This was our first trip having driven past it so many times. Kicking ourselves following our visit today. Beautiful location, with a really cosy but classic interior design. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was top class. Will certainly be returning!

Great place to meet friends fir a fantastic cut of beef .. A little off the beaten track but worth a detor or a trip in itself. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in a classic, rural setting. Highly recommend

This was my second visit and it was just as fantastic as the first. The staff were incredibly friendly, the meals arrived quickly, and the chef even came to speak with us, adding a personal touch. Delicious food and excellent service. I can’t wait to come back!

Went back today for lunch and was surprised at the size of the burger, all home made and very good. Asked about vine leaves as not on the menu and spoke to the owner chef and within tens minutes I had a plate of them freshly made and they were excellent. Will return soon and try out the top gardens as they look lovely. We'll done guys keep up the great standard

We held a murder mystery party at Yiayias! I don’t think we could rate it highly enough! Paul made it all run smoothly and nothing was a problem! The waiting staff were incredible. We wanted simple food with a greek touch and it was DELICIOUS! The evening was a complete success!

Just been for dinner with my family food was authentic and delicious! Staff very friendly and professional food arrived on time me my partner and 2 kids loved it we didn’t manage to finish our food as portions were very good size so we took it home thank you for a lovely experience i would highly recommend this place we have allready booked again for next week ! Can’t wait to try the other dishes !

Oh my goodness!. 10mins from home and my new favourite. Amazing play centre for small/middle sized kids. They're open by the looks of things all day and it's just beautiful! Let me say that again, it's beautiful. Come, drink, eat and be merry!

Sunday in November 2024 - We knew it would be busy as we couldn't get a table until 14.45. It was heaving. When I went to sit down at my place, I noticed the table hadn't been cleaned very well. I pointed this out and someone hurriedly wiped a cloth over most of the spillage, probably gravy. Later, when I picked up my napkin, it had stuck to the table on another dirty spot. For these reasons, I was going to rate 3 stars but the food was very good so I rated 4 stars. A previous comment included a pic of one slice of roast beef. My wife ordered that and her food portion was ample, as were everyone's - no complaints there. The servers were polite and friendly but at times we had a long wait. This was especially true of our puddings so I asked for the bill when they were brought over. We were four adults and one 3-year-old and our lunch took 2 and 3/4 hours which is rather a long time, especially for a small child.

Thank you to the team at Barley Mow Tilford for a warm welcome on New Year’s Eve. You reserved us a great table and the musicians were superb. I particularly loved the Crowded House number which the singer performed with his daughter. Absolutely beautiful. We look forward to coming back for another cosy pint.

Great country pub on the green. Spacious rear garden away from cricket balls (match was in progress). Good drink and food options at reasonable prices.

Our first visit to this amazing place. Picture perfect location facing the village green and next to medieval bridge over the river. Wonderful bygone atmosphere inside and friendly welcoming staff. Without doubt the best meal out we've had in years, easy beating some upmarket / over priced eateries we've tried. Couldn't help but stare at everyone else's meals, all looked amazing. Our meals arrived incredibly quickly and after the first mouthful we both said "Wow" Definitely going to return regularly.

May 17th 2024. Arrived at 3:00 pm for late lunch early dinner. Sat outside with a blue spring sky above and a gentle breeze. I had : Poulet Breton Rôti 17.75 Responsibly reared in Northern France Corn-fed marinated roasted half chicken, served with confit potatoes and a herb salad 597 kcal With the Recommended with Sauce Diane 2.75 37 kcal Very tasty but looked like Chicken and chips! The herb salad was a few sprigs of parsley with a small slice of onion! It was cooked very well and was flavoursome. Seemed very expensive as we had to buy the greens also. The waiter was very helpful in letting us know that one portion would be enough for two people. My husband had : Fish Parmentier 15.75 Haddock, prawns & salmon in a white wine & leek sauce, topped with potato purée and a Comté crust, served with a herb salad 640 kcal It was delicious, I was informed. For pudding we had the apple Tarte Tatin which was superb and generous, with a decent scoop of ice cream. Because of the waiter’s help, the delicious tarte tatin and the lovely atmosphere, we would revisit. In fact the waiter was brilliant on every level, kind, chatty but not too much, attentive and made us feel important and well looked after.

What a magnificent find, just a short walk along the "Lion and Lamb Yard" is the Côte, a modern French brasserie with the most perfect Eggs Benedict, I have no reservations in recommending the Côte.

Regularly visit on weekends. Amazing place! We usually order desserts and eat outside. The food is absolutely delicious! The service is slightly slow for a small dessert but it's not a big hindrance. Overall I hugely recommend this place!

Visited with 2 colleagues after work on a Tuesday and were able to grab seats straight away. Service was very friendly and prompt. Food was good and consistent with other branches of Bills. One star knocked off as some of the food we ordered turned out to be not available. Would recommend coming here for a quick bite.

Amazing food and service at Bills Went this morning for their new £5 bottomless pancakes. I expected cheaply thrown together food but that was not what I got The pancakes were amazing with toppings put together very professionally, we had 3 types, Biscoff, fruits and bacon all three looked great and tasted amazing. We also topped up with bottomless hot drinks, the hot chocolates went down well in the cold weather. The team gave amazing service and made us very welcome. A perfect visit and for sure will be back. Highly recommended.

Lovely welcome on arrival, super friendly, and the staff were all so accommodating 😊. The beef burger (on sourdough bread as per my request) & fries were delicious!

Came here for Sunday brunch which was a good experience with friendly service. The eggs benedict was delicious and filling. The QR code service where you can split the bill and pay online is awesome and hopefully more food outlets follow suit and do this. Good value for money all in.

I recently visited the Princess Royal Hogs Back pub for a Christmas lunch, and it was absolutely delightful! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of festive flavors—truly a perfect start to the holiday season. Lovely atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon and friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be back for more!

The room was very clean and tidy, plenty of hot water and the staff were very helpful and friendly especially Joe and Tom! Breakfasts were very good with a wide choice thank you. We would definitely stay again 😊

We had a superb stay at the Princess Royal on New Years' Eve, which was booked last minute so we could attend a party nearby. The check-in was seamless, the room clean, luxurious, and peaceful, and the breakfast the next morning delicious and generous.

Went to a private function here on a Saturday night. Wasn't too busy, seemed to have a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive. Good drinks selection across the board and the buffet style food was delicious. My ideal type of pub!

Cakes are now moister than in recent months, thanks to a change in baker. Highly recommend the almond and orange cake. Delicate flavour and I discovered after I'd finished that it happens to be vegan. Sheltered by high trees, so good for shade. Tables well spaced out. Plenty of free parking, unless the Rural Life Centre is having an event.

Wonderful food- very fresh and tasty and good value for money. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. It’s also dog friendly.
