on the night! Very attentive, very good service, nothing was too much trouble!

We enjoyed an excellent Christmas Lunch. It was the first time we had ever dined out in place of cooking. The service was attentive and friendly. The Galu Restaurant enjoys a good reputation and loyal clientele for a good reason- outstanding food and ambience. It's a high class venue . The garlic and chilli king prawns were delicious. The kleftiko the most delicious I have ever tasted. My family became somewhat full after 2 courses. I tried some of their sea bass and roast turkey- all excellent. The date and toffee pudding was light and fluffy , exquisite flavours. A 10/10.

One of the best steaks I've had for a long time! Good food all round, excellent service, evening was swinging with good tunes, plus well behaved groups from various companies and the general public!

Excellent service, a warm welcome and great hosts. Food was very good and piping hot. Very lively atmosphere the music was possibly a bit too loud in the restaurant itself as it made conversation quite difficult. Perhaps I'm getting old! Definitely worth a visit and hopefully we will be there again soon.

Not the friendliest of bar staff yesterday, didnt seem happy that we called in for nothing more than a cup of tea but we were allocated a table and having browsed at a menu, my friend and I ended up ordering a lovely meal, a main & dessert! Friendly waitress and food was served quickly, warm and fresh.

Me and my partner really enjoyed our meal tonight. Served by the lovely Maya the service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. We would definitely go back and try other dishes. Plenty of parking spaces as well.

Just had a lovely 3 course lunch. Very reasonably priced, really nice steak sandwich, and friendly professional service in a nicely presented pub. Couldn’t ask for more - and my son was paying!!

Wonderful atmosphere in a proper old English pub restaurant. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and a wonderful atmosphere. We were passing and popped in for lunch, Christmas decorations are up and Christmas songs, lovely :) My wife is vegetarian and had Butternut squash which she said was delicious. I had the steak and ale pie...wow! Best steak pie I've ever had, a proper pie with pastry all round (none of that stuff in a dish with a pastry lid) it was packed full of good quality steak, highly recommend. Will definitely return :) Thanks for a great service and great food.

After not visiting the Dukes Head since 2012, I went back there yesterday for Sunday lunch with some friends. What a difference. Oh my goodness, the staff were all lovely, the Landlord was wonderful. The service was so good and the food was delicious and properly home made (not home cooked....big difference). Hopefully going back within the week. Very Happy Customer.

Visited here for the first time for lunch with our celioac son. Plenty on offer for him, which makes a lovely change. The food and beer were really nice, served by some pleasant friendly staff. Will certainly be back.

A great find on a 10 mile country walk. Greatcovered garden space and plenty of tables indoors. Even has a bar in the garden! Good prices for the food.

What a lovely surprise to find this gorgeous country pub. The garden is delightful and I am sure very popular in the summer. From the car park, you are led down a pathway lit by twinkly lights, very pretty. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and seated in the cosy restaurant. The food was amazing! It was the best pie I have ever had and my partner really enjoyed the burger. The prices are very reasonable too. This place is an absolute hidden gem, definitely our favourite, we will return! Thank you so much for such a lovely experience. 12/10! Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a place, and I strongly recommend it! We have been there once before with some friends and this time we took my parents for a special occasion. The staff were very friendly and catered to all our requests, especially when it came to the food (for fussy children). The atmosphere is great whenever you go and the food is delicious. Everything is reasonably priced, including the drinks. We loved it and will definitely be going back!!

So pleased I found this pub it is in a lovely quiet spot and only 20 mins up the road from me lots of space inside and out for seating. The food was really nice and the staff were friendly and polite would definitely recommend and will be back again.
