Before I moved to epsom this was my local. I came here for a meal today and the service and staff were lovely. Beautiful food and warm cosy atmosphere. We are coming here again in January. You can’t beat the quality of the food here and the service. Thank you. Update - the grumpy mole did a fantastic job with my Nans wake yesterday the staff went above and beyond and the whole experience was very lovely. Thank you so much to all the team at grumpy mole. We really appreciate it. We also came here for my partners birthday. He had the steak on the stone and what a fantastic experience. The food here is top quality and the staff are so lovely. They go above and beyond here.

Attended a Platinum Wedding Anniversary meal here for sixteen people. Good choices on the menu and truthfully one of the best meals l have ever had. Service, presentation & quality of food excellent. A lovely building and atmosphere, highly recommended.

We've been a number of times over the years. We keep going back because the food is delicious, the steak and kidney pudding is my favourite, the calves liver is a very close second. Service is friendly and professional. And we're not hurried in any way. It's always a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

First time visiting. A lovely warm welcome. The food and service were excellent in my opinion. A lovely place to visit. Will come back again soon.

Me and my partner really enjoyed our meal tonight. Served by the lovely Maya the service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. We would definitely go back and try other dishes. Plenty of parking spaces as well.

This pub is an absolute hidden gem! Our food was on point and the service was flawless. Our waiter couldn’t have been more accommodating, which made our blue anchor experience perfect! Thanks guys

Not the friendliest of bar staff yesterday, didnt seem happy that we called in for nothing more than a cup of tea but we were allocated a table and having browsed at a menu, my friend and I ended up ordering a lovely meal, a main & dessert! Friendly waitress and food was served quickly, warm and fresh.

Lovely little place to eat, we stopped off after a day out at Boxhill Park, great staff & very friendly, nice atmosphere, food was amazing, good selection of drinks, didn’t have enough space for dessert, but hey maybe next time.

First time visiting here. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by very nice staff and shown to our table. Our waiter Sam was great and very professional. There were 9 of us in total from ages 5 -88 and everyone of us enjoyed our food. The menu is fantastic. This place is in my top 3 now where I have eaten out on a Sunday. We will definitely be returning in the very near future.

We were there in June for the first time, for celebrating my son’s first Holy Communion, and we had such an amazing lunch! Both Alex and Lorraine (I hope I remember their names correctly!) were very attentive and kind, and so patient with all the kids! We had tables for 22 people so it was busy for them, but they were just perfect: the food was amazing, all of our guests loved everything, from the starters (fried calamari, chicken satay, prawn cocktail..) to the mains (lamb ramp - the best I’ve ever had! - sea bass and prawns, soups..), to the desserts (warm chocolate brownie, trifle chocolate cake, lemon sorbet, ice cream..). I couldn’t recommend this place enough, the location is lovely, there’s a beautiful garden and nice rooms. I was in contact via email with Grace and her colleagues for pre-ordering all the choices from the menu, and everything went smooth and perfect. I will definitely go back there again, I would give 1000 stars if I could!

I didn't have particular high expectations from having a lunch at this place but came out loving the experience. Team is great, Food is delicious, varied, the desserts are excellent and there is 0.0 on the tap. Will be back.

A lovely restaurant! Had the best lamb roast dinner and the crème brûlée was devine. Service was excellent! Will definitely return.

Lovely pub with very nice food and good beer. Recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. We had a selection of starters on a nice sunny afternoon on their terrace area! Worth a visit.

So pleased I found this pub it is in a lovely quiet spot and only 20 mins up the road from me lots of space inside and out for seating. The food was really nice and the staff were friendly and polite would definitely recommend and will be back again.

This is a gem of a place, and I strongly recommend it! We have been there once before with some friends and this time we took my parents for a special occasion. The staff were very friendly and catered to all our requests, especially when it came to the food (for fussy children). The atmosphere is great whenever you go and the food is delicious. Everything is reasonably priced, including the drinks. We loved it and will definitely be going back!!

A great find on a 10 mile country walk. Greatcovered garden space and plenty of tables indoors. Even has a bar in the garden! Good prices for the food.

This is our first visit and we are very pleased with food and the atmosphere. The service was great as well. We enjoyed our meals and we will visit again. The pistachio tiramisu is very delicious.

Had a family birthday meal and the food was lovely! A good wide choice to cater for every palette and excellent service from the young lady who looked after us on the night! Very attentive, very good service, nothing was too much trouble!

Good range of beers and largers very friendly staff and great food that is reasonably priced. Nicely decorated but definitely not over the top, large car park highly recommend, top tip try the home made steak pie.

After not visiting the Dukes Head since 2012, I went back there yesterday for Sunday lunch with some friends. What a difference. Oh my goodness, the staff were all lovely, the Landlord was wonderful. The service was so good and the food was delicious and properly home made (not home cooked....big difference). Hopefully going back within the week. Very Happy Customer.

Visited here for the first time for lunch with our celioac son. Plenty on offer for him, which makes a lovely change. The food and beer were really nice, served by some pleasant friendly staff. Will certainly be back.

Wonderful atmosphere in a proper old English pub restaurant. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and a wonderful atmosphere. We were passing and popped in for lunch, Christmas decorations are up and Christmas songs, lovely :) My wife is vegetarian and had Butternut squash which she said was delicious. I had the steak and ale pie...wow! Best steak pie I've ever had, a proper pie with pastry all round (none of that stuff in a dish with a pastry lid) it was packed full of good quality steak, highly recommend. Will definitely return :) Thanks for a great service and great food.

Excellent service, a warm welcome and great hosts. Food was very good and piping hot. Very lively atmosphere the music was possibly a bit too loud in the restaurant itself as it made conversation quite difficult. Perhaps I'm getting old! Definitely worth a visit and hopefully we will be there again soon.

One of the best steaks I've had for a long time! Good food all round, excellent service, evening was swinging with good tunes, plus well behaved groups from various companies and the general public!

We enjoyed an excellent Christmas Lunch. It was the first time we had ever dined out in place of cooking. The service was attentive and friendly. The Galu Restaurant enjoys a good reputation and loyal clientele for a good reason- outstanding food and ambience. It's a high class venue . The garlic and chilli king prawns were delicious. The kleftiko the most delicious I have ever tasted. My family became somewhat full after 2 courses. I tried some of their sea bass and roast turkey- all excellent. The date and toffee pudding was light and fluffy , exquisite flavours. A 10/10.

Had a lovely meal, with excellent service, here on a Saturday night. It was almost empty at 6pm when we got there but it was packed when we left about 730pm. The service is very good and the food (sea bass and pork belly) was delicious. One thing I would say is that as the evening carries on the restaurant does start to have a ‘bar’ feel to it, both the loud noise and the young over-dressed clientele. I’m only in my mid forties so maybe I’m just getting old!

Amazing hospitality and service. The staff were all so welcoming and very responsive to their guests and perfectly accommodating for the whole family. Gorgeous restaurant with beautiful scenery. The food was 10/10, fresh and full of flavour with delightful desserts. The beef burger was a personal favourite! Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner with friends or family!

A great place for an early dinner after a day in Epsom. We had a mixed grill and pan fried seabass. Both were excellent and hot with warm plates. Pud’s were very basic and not homemade, but acceptable.

We had the most WONDERFUL meal out here to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The food was so delicious, we really recommend the fajitas! The vegetarian options were brilliant, there were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try. The cocktails were AMAZING - so fabulous. The service was amazing, the waiters were so attentive. They made my sister’s birthday very special and she had such a great night. The atmosphere was relaxed, great music, lovely setting and decorations. My Dad says ‘the best restaurant experience I’ve had in years and I eat out all the time’ Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more - you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you so much for making our evening so memorable - we will see you soon!

A beautiful place to dine and for celebration's with the family. The food is delicious, and the service was 100% and very attentive to your needs. I enjoyed myself immensely with my daughter.

Lovely atmosphere, great food

Good food, good place. I went on a Friday and it was way too noisy for my liking. Cocktails were great, for starters i had grilled halloumi cheese i think that was the best highlight of my evening. I we ordered starters and mains just like you would in any other restaurant, to my surprise everything was delivered at once so the table was suffocating with food. Buy the time we finished with the starters the food was ice cold so u couldn’t even eat half of my steak, was really disappointed with that. Otherwise it’s a nice place.

We hired the whole restaurant for my 60th and had the best time, with the most delicious food and fantastic service. We couldn’t have been looked after any better. The whole team are exceptional -proactive and highly responsive when needed. We had a fantastic dj too so danced the night away after eating. The belly dancer added even more ambience to a great time had by all. Thank you everyone there. More than highly recommend you all.
