I’ve been to the Asylum a number of times and always great food, beer and atmosphere. Today I went with my wife and kids and we enjoyed the gyoza, beef brisket and the delicious curry hot dog. Staff are always friendly and the owners Martin and Paul are wonderful people. Highly recommended.

Been wanting to eat here for some time . So brought up my mate from Liverpool who is an eating machine and also a top chef as I am a chef aswell. And my god did it deliver absolutely outstanding best street food we have ever had even as good as Michelin restaurant. Staff we great very knowledgeable we did try and eat the whole menu 😋 but we failed after 10 courses we nearly exploded, was great to see the chefs on display. Absolutely love this place, the atmosphere is fantastic!! The food is wonderful, lots of variety from around the world and the best Sushi I've had in a long time. The Prawnstar is scrumptious!!! The chicken fried rice is stunning and the cocktails are strong 😊

We visited Asylum on the 30 December, and really glad we did. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. There was a warm welcome from the staff, who found us a nice table, and gave fantastic table service. The food was amazing, so fresh and reasonably priced. We had a selection off five or six dishes off the menu along with a bottle of prosecco, the big was £63 , which was such good value. I would recommend a visit either just for a nice drink or sample the amazing food!!

Had a great meal here with family. Fairly large table and we were well looked after. Food was decent quality and a really fair price. Will definitely be back soon

Felt really welcomed on entering the restaurant, staff were lovely and attentive. We were seated and asked for drinks and they were brought promptly. We ordered the lamb rump and the pork three ways, no starters as I noticed they offered a cheese board for dessert! Food was amazing so was the service. Highly recommend.

First time visiting. The place is stunning, and the food was absolutely delicious. Wasn't rushed with the table during a peak time over Christmas. The staff were really good. This place is a must.

We live in hindley but being dog friendly is a massive hit Roxy loves the doggy dinners. The food is always to high standard, staff are welcoming and helpful. Chilled relaxed atmosphere, everyone is friendly we really enjoy it 😃😃

Had the mushroom starter and the cheese pie. The food was delicious. Staff friendly and attentive. Dog friendly. They even had a doggy menu which my dog loved. It looked delicious, I could have ate it myself 😂. The chicken and veg in the photo was the dogs.

New chef in town came a few days ago and it was fantastic, an English version of tapas is available, 3 plates for £16 include mini pies etc all dishes attached are the tapas style mini plates. Sunday roast next visit!

Popped in at the weekend as passing and we both fancied a quick bite to eat. Food was exceptional with a specials menu being offered on Saturday lunch along with my wife having the Cock & Bull. Staff were very friendly and provided really good service. Pub was well decorated and clean and tidy. Fantastic local pub and Will definitely be back

We had an amazing meal here both opting for the steak deal which was cooked to perfection for us, the pics probably don't do the food justice....the portions were great and could have managed without the starter of bread hummus and oil 😋.

Nice place to visit for a selection of pizza pasta plated steaks and chicken dishes good value on Sundays when they do a 2 course for £24 or 3 courses for £30 good choices on the menu to choose from the place is small and well presented it was quiet cold as we were near the door so best to sit on the right wall to protect from this as the door was open a lot of the time but we had a lovely meal and would recommend a visit best to reserve a table as it does get busy. Staff are helpful and friendly and the food we had was cooked and presented beautifully.

Modern restaurant, nice decor. Friendly and efficient staff. Quick service, both of drinks and food. I chose three tapas and that was easily enough for me. Probably best chorizo (with prawns) one that I have ever had, and that includes in Spain.

Lovely place, took my daughter for her birthday, she’s pescatarian and there was a good choice for her. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch which was really well cooked and pink as we like it. My daughter had the herb crusted cod which looked lovely, she cleared her plate. Wine was of good quality, all in all a brilliant place for a special occasion. Portions are very big and I couldn’t finish mine regretfully as it was delicious.

Amazing in every way, huge thank you Eddie who has been nothing but wonderful, really cheered us up when we were feeling a little low. Food was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommend, we will be back!

Had the butchers block and we weren’t disappointed! Been here several times and it’s always fab. Amazing food, great service and always a lovely busy atmosphere! Becca was lovely and very attentive despite being rushed off her feet, she went above and beyond.

Had the rare treat menu. Really lovely food. Katie was very attentive and really looked after us. Even wished me a happy birthday with my dessert.

First and definitely not last time coming here. Good was amazing and so much choice. Love that the small plates mean I can try loads of different dishes! Arancini is my fave. My little girl loved the dough balls and chocolate dipping sauce and I loved the kiwi limoncello spritz!

Had a lovely meal here today, good value on the 3 for £14.50 menu. Food was really tasty, the skewered chicken was to die for. We ate outside in the sun which was beautiful and the lady who served was very polite and accommodating. Can't wait to return. :)

Went here on a Friday afternoon with my friend, I'd been once before years ago . It was my friend's first time. There is so much to choose from and very reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely comfy chairs in a pleasant environment. The food was delicious as was the hot chocolate, it was actually nice and HOT. We'll definitely be going back soon .

I visited Pesto at the Dicconson on a Sunday lunchtime. It's the first time I've been to this eatery, although my dining partner has been before and said it was good. Upon arrival of we were directed to a nice table. The young lady who met us was very friendly and polite. The restaurant area is very well appointed, really classy, with nice big windows. Our orders were taken promptly, and our drinks 🍸 arrived quickly. There's a big selection on the menu. Regarding the food. It was very good and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. I enjoyed the dishes I ordered. Really good flavours. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend this eatery. 👌🏿

Lovely evening dinner here tonight! Family of 7 of us all had 3 courses and was beautiful. Waitress was lovely and very attentive, good menu knowledge , drinks were topped up and overall very good service. Food was exceptional! Every bite was full of flavour and love! Good quality ingredients and every aspect of the dishes was done to perfection Best spot in Wigan and definitely worth the price

We visited Juniper in December for a family meal. Their catering was excellent for our large party of 16. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were pleasant and attentive and all of our requirements were met. The restaurant has a special, elegant dining feel which made for a memorable occasion. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Juniper and look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!

Juniper is a great little find - the food is excellent with a small but well balanced menu for all tastes. We ate lunch here and the food is very good value, 2 courses on the midweek lunch menu for £22. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. The venue is a lovely restored stone cottage with clean, contemporary decor, and an easy journey from M6 Jnct 27. Our waitress was professional and friendly, and managed all the covers in the front of the restaurant without fuss. Will definitely return.

Just stopped here for lunch whilst on a long drive up north as it had great reviews and just off the M6. Save your money at the services and come here instead! Not only will you be helping a local business but you won't be disappointed! Food was great value and really tasty and fresh. The staff were super helpful and attentive. Dog friendly and even has a dog menu!

Great meal for 4 here today. Hadn't booked and the pub was busy at 1pm on a Saturday. Never the less helpful staff found us a suitable table as we were with our dog. Lovely service. Great food. Nice menu. Could not fault. Will be back for sure ☺️

Less than a mile from Junction 27 of the M6. Extensive menu including specials. Cask ales pouring today were on the traditional side from Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company. Huge outdoor seating area - much undercover with heaters and blankets if necessary.

This is a great pub serving great food, the garlic bread with cheese was delicious, the cock and bull that I had was tasty, the lamb Sunday roast my partner loved and the kids cheeseburger was enjoyed too with great service.

Me and my family very enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The food served was perfect, and atmosphere was very cosy, however only thing noticed was the temperature was slightly cold. overall, the service, food and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you!

Absolutely incredible food and service. I am a bit of pain and asked for something potentially awkward, the chef came out to speak to me and went above and beyond. The food was delicious. Never had that kind of experience before. Thoroughly recommend.

My daughter treated me and my partner to a meal at the red door , well where do I start , the soup starter was so tasty , parsnip and apple , just amazing, I had the beef roast dinner and this didn’t disappoint either, the beef was to die for and the veg was delicious, I then followed it with a Dessert of cherry flavour brownie with cherry ice cream . This establishment is just amazing, I’m gutted we only just found it , the unhurried service is just amazing, the staff are so attentive and Jane the owner is a pleasure to chat too , well done guys we will definitely be back .
