Hooky Street Coffee

Manor Drive North Malden, Manor Train Station, Manor Dr N, New Malden KT3 5PN, UK | Coffee Shop
P: 07468 691220

Rating: 4.9 (123) Price Level:

Lovely coffee shop, right next to the station! The staff member was warm and helpful. The coffee was brilliant - definitely some love, skill and care in the cup. I also got a sandwich which felt fresh and homemade. If I was being really nit picky, I think the space needs a little tlc - everything seems a little outdated yet definitely a gem for the area.

The perfect place to find a coffee shop, right by the Malden Manor train station. Brilliant!! Can't wait for summer to try out their delicious ice-cream (it's too cold for me now). They have patio where you can sit outside and enjoy a cocktail or an iced tea.

Fancied a hot drink on my way home, so thought I’d give it a try. Ended up having hot chocolate, chicken and pesto baguette. Lovely place using high quality ingredients. Staff are amazing and friendly. Took time to serve our autistic daughter and her boyfriend. Nothing is too much trouble. A great addition to the community. 10 out of 10 Many Thanks👍

Plough Bakery

374 Malden Rd, Worcester Park KT4 7NL, UK | Bakery
P: 07516 243366

Rating: 4.8 (180) Price Level:

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Plough Bakery, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional, making me feel welcomed and valued from the moment I walked in. The staff was not only friendly and attentive but also highly knowledgeable about their offerings, providing excellent recommendations that catered to my taste. As for the food, it was simply divine. The pastries were fresh, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The selection was impressive, ranging from classic croissants and muffins to unique, artisan creations that showcased the bakers' creativity and skill. I particularly enjoyed the Carrot cake, which was a perfect blend of textures and tastes. Overall, the plough exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of top-notch service and delectable food makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. I highly recommend stopping by for a delightful treat and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Lewis is a top lad from Plough Bakery. It's got a great variety of both sweet and savoury baked goods and they're definitely better than Greggs. It opens at midnight on most days and closes in the early afternoon which is unusual but makes for a great midnight snack spot. They mentioned that some of the meat can be Halal (but depends on their supplier) which is just another reason to definitely stop by!

This is the kind of local cafe you dream of - whilst the food is good (paninis, baked potatoes, omelettes, etc) and there's a wide variety of choices, it's the lovely owner that really makes this a firm favourite with the local community. Whatever you order, you're guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face and a great reminder of why it's so important not to let the personality-free chains take over the high street.

SUNSHINE CAFE (WORCESTER PARK)

109 Central Rd, Worcester Park KT4 8DY, UK | Cafe
P: 020 8337 1608

Rating: 4.6 (364) Price Level:

Hiya, community however. The first time, we visited the mini restaurant with our friends. I don't like to eat in special mode at the restaurant, but they insisted then to go together there. Each other made an order with bigger or less calories. Indeed you can receive a big portion it doesn't matter what you order. Enough for a man, doesn't have the importance of what they eat. I also liked the shop's clean permanently not only one. Every time is the same , the personal care is well for each customer. The workers ✅ checking and cleaning the tables. We have been the only one, even the shop finds the opposite street. I just said ,it's good if the people know , I don't miss to eat there.

We moved recently in New Malden area. We tried to find good breakfast cafe. I think I found already 🥹😬 the staff was very friendly and clean space. I tried avocado heaven. Fresh and tasty 😋 we will come back again. Also, the latter was great too! Personally I like they are interior too. Feels like I am on holiday. Good time!

This is a local restaurant I love it too much, there are many varieties of food you can select with reasonable price! I usually order burger and crisps, they are the best comfort food. Just one thing to remind, hot water costs £1, better order a cup of tea instead.

To call this place a greasy spoon (much as I love them) is a bit inaccurate because truth be told, this place is simply a really nice little cafe. With a broad, fairly priced menu, friendly and welcoming service and food that turns up without too much delay it ticks lotsa boxes. Add to that clean tables, a decent napkin that doesn’t dissolve on the first wipe, plus a good atmosphere (Smooth playing in the background) and decent opening hours - it’s a winner. For breakfast I had the eggs Benedict with bacon and an English muffin. The accompanying hollandaise sauce and salad greenery on the plate were very welcome. The eggs were cooked perfectly. And it was the day after Halloween and my coffee even had a little ghost on it 😁 My only tiny suggestion, the knife that I had could really have done with being sharper. As the bacon was nice and thick, combined with a substantial English muffin, it did make for a bit of hand numbing sawing owing to my blunt knife.

Cosy little cafe, we have been going to this place few times now. And I think their brownies are the best (I wish I could keep it a secret so that it wouldn’t get sold out so soon 😉) We have enjoyed the brownie, carrot cake and the giant cookie 🍪 when I say giant it’s an understatement, it’s actually as big as my 5yr olds face 😳 and bonus I can always pick up the free fresh apple to snack on while walking back.

Love this cafe. They have a large menu you can order from all day. The family who run it are friendly and the service is always excellent. The breakfasts are tasty and so many variations to choose from. They use an air purifier in the colder months so you never come out smelling like fried food which is nice.

We had our brunch there on the weekend. The food was very good, they have lots of variety on their menu and have some vegetarian options as well. Food quality and quantity both are good and the price is reasonable too. The staff was good, friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Would love to give 4.5* but can't do as it gives the options 4/5* not 4.5*. Ps: they have a lovely back garden sitting area too, which we got to know when we were leaving the cafe after had our brunch.

A very excellent breakfast is served here, I was impressed. For too long there wouldn’t be a great place in Cheam to have breakfast, and Cheam Cafe was there all along. You can judge a breakfast by the quality of the sausages and bread, and Cheam Cafe scores highly on both… I will definitely visit again and expect to have many more future breakfasts for sure - looking forward to working my way through the menu. Judging by other reviews, the brunch/lunch options are highly regarded also!
