I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this restaurant before its official opening and had the pleasure of sampling their exquisite menu. The dishes were subtle yet deeply satisfying, with spices that brought out an aromatic richness, perfectly capturing the essence of authentic delicacies in India I started with the samosa chaat, chicken malai, and tikka – all of which were appetizing and delectable. For the main course, I indulged in the butter chicken, though I was too busy enjoying the meal to remember to snap a photo! The owner’s passion for the food was evident, especially in the way he emphasized both quality and affordability. A special mention goes to the sesame oil garlic chili sauce he serves, a staple from the state of Gujarat, India, that added a delightful kick to the meal.

Interesting new Indian dining experience in Walkden, amazing food and genuinely intimate atmosphere, the owners are happy to talk through their menu and also their visions for the restaurant. Looking forward to seeing how everything develops. Second visit - menu improving, presentation better and Indian dessert, keep up the good work guys, I remembered to take photos this time ☺️ Third visit: Decor totally revamped and a whole new menu, this place just keeps getting better - the new massala popudoms are great to start, and the Goan vindaloo, whilst hot as you’d expect, has an amazing depth of flavour.

Absolutely delicious food. The best curry we have had for a long time. Perfect portion sizes too. Three of us had main meals, sides and drinks and it only came to £42. The service great, friendly but not overly attentive. The only negative was that as we were the first people in (we ate early) there wasn’t any background music so it felt a little empty. We did mention this to them on the way out and they had simply forgotten to put it on. We’d definitely go back as the food was really, really tasty. Would recommend!

Brilliant indian food showcasing the real taste of India! Four of us (two couples) visited this new restaurant last night & were served by Dee... he was very welcoming, polite, & informative - giving recommendations when asked for starters (some not on the menu as menu in process of being updated) & gave information about each dish we were served... We started with small pops & different dips to the norm (all amazingly good!), followed by four starters (a couple served on skewers from golden pots, then we shared 3 curries, two different rices, & a bowl of chips, & accompanied with a garlic, coriander, & chilli naan... Our three curries were lamb madras, chicken rogan josh, & chicken dopyaza... you could choose your 'hotness' strength for each! The two ladies shared a bottle of wine & us two blokes had pints of cobra... All the above came to under £100 for four people at a sit in new restaurant, which we thought was excellent value for money! This food, taste, & serving style is different to the standard indian restaurants, but in a very good way... This place offers traditional indian cuisine, that is wonderfully tasty, & at a reasonable price - we will definitely be back soon... We highly recommended this new indian restaurant - amazing!

The pub is situated in a lovely area, the golf and the gardens around are amazing. The building is gorgeous and well preserved, wonderful!! The environment is quiet, pleasant music, polite and friendly staff. Kids and dogs friendly. The food has an outstanding presentation, tasty and well confectioned. Desserts are 'a piece of heaven '😉. The portions are good value for money. Staff is very professional, friendly and always making sure you have everything and that you are enjoying. Well done, working an extra mile to serve you well. It was a gratifying experience, very pleased.

Today marked our first visit to the establishment, which was notably busy upon our arrival. We did not pre-book a table, as we were unfamiliar with the reservation procedure. However, the barman, who appeared to be the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us and engaged us in lighthearted banter. This was a refreshing contrast to some nearby locations where staff seemed overwhelmed during busy times. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the operation of this venue was impressively smooth and efficient. We were able to enjoy drinks at the bar while awaiting a table. Almost immediately, a table became available, and we were seated without delay. The food and drink offerings were excellent, with a quick turnaround for our orders and a vast selection that included both standard and real ales. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this experience was enjoyable and seems to cater well to patrons seeking a relaxed yet lively dining environment. I would highly recommend this establishment to others; it is unlikely to disappoint.

Exotica is a gem in Worsley. The atmosphere is lavish, with elegant decor and a warm, welcoming vibe, making it ideal for any occasion. I tried the lamb doner and a couple of their curries, and the food was so good we couldn’t even stop to take a picture before diving in 😂😂. The lamb doner was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the curries were rich, aromatic, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us fully satisfied. The service was just as impressive. The staff are friendly and attentive but never overbearing, striking the perfect balance to make the experience enjoyable and relaxed. If you’re looking for amazing food, excellent service, and a luxurious setting, Exotica is the place to be. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

I visited this place last night, and I can’t recommend it enough! The food was absolutely delicious – everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. Traveled over 2 hours. Had two kebabs, nann and onion bhajis. The bad boy kebabs I saw on a reel and they said they are the best in the UK. They didn't lie. And was worthwhile the trip. Service was very warm and welcoming. All the waiters was lovely. Fast service. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely make a special trip again. Thank you very much. Highly recommended. Our all times favourite Italian restaurant. Our local refuge in happiness and sadness. And I tell you what, no matter what mood you go in, you'd come out Happy! Great dishes from a fantastic chef, lovely service and lots of happy, smiley faces around every time. Definitely book to get a table. My favourite is Straccetti which comes with spaghetti and strips of beef steak, bit of chilli and garlic. Mouth watering really I tell you what though, they make a lovely bone in steak to share which really tempted me to have a second dinner! I think I'll order that big steak for myself only next time!

A truly authentic Italian/Neapolitan restaurant and lucky for us, so close to where we live! Our usual family hangout, this place is amazing, and not surprisingly packed almost every day of the week with local families (except Mondays, they’re closed then), so I suggest booking a table in advance, especially for weekends. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful, unlike many Italian restaurants in town. They know their wine pairings well too, which is a huge bonus in my book. Talking of the food, the menu is absolutely amazing, lovingly prepared classic Italian pasta dishes and pizza plus the well known Secondi dishes of meat, fish or poultry; our all time favourite is the T-bone veal steak. Everything is very fresh and incredibly tasty, even the simplest of things. Some of the dishes are exceptional and hard to find in restaurants outside Italy, like Paccheri alla Genovese, huge pasta tubes with a beef and onion sauce slow cooked for 6 hours, sweet tasting and not a tomato in sight! The deserts here are superb too. All at very reasonable prices. A must visit if you’re in Manchester area, and well worth it.

I have been coming to this restaurant since its opening, and introduced my wife and inlaws to it a few years later. We have spent every special occasion and celebration here, from Birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries and many others. Feel welcomed every time and well looked after by Ali and the team. Attended the 10 year party there which was a great night for a great cause. I really cant fault the place. We love it, from the decor, the atmosphere, the knowledge the waiters have of the menu, how special they make you feel on special days, and of course the food. Its our favourite restaurant on earth and i suppose with all the memories made there, more than just a restraunt to us.

My family, and I dined at Amans last Saturday. The food was amazing, and delicious. The service was beyond excellent. Very nice, and friendly waiters. Who went above, and beyond for us. They make sure that you have a great time. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Visited C&C with my parents who were visiting after been given two separate recommendations - it did not disappoint! Beautifully presented pub/bar area where we had a drink before heading through to the dining area for a meal. Fantastic atmosphere, one of the best I’ve experienced in some time in fact (Saturday night). Shared some small plates, the special of lobster ravioli was a real pick. Fillet steak (rare) cooked to perfection with an excellent pepper sauce. Smoked salmon and whipped feta - absolutely delicious. Scampi not bad, a little overdone and a touch dry. Steak sandwich was very well presented but the meat was of poor quality and very tough. Real shame on that one. I can’t imagine it usually is like this. Truffle mac and cheese wonderful. Truffle and Parmesan fries equally delicious. Wine list excellent - the Cairanne I fully recommend, good value at c. £36. Overall the food would have been a 4/5 given two slip ups but overall the experience would come to a 4.5/5 however as you can’t give half scores with google defo more to a 5 than a 4. Highly recommend. Will be back, and often!

I've only been there twice for breakfast and I'll definitely be back for dinner someday. I ordered bacon butty and it was perfectly made with crispy bacon from the grill. But there is also one minus that I found. You can't hold a flat white coffee cup. It is too heavy and uncomfortable. A tiny cup and you have to hold it with your both hands. The coffee itself is delicious without complaints. I recommend the Coal & Cotton and like to say thank you.

We typically turn up on a Sunday and the place is always busy! It's nice to see that with a local business. I'd recommend booking a few days in advance. The food is always wonderfully prepared, between the sharing roast option, the luxury steak sandwich, the lamb dishes - everything is always delicious. The drinks are also great! My partner and I tend not to drink and the non-alcoholic options are tasty and quite inventive. The strawberry lemonade and Vimto drink are extremely moreish.

I would highly recommend this pub restaurant. The food was excellent. I like cooking and am almost always disappointed when I eat out, not here though. I’d say this was the best pub food I’ve ever had. The service was lovely, not intrusive but ensured the customer is happy. Definitely up there with the best. My compliments to the chef.

Had great service from the staff here. We had to wait a little to be seated but staff were very pleasant and informative. It was quite busy when we arrived. We got standard vegetarian carveries and there was plenty of food we couldn’t finish it and the cheese and onion pie was delicious. The coffee were a little burnt but you get refills and the second coffee was much better. Parsnips were also amazing and would highly recommend for a decent feed at a reasonable price. It is very family friendly which meant it was a bit noisy but good to bring the family if you have one. Restaurant was pretty clean however one of the tea spoon holders could have done with a deep clean. Overall 5 star experience for a good hearty meal, friendly and great staff and a decent price.

So we returned to the farmhouse kitchen (formley Applewood) what a huge difference and transformation. The service was impeccable so much that we return a couple of days later with our son. The food was perfectly cooked both the set meals and the carvery. On the second visit the place was really busy but we only had to wait 15 minutes. Again excellent food and brilliant service.. Well worth the visit

No doubt on the food, it’s exceptionally good. Much better than those in China Town. And you can forget most of the restaurants in China Town after trying this. However, this restaurant also charges pricy, you should budget about £40 per head excluding drinks.
