Lovely restaurant with excellent decoration. Always busy, even on a Monday night.. so make sure you book. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was polite and he had the best customer service I've seen for a while.

This was our second visit to the Greedy Elephant and once again the food was amazing. Last nightâs one of the most delicious meals Iâve ever eaten. The flavours were intoxicating! Highly recommend the seafood sizzling platter, mixed vegetables in oyster sauce and the beef and cashew nuts. The service was also impeccable, the staff a delight, knowledgeable and very very professional. Canât recommend highly enough and we canât wait to return!

Delicious Thai food that tastes really authentic. Perfect cosy night dining in or lazing outside in the garden on a sunny day. Great wine and cocktail selection too. Love this place - go often.

I read somewhere that this place boasts the best Roast in the county, and they're not wrong. Big, hearty portions with a great range of offerings in additions to the classics. Desserts were the surprise package, get the Yorkie & Butter pudding, unbelievable Jeff. Staff looked after us really well and the setting is delightful. Top marks all round!

What a find, wonderful service, grateful food, and warm cosy atmosphere. A Soth African chef who understands how to grill meat!! Highly recommended! We will be back!!

Been here twice now and will definitely return. Food is a little pricey but it is worth it. Great menu with lots of tasty vegan options for starters, mains and dessert. Had the garlic flatbread with black olive tepenade, banana blossom "fish" and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce and to finish, sticky toffee pudding with oat flat white. All really lovely and service was brilliant. Look forward to returning.

Great, middle of nowhere country pub. We visited today after our 6 mile hike. The pub is dog friendly, which was great for us as we had borrowed our friends dog for the day. Dog bowls located inside French doors in patio garden area, with a huge keg outside to fill them. Car park is spacious. Play area. Nice, clean restaurant and toilets. Food was served quickly and was presented beautifully, hot and with a friendly smile. Not overly priced, a lovely atmosphere and made to feel very welcome. We will return.

First time at Acorn Restaurant, and I wish we could have attend it much sooner! Exceptional food and service. Instead of having a regular practice of starting off the dinner with the starters and the main, we were advised to have a âflightâ with the selections of starters. Indeed a valuable advise, and our experience was more than delightful. High quality food, and very reasonably priced for the quality of food that exceeds many respectable businesses in London. We will be coming back to explore the rest of the menu, and will be excited for every upcoming specials. Thank you!

An absolute gem of a restaurant, the food was top notch, super fresh and really varied but with a lovely Spanish flavour running throughout. The seafood options were excellent and Iâd highly recommend it for that alone. Not cheap but fairly priced in my opinion for the quality you get. Service was relaxed but attentive and recommendations were readily given, clearly there are a lot of regulars too which is no surprise!

My personal experience of Acorn was fantastic. Went for the catalan bread to start/share which was unusual and interesting... Best described as a cross between a foccacia and a pizza. Main was the sharing hot seafood platter. This wasn't what I had in mind when I think platter. It's more a collection of seafood within a seafood bisque. Naming preconceptions aside it was DELICIOUS. perfectly cooked lobster scallops, monkfish and prawns in a rich seafood bisque bursting with flavour and rich intensity. It was outstanding. Desserts were a catalan version of pain perdu which was very pleasant. The tarte tatin was the better dessert for us though.. Bitter, sticky caramel balanced by the sweet apple heavy top. Served with a tangy and sweet whipped yoghurt. Service was very friendly and efficient. Chef likes talking to the customers which adds a very personal touch. Ambience slightly lacking but less to do with gwthw overall decor and lighting which was nice enough.. But more to do with the fact it was a midweek dinner and the restaurant was relatively empty. Although in my opinion it shouldn't be.. We had a terrific experience and will definitely come back again to try other dishes.

Coming to this restaurant was a brilliant experience and now this place is our favourite place to go to for a steak in the area. All the food that we ordered was brilliant, but the highlight of our meal was a tomahawk - perfect cut of meat cooked exactly as we liked it. The staff was very friendly and nice and had great recommendations for the wine, and the chef came out to greet us and chat to us throughout the meal which was an extra bonus The place itself is very cozy and cute and itâs easy to find parking

Always a nice welcome and friendly staff and this lovely community-run local pub. In the summer we have enjoyed eating in the garden with its far reaching views. We have eaten here a few times and until now always had good food. But on this occasion the food was poor. The pie was swimming in gravy that lacked any flavour, it would also have been nicer to serve the gravy separately. Sadly the food was cold and had to be returned to the kitchen, the pub was not busy and it really seemed a shame that they missed the mark on this occassion. We also noted that the menu was not as interesting as it had been earlier in the year. I am hoping this was a 'blip' and that normal service will resume. We will give it another go sometime soon.

Really glad we made our walkers lunch stop at this traditional pub in the pretty village of Thursley. Friendly, professional & welcoming staff. Real ale was well kept. Homemade sandwiches were tasty. Competitive prices. Live music on a Saturday afternoon was a real bonus! Would definitely visit here again.

I was part of a group of 19 that dinned here the evening before my sisters wedding. The staff were lovely and professional. The service was good and the food arrived quickly, despite the amount of people. Everyone enjoyed their food! Great vegetarian and vegan options.

Building is lovely and felt warm, inviting. The service was a bit on the slow side but they were pleasant enough. The food was nice but I wouldn't say it's particularly special. If you are looking for a lunch time treat then go for it.

The atmosphere inside was very nice and the food and drinks were tasty. We ordered the Sunday roast chicken which was good but seemed a bit small for a roast. Overall a good experience. Not many gluten free options.

Fox & Finch is the ultimate spot for a cheeky mid-week pub visit! Whether youâre popping in for a casual dinner or just looking to unwind, this place never disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious, with a menu that offers something for everyone, making it perfect for a relaxed yet satisfying meal. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, adding a warm and personal touch to the experience. Itâs the kind of place where you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If youâre ever in doubt about where to go, Fox & Finch is the answer. Itâs a guaranteed great time, and I highly recommend checking it out. Couldn't fault this venue for quality, service or atmosphere. An absolutely fantastic meal, with high quality friendly service. Dog friendly too. The landlord was warm friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced too. What a shame we are only in the area for a few hours or we would certainly return. Thank you.

New year's dinner for 24? No problem. Good food (hot and all served more or less at the same time without error). Pleasant service at the bar and table service (Tony?). Nice selection of drinks. Dog friendly. One more potato next time please.

Stopped en route to London for a quick meal and had the most fantastic experience at this pub. We were greeted by Dave who couldn't have done more to make our two children feel more welcome. The children's menu was the best they have ever seen, and high praise from our youngest who said it was the best beef burger she has ever had. As well as the usual kids meals they offer much more variety like ribs or steak, all for ÂŁ10 inc dessert. Outside is a huge play park. Location is perfect if your passing, less than a minute detour from the A3. Highly recommend this pub, and I would suggest to the management that Dave should have a pay rise!

Driven past loads of times but never been in before. Pleasantly surprised. It is deceiving big inside with a separate restaurant and bar area. A beautiful garden with pod like structures which must be lovely to use in the summer. It a cold February day so we cozy up in the bar area. Lots of little areas with comfy chairs for just drinks or tables and chairs carefully placed in windows and not too close to other tables. We chose to eat in the bar, the only downside was you had to order yourself at the bar. The bar area was lovely and quiet with a fire roaring in the hearth. A lovely bubbly older lady saw to us and settled us at a window table. She really did add to the ambiance of the place. The service, price and food was really good. We opted for the two course lunch menu and it was really tasty, hot and well presented. In hindsight we chose the bar area to dine and we were pleased with our choice. When we left the restaurant was incredibly busy and the noise levels were certainly higher than the tranquility of our table in the bar. Would we come again? Most definitely.

Lovely pub-restaurant for meeting up with friends and family. Appealing menu. Great atmosphere and although the place was completely full with big parties, food and drinks were served promptly. We had an issue with one of the dishes which was resolved well. Cosy in winter and outside space for summer days. Some areas could do with a lick of paint (doors to loos)

A lovely place to be, with amazing gardens and lots of room. Service needs a bit of work. We were a party of 7, and they left it 2 of us when taking our drinks order. They left cracking out of a pork roast. They left the coleslaw off a veggie burger dish. And they served 6 water glasses for 7 people. But I have to say they corrected all these things with good grace when they were pointed out. The food was definitely good. Just a little more attention to detail needed maybe. But thank you for a good meal.

Booked table for 2 and we were put in a room with no other people in it throughout our time there. First drink order was wrong when brought to table and after ordering our meals, we had a long wait for the food to arrive and then they were brought out one at a time! Food itself was not too bad but the portion size for the prices charged were a little off we thought and mentioned this to the server, even with this said, we tried the desserts to see how they shaped up too but still thought price was a little high compared to other places who served same things ( and presented better too) All in all we enjoyed our time here and the management waived cost of our hot beverages and my wrongly served first drink as a way of apology which I thought was a very nice gesture and received with thanks. We will return at another time and hope others will book as the venue itself is really nice.

Little scenic spots on the riverside over this old mill. Warm hut with cover seating available, with complimentary blankets and above heaters for chilly nights, small bar inside with all the favourite and popular spirits and some exclusive brands unseen anywhere else. The stag, always features a top notch menu , when passing through the south east we always pop by as we love and enjoy everything the stag offer and the staff are always so kind and welcoming. They also have limited luxury rooms however we have never stayed.

Me and my partner went for winter wonderland dinner last night to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time. The food was scrumptious and the staff were super friendly and attentive. We loved the restaurant, warm evening with roaring fire on.

I stopped here for a romantic meal with my partner. The atmosphere was fantastic - Traditional pub meets unpretentious luxury. The location was stunning, we ate on the bank of the river with the gentle sound of flowing water in the background. The service was prompt, friendly and competent. BUT THE FOOD!.. was truly excellent! We shared the 22oz steak and I can honestly say it was one of the best steaks either of us had ever had. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a special night out or just a relaxing Saturday afternoon with friends. Maximum stars from me đ
