Went to come biking at Surry Hills with a friend and got recommended this place by someone else we spoke to. OH WOW! My friend had the Pork and Leak strip thing and he said it was amazing and I had the Cheese and Tomato pastie which I would definitely be having again. Over all this place is amazing! Would highly recommend!

I was lucky to spend nine days in Peaslake Village and loved the pies and the friendly atmosphere in this store. It was my favorite routine to ride the Surrey Hills, have coffee and cake at the bus stop, buy wine and pies for dinner. They made us felt like locals. Wonderful time. Thank you😊

A great place to have a treat breakfast on a Sunday morning! We had a veggie breakfast and a mini breakfast. The 'mini' is pretty substantial. Good table service, and a nice busy atmosphere. A repeat visit was even better! Really consistent good service.

So staying in Guildford for a few days. I wanted to try something different other than McDonald's or your standard chain. I found this after searching Google with great reviews, I knew I was expecting high things. Walking in it's a great atmosphere. I order the breakfast baguette with chips. I didn't have to wait too long and the portion size was great and not to much and not too little. There is an outside area with a roof to cover from rain etc. Also, the inside is nice and very well decorated. There is one toilet and it also has baby changing facilities. Overall, I really recommend and worth having a trip too, maybe a short walk from town but well worth it. If I'm back in Guildford, I'll be back.

We love this place. A hybrid of service (counter, table &/or both) which never disappoints; they’re quietly attentive. The ingredients are expensive, the portions are generous & the prices are very reasonable. Coffee is exceptional. We just love it all.

This is the only cafe I go to during the week. It’s not too far from my office but if it was closer, I would be getting coffee in the afternoon too. Staff work so hard here and I really love the food. Traditional pastries, savoury and sweet but also fresh paninis if I don’t fancy a pastry. I put a 4 star for food, not because of quality, but because I think salads would be a nice addition to the menu. No where in Guildford does it so it could be a big win! Wouldn’t even have to be hugely gourmet ones. And maybe smaller pieces of bougatsa as an option too next to large portions like the kataifi but that’s a minor thing. Thank you for all the nice convos while waiting for food and making everyone feel so welcome. If the food wasn’t so good I might’ve had time to take more photos. Also let me use my travel mugs :) Efcharisto!

A delightful independent coffee shop with charm. As well as serving up great coffees, this place had a fantastic selection of Greek sweet and savoury foods, all locally produced and super tasty. The guys behind the counter were welcoming and took the time to explain the different food available. An authentic coffee shop with bags of character. Well worth a visit if you are wondering through Guildford

One of the best cafe. Such a great service. I been given full info about what sort of cold cafe they do, how they do etc. On the top I have tasted some traditional Greek pastries. Yummy. A lovely, hellenic (Greek) café in the heart of Guildford! Dimitris and Nikos are so friendly, kind and treat you like their friend! I ordered a fresco espresso, which is actually what is called FREDDO ESPRESSO, in Hellas (Greece). Tasteful! They also offered me two pieces of greek bougatsa🇬🇷❤️ In store, you can find many traditional products like "petit four", "bougatsa", cakes, etc, but also ice cream for dogs! 🐕 Totally recommend it! Have fun x

My partner and I had a great experience renting bikes from this shop! All staff were happy to help & quick to respond via email and phone. When we arrived at the shop, staff were super friendly & chatty whilst setting up our bikes, also chance to make sure you are happy with your bike & ask any more questions. We hired the bikes for the full day & cycled to Leith Hill, which was beautiful & has stunning views! Highly recommend hiring bikes from this shop & exploring the area - all in all was a fantastic day out!

Hired an e-bike for my daughter to spend the day out with me. Bike was great, good bike to start with, well maintained and ready in no time considering we only booked it the night before! Guys were super helpful, got the seat adjusted right and made sure we were good with the way the bike worked. Would hire from here again for sure.

Such a great coffee shop. My husband is a coffee snob and highly recommends the authentic and variety of coffee here. The people were very friendly as well. Only lost a star because there really isn't any seating (I understand it is limited to their space) but great idea to have two ordering stations to keep the shop from overcrowding. Wish there was one closer to us!

Lovely dog friendly cafe in a beautiful village with lots of outdoor seating. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a good selection of lunch options. The only critique we would make is that the coffee and walnut cake had little to no coffee in it. But lunch was delicious.

Cafe with quite a large garden area (partially covered - they have a heated yurt!) which is well done up and nice to sit in. Good selection of cakes and drinks with table service. A bit pricey though!

Had a lovely breakfast at the dabbling duck. The staff were all very friendly and service and food could not be faulted. There was only one fly in the ointment. We sat inside the cafe as did a lot of dog owners. My friend has allergies and is a bit wary of dogs so it was a bit off putting to her. They were also all a bit over excited and ‘talking’ to each other which made it hard for us to converse. I’ve no objection to well behaved dogs but not everyone feels the same for various reasons and they are not necessarily just being intolerant. The Dabbling Duck has a large heated marquee outside as well as covered heated outdoor seating. Would it not be a good compromise to welcome dogs only to these areas and keep the small inside seating area pet free. Other than that small niggle it was a lovely brunch before a bracing walk in beautiful countryside surrounding Shere.

First time came and amazing village… we had latte and duck (which is full)breakfast which was very delicious. What amazed me was the breakfast was hot till half way through as I ate slowly… lol. Anyw, that was super tasty for me. The whole experience was lovely and we planned to come back again some time in the near future.

We had a great experience here the other day. This cafe restaurant was busy so we had to park a newlands corner across the road. The staff were friendly and even though it was busy the service was quick. We both ordered burgers for lunch, which cost £16 each. My own burger was the plucky pheasant beef burger, with cheddar and chilli jam. This was a mighty burger, that had a great taste, texture and was filled with toppings. It came with crispy french fries and a salad. Loved this burger! My other half ordered the Southern fried chicken burger which was also good, though not as epic as the beef burger. Worth knowing this is a dog friendly cafe, and at busy times like this there were about 10 dogs in the tented area where we were seated. All well behaved and a joy to see 😀 Updating based on our second trip here, as ever great atmosphere and place to get some excellent food. This time around I had a Moroccan lamb sandwich which was superbly tasty, my other half had the chicken panini which she wasn't too impressed by. The salad dressing looked a bit strange but worked well flavour wise . We sat indoors to order lunch, it was cosy, the staff were friendly as usual and food arrived promptly.

We stopped by for breakfast and I tried the Plucky Breakfast. It was delicious, and the bacon was definitely the highlight, it was perfectly cooked, which is rare to find these days. The staff were warm and attentive and the cozy atmosphere was just the cherry on top!

Outstanding! Fabulous food, great range, good value, beautifully presented and freshly prepared. Highly recommend the full English (not greasy, just tasty). Always lovely specials on offer and the service is exceptional, super friendly with our (noisy and messy) babies with lots of seating including a sofa corner and lots of covered outside space. This is such a beautiful place to have breakfast. The quality of the food is excellent, freshly prepared, beautifully presented and very tasty! The range of delicious cakes means you will have a hard time choosing just one!:-). Great for a cosy coffee for two or a family brunch on a Sunday. Visited this cute cafe 3 days ago, drove from Portsmouth to Ramster garden and then drove to this lovely cafe. Loved the ambience, the service was so warm, welcoming and friendly. Absolutely loved the peanut butter banana cake. Waiting to visit/drive to this place again.

Great coffee shop hidden in one of the tranquil narrow path ways of Guildford high Street. Great food served in a very tiny setting which gave us a little bit of a squashed feeling. But in general it was a fantastic experience, gorgeous coffee and a lovely Mother's day treat.

The Hurtwood Hotel B&B hosted a brilliant midweek trip for us. Very friendly welcome, lovely cosy room and a-joined to an excellent watering hole where we had a delicious meal and several local pints. The breakfast was superb too. Stayed one night whilst catching up with friends. Room 2 designed as mini suite with sitting area as well as bedroom. Very comfortable large bed and pillows. Only niggle was noisy extractor fan in bathroom. Food quality and preparation was excellent and my special thanks to Sophie and Joe for looking after us. Reasonable prices. Would stay again without hesitation 9/10.

We had a lovely time staying here. Felt genuinely welcome unlike the transactional nature of larger hotels. Room was spacious, large TV, window that opened and strong WiFi. Bed was slightly softer than I like, but that's a personal preference. Breakfast great, cooked options and cereals etc.
