“I’ve been going to The Chapel for many years now and i can safely say it is the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to! 😁Roberto, the owner, is so friendly and always remembers you and your order. The service from other staff have always been wonderful as well. I am yet to try an iced latte that is as amazing as a Chapel iced latte! Having slowly converted all my family to becoming regulars, I couldn’t recommend it enough 🥰”

“Not being from the area, I asked a local where is best to go as I had a few hours to kill. They pointed me in the direction of Mullins. I was greeting by great customer service and even better food, iced coffee which was perfect and you can tell they do put a lot of care into their food and their relationships with customers. Whilst sitting here there were people coming in just to say hi to the staff! Great atmosphere and if you are travelling through Dorking, it’s definitely worth to stop.”

Tanhouse Farm Shop
Tanhouse Farm, Newdigate, Dorking RH5 5BX, UK
Phone: 01306 631891
“I have driven past this place many times and had always promised myself one of their full English breakfasts. It was around 930am on a Wednesday morning on a glorious sunny day when I went past the entrance and decided that today was the day I'd fulfil my self promise. Drove up the drive and turned into a reasonably sized grass covered car park. Parked up and made my way into the Farm shop and ordered a full English and a cuppa. Came to £10.90. Went outside as it was such a nice day and found an empty wooden table with bench seats available, sat down and enjoyed the sunshine and watched children playing on the fort and rocking platform whilst waiting for my breakfast. It wasn't long in coming. A nice full English two eggs, two rashes of bacon, a couple of hash browns, a couple of sausage patties, half a tomato, mushrooms and a couple of slices of toast and butter plus a cup of breakfast tea - should have taken a photo of it but was more focused on eating. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. As I ate a succession of cars appeared and the car park and tables filled with families, Many with young children. Seems I had timed my visit to perfection. I shall certainly be returning.”

Junction 8 Cafe
59 Wray Ln, Reigate RH2 0HX, UK

“Far above average café, with an incredible view and surrounding area. Access on foot requires a bit of hiking, but it’s well worth the view, being right next to Reigate Fort, the B-17G crash memorial, the sun dial, and the Royal Alexandra Albert school ponds. The selection of food is wide, though the same cannot be said for the vegan options, the selection remains sufficient. It is great to remember that not all vegan options are shown on the menu, such as the vegan sausage roll, which I recommend after the inevitable hike!”

The Dabbling Duck
Middle St, Shere, Guildford GU5 9HF, UK
Phone: 01483 205791
“Had a lovely breakfast at the dabbling duck. The staff were all very friendly and service and food could not be faulted. There was only one fly in the ointment. We sat inside the cafe as did a lot of dog owners. My friend has allergies and is a bit wary of dogs so it was a bit off putting to her. They were also all a bit over excited and ‘talking’ to each other which made it hard for us to converse. I’ve no objection to well behaved dogs but not everyone feels the same for various reasons and they are not necessarily just being intolerant. The Dabbling Duck has a large heated marquee outside as well as covered heated outdoor seating. Would it not be a good compromise to welcome dogs only to these areas and keep the small inside seating area pet free. Other than that small niggle it was a lovely brunch before a bracing walk in beautiful countryside surrounding Shere.”

“I go to Natters for a filter coffee and a cake every day and have done so for many years. The best ''Guest' filter coffee is precision made at the table, the cakes (my favourite are Tiffins) are Vegan. The coffee and all their cakes are excellent. The young staff are friendly, kind and hard working. When it's very busy there can be a delay but it's worth the wait. The best place for coffee in the area.”
