“I’ve been using this cafe now for over a year and thought it’s about time to do a review! Purely because they’re fantastic. Lovely staff, the tea is amazing. I’m a massive tea drinker and they’re always perfect and reasonably priced compare to other places. Lovely atmosphere where you can sit in and relax, very welcoming and tidy always. I also occasionally buy a heated panini for lunch when I’m in the area. They’ve got a great choice of flavours and also a lot of fancy cakes and deserts that go down well too!”

“Really great bagel sandwiches (the pulled pork was amazing!) and coffees, and there’s plenty of space to sit. If you want a sandwich, and you’re in the neighbourhood, this is my recommendation. As a former New Yorker, I can vouch for the authenticity of the bagels 😉.”

Pinnock's
Pinnocks, High St, Ripley, Woking GU23 6AF, UK
Phone: 01483 222419
“What an incredible, yet somewhat accidental find! Pinnocks is the most wonderful little cafe in the heart of Ripley. I wanted only to find a quick cup of coffee but what I found was an exquisite beamed ceiling and slate tiled floor, lovely farmhouse tables, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful foods, perfect for a light lunch. There’s the gentle hum of conversation, a fresh produce delivery brought through… and what I was offered was not just a cup of coffee…At risk of sounding like a line from Rowan Atkinson in Love Actually…. This is SO much more than a cup of coffee! There are 7 different beans to choose from depending on your ‘roast’ preference. I chose Ethiopian and received a mug… Normally I prefer a cup, (because I’m a fan of delicate drinking!) but this wasn’t a chunky hunk of china. It was plastic and yet it didn’t detract from the coffee taste at all. Absolutely delicious! I cannot think of a better place to escape from the rain and enjoy an hour or so…I might be coming back for tea…”

“Went to this place today, was suggested by an Instagram reel. Wow I'm so glad I went, fantastic day out, so clean and peaceful. Really nice and well kept grounds. Best park I have ever been to. The weather was fantastic which made it even better. A great way to escape the city life for a day. The entry fee was worth it in my opinion.”

The Dabbling Duck
Middle St, Shere, Guildford GU5 9HF, UK
Phone: 01483 205791
“Had a lovely breakfast at the dabbling duck. The staff were all very friendly and service and food could not be faulted. There was only one fly in the ointment. We sat inside the cafe as did a lot of dog owners. My friend has allergies and is a bit wary of dogs so it was a bit off putting to her. They were also all a bit over excited and ‘talking’ to each other which made it hard for us to converse. I’ve no objection to well behaved dogs but not everyone feels the same for various reasons and they are not necessarily just being intolerant. The Dabbling Duck has a large heated marquee outside as well as covered heated outdoor seating. Would it not be a good compromise to welcome dogs only to these areas and keep the small inside seating area pet free. Other than that small niggle it was a lovely brunch before a bracing walk in beautiful countryside surrounding Shere.”
